Eagles were the better roster. Rams ran them to the wire with smoke and mirrors, and could have won this game had Stafford handed the fucking ball off properly in the redzone, Williams had prioritized ball security, Dotson hadn't false started, Limmer had blocked the biggest threat on the fucking Eagles DL, and so on and so forth.

McVay and the staff did a fantastic job this year. The players did too. They just didn't execute the way they had to in order to knock this Eagles team off.

With 4 minutes to go we had a 2% chance of winning.

When we got past the 50 on the last drive we had a 50% chance of winning.

I am pretty bummed with the end of that last drive. I had already gone thru the 5 stages with 4 minutes to go.

I now need a few more stages that do not exist.

Well, given the start of the season I have to commend the Rams organization for getting this far. Am I happy they lost of course not, do I like the way they lost absolutely not. But they overcame a ton of adversity to get this far so count me proud to be a Rams fan.

Not much to vent about the rams are a very young team and it showed today. Lots of self inflicted wounds and we were still in the game up till the end. We have to tighten up as a unit if we're gonna get back to the big game.

Some things things that need adjusting this off season.

I think McVay should let go of play calling and start getting away from the 11 personnel. He's too predictable
We need an upgrade at the following positions

CB
ILB
big DT
Future RT
Fast outside WR

Other than that if we can stay healthy this team is pretty stacked. If we can eliminate the big lapses in defense and the predictable nature of our offense we'll be on top again next year.

yeah the eagles roster is overall so much superior.

We just have a all time coach and QB.

Another vent: imagine how good this roster would be not burning cap space on Noteboom, Parkinson, and Jonah Jackson all getting paid handsomly to not even be starters. By the time we free ourselves from those albatross contracts we'll need to re-allocate the funds to re-sign our own young stars of where there are many. Every team has some bad contracts and free agency misses. It happens. But to have 3 that big hurts.

Noteboom is definitely gone this offseason. He's suited up for the last time with the Rams. Not sure of the cap impact for cutting him, but I don't think it's that bad.

Parkinson they'll probably keep. Not sure what they'll do about JJ, although I'd like to see if they could trade him.

turnovers by the offense and some bad 3rd down blocking.. no bueno.

However can't ignore 285 yards rushing and 8.4 ypg by the eagles.
I'm most certainly not ignoring that. A couple tackles on runs and we win. A couple runs, better blocking on a few plays by Dotson and Hav or no turnovers and we win.

For everyone thinking Philly is the better roster, I am not sure I agree. Sure, their roster is better if you look at # of good players, depth, etc. But Hurts had almost 0 yds passing ffs. Siriani's clock management was insanely bad all day. Their poor play calling and play design were gifts. Other than Barkley doing his thing, they were completely useless. With a gap that big in the Rams' favour at QB and at head coach, as far as I am concerned, we are the better team - not everything gets weighted equally, some components of a team matter more than others. Which is why this loss is so angering. We should have won but pissed it away.
