Skowronek is an alternate. Terrible STs but he gets some mention anyway

Perhaps... but I see some other D-lineman that also got snubbed - it can be tough for rookies.

I just don't think we can say in reference to "flying under the radar" that we had a lot of players who got snubbed.

For the most part, the guys that deserved it on our team were chosen.

Tbh Dotson too. I'm really hoping they resign him.

I know the Pro Bowl is old hat for AD99, but still, 10 in a row...damn.

One of only 16 defensive players in NFL history to go to that many.

They probably split the vote at Place-kicker, allowing Brandon Aubrey (35-of-35 on FGAs) to back-in. Damn It!
He’s also missed three extra point attempts, which goes to show that those aren’t automatic for any kicker… despite what some people think.

This has been and always be a simple social popularity contest. I wouldn't get mad at all.....this is just a side show.

They even call it a name recognition contest. Its just supposed to be fun.....not a reality of skill.
To be honest I would prefer that AD, Stafford, Kupp, Puka and any other deserving Rams player not participate in the Pro Bowl anyways. I feel they deserve the recognition, but the game itself isn't worth the risk of injury. Which is why there is so little effort on the field for the Pro Bowl.

For a DT to go to a Pro Bowl he has to be a starter. It is not a rule, but no one has ever done from his positon. One in a while a DE with a lot of sacks can make it. Pro Bowl is for starters --- with the exceptions of specialists -- K, P, KT, ST, etc

At this point, the risk for injury is a lot less than it used to be. It’s been reduced to a flag football game.

I'm not sure what you mean, how is Kobie not a starter?

I don't think so. He comes in on known passing downs more than anything.
Technically Turner has only started 4 games, Brown is usually the starting NT, 12 games. Turner does however play more, he's #2 in total snaps for dlineman.
AD- 867, 80.80%
Turner- 660, 61.51%
Williams- 565, 52.66%
Brown- 289, 26.93%
Murch- 227, 21.16%

I may go since it's here in O-Town again... but hopefully none of our players play in the game due to their season not being completed yet.

I'd get a kick out of meeting Puka.

Just that he does not start games. He plays the majority of the time but he's not the starting nose tackle. Bobby Brown III is. He's not a starting 3-tech/4i that's Aaron Donald. Jonah Williams is the 3rd starter on the DL.

So, a starter is the guy that starts games and Turner is a heavy rotational guy... he stepped in as a starter when Brown was down and he always plays in the nickel defenses and he spells Brown at nose in the base defense (and Penny)

So, just looking at history, there has never been a defensive tackle make the Pro Bowl that wasn't a starter. In Pro Bowl history there have been a few DEs that made it, when they were rotational guys, just not defensive tackles.

So, that what I mean, he does not start in the base defense. It's not an insult it is a fact. And that fact penalizes him, an all guys in his situation that play DT.

On rare occations, very rare, do people make PB without being a starter...does not mean it's fair, just that it is a thing
