He was a nobody who came in and earned a niche. But like so many players on this roster just another one where we needed to upgrade anyway.

Rams have desperately needed a returner for years. It would be very helpful to start looking for that skill among these wideouts and RBs we're bringing in.
Our return game was absolute trash until they gave him the duty. He was also very good in the run game, had a nice burst, slippery and good vision. Same for short pass situations and jet sweeps. He was a good player I feel was worth hanging on to imo. I don't see the point of wasting a draft pick to replace a player that we know can produce and is cheap. Too many holes to fill atm.

Kendrick was a returner in college.

I had a buddy die from that. He was around 50 but in decent shape. Hopefully they caught it earlier. It was pretty rough watching him go through it. I certainly wish him well.
The Saints must have a good medical staff. Following the Eagles 17' SB, their longsnapper, John Dorenbos, was traded to the Saints, but during his physical, the Saints found he had a serious heart issue that likley saved his life.

That's a good indication of how deeply deficient the roster really is. Kupp is the only receiver who makes a difference. Atwell might, Jefferson might, Robinson used to, but none of them have really proven it with the Rams. This is at best an average receiver corps (except for Kupp). I hope they can prove me wrong, but I doubt it. Atwell maybe.

Rams desperately need more real playmakers on offense beyond Stafford and Kupp.
I believe there very well might be talent in this Wide Out cadre FarNorth yet.

But until Snead/McVay can put together at least an average blocking NFL OL :laugh4:to protect #9 you could have 4 all pro WR's on the field but #9 can't get the ball out to them. #9 was more molested in 2022 than I can ever recall what he went through in Detroit.

Then you add the very big fact, McVay has not shown any ability to develop a running game without a Jeff Fisher-drafted healthy Gurley either.

Plenty of bad :crap:here to spread, to get on the coaches, players & GM for what we saw going down on the field in 2022. From my point of view, it all started with the lack of talent in the OL.

Would love to see the WRs step up, and you're right to point out the oline not protecting Stafford and lack of a running game. But I would still like to see the Rams add a real No. 2 receiver. Another serious threat in addition to Kupp. Don't see that in our current WRs. But the guys we have would be very capable as long as we are not depending on them to be big time playmakers on their own.

Maybe they don’t envisage too many teams punting to us
That should not be in blue font or changed a little bit.

Almost every punt to us last year had us catching the ball inside the 20 or going into the end zone.

I don't see this changing much.

All you need is someone who can fair catch when that happens.

I think you missed the point of this sarcasm. The OP is saying that our defense is so bad, that the other teams will be scoring touchdowns on every drive and thus no need to punt.
