Nope. It would only happen if you were to be a harpy and bag on current members of the organization. That still stands. No full circle. Fish isn't part of the organization anymore. Pretty simple.

Not so sure man. If you just mentioned 7-9 back in the day that was a vacation all in itself, nothing else attached. I am not a man of experience but did see those 5 day cruises handed out.

That said I think the current modding is a lot less aggressive TBH and whatever you guys made internally of have been for the better.

Dude. Let it go. I've been on this site since the beginning and have read almost every post as a moderator. I'm quite well versed on our policy and how we have enforced it in the past. You only saw what you think you saw. You apparently weren't aware of either warnings or the number of times a person might have harped on the issue to the point they either received a time out or a ban. We really haven't changed our program on this. What HAS changed is that we are in a period of a much better regime. I can guarantee you we have the same exact criteria and limits.

You are misremembering if you think that happened as you say.


And for the record, the "modding" tone hasn't changed.

Aggression has never been any part of the moderation here on ROD. Aggression should not be confused with consistency in rule enforcement. We have always reciprocated the respect we're shown when having to put on our ref shirts here.

And for the record... I am way more grouchy today than I was back in those days of gloom.

I know that all of our Mod Staff would own our shit no matter how wrong we might be on decisions we make here. If we fuck up... we own it and have always been like open books.

And just to clarify here because I'm not sure what you are actually saying there.

The Mod wasn't saying anything there about getting rid of the member or even giving them a timeout. The Mod made it clear that the comment would be removed... and he gave a great pictorial example too.

Pretty much exactly what I was going to say. I don't see where @Mojo Ram threatened a ban or time out. I know that the response would be the same today.
