I keep hearing (from the media) that the Padres and Diamondbacks can't keep up their current pace. But once (if) they catch the Dodgers, all they have to do is have a pace comparible to LA. Should certainly be interesting.

With all their injuries I am surprised the Dodgers are doing as well as they are.

Regular season doesn't matter anymore. Its who gets hot, and healthy at the right time. I like where we are at.....

We can't say the Dodgers slumping allowed the D-backs and Padres to get back in it. Both teams have been playing lights out. Dodgers haven't been playing that bad.

The good thing about having that big lead a few weeks ago is it keeps you in the race when you slump or someone else gets hot. Things tend to even out. Hopefully the Dodgers build a lead back.

Dodgers are up 7-4 in the 6th inning tonight. With that bullpen we'll see if its enough. Too many times it hasn't been enough.

Edit, it may not be enough. Cardinals score two runs in the 6th to make it 7-6

I do not have much confidence in Grove. I would send him down again.

They did hang on for the win. Klopech closed it out. Klopech's numbers weren't great before he came over to the Dodgers. But he's been lights out with them. Consistently hitting 100+ mph. Had one hit 103 yesterday.

The last time tonight's top 7 in the batting order played together was May 15th.

Who would you rather have in the line-up

Keirmaier or Rojas

Keirmaier or Rojas
I'd say Rojas. He's been hitting above his career average. And he's come through with a number of clutch hit RBI's. Keirmaier's hitting around .200. His career average is .246. So its not like its an aberration and he'll start hitting .300. He's more of a late inning defensive replacement when they have a lead and need defense more than offense.

Looks like we are keeping both. I like where we are at. SD loses last night!!!

I completely disagree with keeping Taylor over Heyward

Heyward has much more power than Taylor and Taylor has been truly awful this year.

Maybe its because Taylor is a guy who can play multiple positions? He can play in the infield and outfield. Heyward is strictly an outfielder.

That is true but I have been calling for Taylor to be DFA to the minor leagues for awhile now to see if he can get his touch back.

I doubt anyone would pick up his waiver.

Bobby Miller had probably his best game this year which isn't saying much.

But if he is starting to get his stuff back - that would be a huge boost to the pitching staff.

Kinda feel bad for the guy who had Shohei's 40th HR in the glove until the guy next to him hit the glove and the ball dropped onto the playing field. OUCH!
