I saw the Ott / Rams work out, and was going to post but see that @CGI_Ram already has done so.

It makes me a little sad that I had a moment of excitement about my favorite team working out a long snapper that didn’t even play last season.

Man, this has been a tough offseason, following a brutal regular season.
We will rally around... Umm... Umm... That f**king longsnapper... and play good football!!

Jordan confirming Rams acting like an expansion team, late round draft picks, UDFA's and "cheap vets who don't affect comp math".

That's not "re-tooling", That's a recipe for the #1 draft pick next year.

That's pretty much how we've been building the foundation of this team since we moved back to Los Angeles. It's worked out pretty well so far.

That's far from the truth. We added high caliber free agents by trading away high draft picks plus we signed a stud LT in FA named Whitworth along with adding players that didn't affect the comp formula. We aren't doing that this time around. Anyone saying we aren't taking a different approach is fooling themselves. I get the approach and why it's being done, but it's a new way of operating for the time being. Both McVay and Snead have alluded to this already.

A 6.5 win prediction? Oh my god, as a guy who hates losing, what the hell should I watch from September to January? Hockey? We haven't been this low since 2017, when it was 5.5. And what a terrible year that was, eh? But that should tell you all you need to know about the reliability of win total predictions. Predictions, by betting sites or football publications are about as accurate as fan base predictions. To put it into two words, "nobody knows". But in preparation for the worst, let's start the kvetching and hand wringing now. We'll be well practiced by the time teams kick off the season!!!

Yeah but that year I was predicting at minimum 9 wins (and got a lot of shit for it)

That year I was telling everyone that we just needed a good center and a very good left tackle (and who did we get?)

This year well um not as good.

I really hope I am wrong, On one note - I was really wrong last year

Your prediction of what we need or the results, which we won't find out for another 7 or 8 months?

Just curious ...
What did you do between 2005 and 2016 when the Rams averaged five wins-per-year for more than a decade?

There was a nine-year stretch (1990-1998) when they also averaged just five wins-per-season.

Talkin' to myself and feelin' old
Sometimes I'd like to quit
Nothin' ever seems to fit
Hangin' around
Nothin' to do but frown
Rainy days and Mondays always get me down

I watched every game. (y) Even drove out to St. Louis a couple of times and took a train on a third venture to watch the games. But that was kinda my point. We're all gonna watch and if they lose, we ain't gonna like it. So why, oh why subject yourself to more torture predicting doom and gloom for the 6 to 7 months before hand, when you don't really know WTF is gonna happen? Reverse psychology? Feel better when it doesn't happen? Maybe those years 2005-2016 turned a lot of fans into masochists? To each his own.

I guess I don't see it as 'torture' to try to objectively analyze your favorite team.
