Sounds like the Goff deal after the Rams lost in the SB. Really don’t think he has been any better than Goff was leading up to what was a bad deal for the team.

Too much for a running QB that has only had 1 good year, behind an insanely elite o-line, and has already sustained an injury to a throwing arm. Small sample size. Let's see how defences adjust. And I like Hurts and think he will be very good for a long time. But I would be nervous with this contract. I think he proves better than Goff but agree it is similar in terms of paying a huge amount arguably too early. Could burn the Eagles.

I very good, not great season for Hurts pretty much the same thing Goff had in that SB run (Not stat specific) and Goff didn’t have the shoulder injury.

It will be interesting to see how that contract handicaps them when trying to keep other talent.
