I won't lie. I did not expect to be sitting here up 3-0 in the series. I didn't expect a deep run. I thought the injuries to the starting pitching would be too much to overcome. Now here we are. One win away. Tonight a bullpen game. Normally thats not a good thing. But its been working with this bullpen. No idea who starts. But whoever it is won't likely go more than an inning or two.
SOmetimes you have to lose a battle to win a war.

Like game 5 in Citi Field. Id love to sweep these Yankee Fuccs. But if we do it in 5, thats fine too!!

Do it for Tommy, for Vinny, For Fernando, For Newk, For Don.....for ALL OF US!!!

Well, Imma try to watch a Dodger's game for the first time this century. I was the die hard fan before that strike in the 90's and the steroid era. I'm hoping to see something real without steroids. Go Dodgers, and forever Eff the Yankees!
Interesting because after cheering for them since 1977 I hopped off MLB during that 90's strike too. I did cheat and watch McGuire hit some homers in '97 but after that trial I soured on the steroid bum and stayed away from the MLB for years.

The 2020 WS was the first time I actually watched a full Dodgers game and it was nice to see them win it. These days I can't watch any other MLB team but the Dodgers. Same with the NBA I can't watch any other team but the Lakers. I'm a lot more open with the NFL.

There was a strike in 81 and those things don't affect me. Its a business and if I have zero experience being in any business I let them figure it out.

The steroid era was handled very poorly as we all knew what was going on. I believe the league has responded well to that historic travisty.

GO DODGERS!!!

I'm pretty much the same. But lately I haven't watched the NBA games until the playoffs. And its just the Lakers for me. Funny, but if the Dodgers are losing so much I know they aren't winning, I don't wanna watch the rest of the game. I get too frustrated with them because I know they're better than that. When it comes to the Rams they could be losing by 30 and I will watch to the end.

For now we enjoy a well deserved championship. But we'll be discussing the off-season moves. Hope they re-sign Buehler. I think he's ready to return to pre injury form. Would like to see T. Hernandez back. Rumors have them very interested in Juan Soto. But he'd cost a helluva lot more.

I want Teo back, badly.
He needs to be a priority.

Qualifying offers have to be in 5 days.

There is so much talk about him right now. He was the last guy to leave the dugout and many are interpreting some of his moves as a farewell to the stadium like he already knows he won't be back. Doubt we can pay him but would love him. I'd love to see Edman at SS all season so could see an OF, 2b and 3b potentially added though I'd also like Teo back and Pages to take a step forward.

Exactly the same for me!

I was a diehard fan and loved the Dodgers. But the strike and steroids and I was out. I said 7 years ago when Ohtani first came to the states that I’d watch baseball again if the Dodgers got him. I watched the highlights on YouTube for almost every game and watched most of the post-season. I was moving this summer so I didn’t regularly watch much of anything.

I really like the way they’ve changed baseball. So many needed changes.

I’m really curious what our pitching staff, especially our starting rotation is gonna look like on opening day. The number of pitchers we accumulated this season is WILD!!!

I hate interleague play, except in the Series.

I mostly meant things like replay, the pitch clock and the much stricter grading of the accuracy of called balls and strikes

Blasphemy from a fan of the opposing (aka bitch slapped) team, but I was kinda hoping Freeman would have hit another HR in that game. What an amazing streak and it would have been really cool as things turned out because it would have been active.
Alas, cheers to you guys and here’s to another streak starting

Not quite on the level of 1988 but this one was so satisfying. I said long before the playoffs I didn't expect a deep run. Thought the injuries to the starting pitchers was too much to overcome. Going into the post season with only 3 starters. Starters that had their ups and downs. Playing several bullpen games. It just didn't have the look of a stacked roster. And their best hitter slumping in the world series. Yet, they found a way.

LFG Dodgers!! Lifelong fan here and there is just something special about beating the Yanks in the Series. 2 of the most historic and legendary teams. Next year will be fun too, with Ohtani pitching again!
