Fair enough. I could have sworn you were initially saying that Atwell would be traded before the season started. If all you're saying is that he might be traded this year, then yeah, that's a possibility. But again, if he was traded, who backs up at X?

BUT WHAT ABOUT the future? Aren't the Browns just pushing a potential problem further down the road and making it worse? Watson hasn't played well for the Browns, starting 12 games over two seasons, completing south of 60% of his passes and throwing 14 touchdowns to nine interceptions. And if he plays poorly this season and Cleveland decides it wants to cut him to move on after 2024, the Browns would not only owe him another $92 million in guaranteed cash but also incur an incomprehensible dead-money cap charge of $172.77 million.

sooner than later some team(s) are going to get burned with these insane contracts. or not. not my money.

They probably can't move on from him after 2024 even if he plays poorly. That's the thing with guaranteed money; they've locked themselves in for some time.

It's gonna be funny when Harbaugh gets sent home in the playoffs due to a missed FG. Dicker will, after all, revert to Dicker at some point.
