Don’t they have an ex-9er like that backing up in Dallas? What did he go for after being a 1rst round pick?
I think Trey Lance is a solid comparison to Richardson.

Both were Top-4 picks. Neither played very much. The Niners moved-on very quickly.

The big difference is the Niners thought they had a quality young-QB in place, in Purdy.

Still, it's a good comparable of a team that made a significant commitment to a QB, but decided relatively quickly that he was NOT-the-guy and moved-on. It's possible Indianapolis has already decided the same for Richardson. I just think it's unlikely; and without getting a quality pick in return, seems like a non-starter.

I still want to trade the Raiders for Meyer. We need a a competitive TE and Meyer is that guy that can block and catch.

Our TE's look subpar and we can afford to pay him. Might be able to get a deal for him to since he's on IR.

This is where it would be nice have our #2 pick. He will be 29 next yr so not sure he warrants a #1 from a team that could possibly be picking higher than 15 if things go south. Sure, a late #1 from a team like the Chiefs, that would be more in line.

I would offer a 2 & 4, but I would bet they want to move him to the AFC.
The tea leaves suggest he's a trade probability. He's 29 and his 2024 base salary is 1.2 mil. Next year and in 2026 he has a base of 16 mil each. Are the Saints going to be a contender in 2025? Who's their new head coach? What's their cap like? If he's still at the top of his game, he's worth keeping AND trading. Would they get as much next year for a 30 year old CB if they start off lousy again? If he's moved will it be because somebody offered them a great deal or because they have a lot of uncertainty going forward?

Phillips looks like another Cowboys defender who wants to rush the passer but isn't willing to do the work vs the run.

Which is 100% why I didn't suggest we should grab him, though somebody will not realizing how he plays.
