I kind of wonder if the Saints stole our man and we panicked and took the next QB on our board? Or maybe Bennett was the Rams' preferred QB all along, so we pounced after the Saints went QB, being afraid of a QB run... in either case I'd hope not...

Don't know for sure, but if Haener was their guy, and they were stunned, they would have used up all of their time to make their pick. However, I think the pick was in with much time left on the clock. That tells me they were decisive on this player.

Interesting. He’s like a Wolford clone. He just played on a much better team. If a guy is a 5-10 QB, he better be a great scrambler or runner. I don’t see that with Bennett.
 
I haven't followed college ball that much, so I'll reserve judgment on Bennett. That being said, he did play QB for two consecutive national championships, which means he's got some big game experience. And was a Heisman contender last season, meaning he was a big part of at least this second national championship. Also, there is no doubt this pick wouldn't have been made without McVay's blessing, so he obviously sees something. If nothing else, he will be a definite upgrade at backup QB. There's no way he's not better than Wolford or Perkins.

I don't know anything about this guy, but there must be something about him that is scaring teams off.. I just looked at Adeboware's measurables and size...he looks good. But why is he getting bypassed? What are we missing?
 
As a backup QB, he's a good guy to have. should have a long career as a backup QB. That's how he should be looked at -- not a starter.
I just prefer getting that type of guy later in the draft. But if he's your guy to solidify backup QB, then i guess so.

Well we still got plenty of later round picks to go perhaps we stumble upon some gems along the way.

A.A. went to Indy in the early part of Round 4.
