Gunshot from Joe Mixon’s house was fired at kids in NERF war: Neighbor

March 7, 2023 | 2:17pm

Police are investigating an incident in which shots were allegedly fired from Bengals running back Joe Mixon’s house at high schoolers.

A neighbor of Mixon’s told Fox19 in Cincinnati that shots were fired from the home at a group of teens who were playing with NERF guns outside of a house next door.

It is not known who fired the weapon from Mixon’s house.

One juvenile was transported to the hospital with undisclosed, non-life-threatening injuries.

Mixon’s sister, Shelonda, told WLWT in Cincinnatithat the Bengals running back was not involved in the shooting.

Hamilton County Sheriff’s Deputies entered Mixon’s home early Tuesday morning.

Several hours later, police left the home, crime scene tape was removed and no arrest was made in the incident.

A representative for Mixon did not immediately respond to an inquiry from The Post into the matter.

Earlier this offseason, a warrant was issued for Mixon’s arrest after he was accused of pointing a gun at a woman in Cincinnati.

Two things….

1) If his sister is living with him, he’s the care taker so I’d bet 100.00 she’d say anything to protect him (as I would if I were his brother living off his dime).

2) As prior LE. When a weapon is fired from a house, you bet your arse someone is going to feel cold hard steel on their wrists. No arrest or investigation is an outright blatant abuse of the law. Especially with a minor victim involved. Celebrity or not, this looks bad on Mixon but incredibly bad on the local LE agency.

Some of these guys are just destined to be behind bars. Absolute scum. Also these beatdown vids I am seeing more and more of groups beating one or two guys are sickening. That's some coward shit.

Seriously if this incident drops Carter to hags pick I’m going to puke
Agreed. Obviously he was stupid to do that shit but he's young and fleeing the scene, well, he's got a lot to lose. I wouldn't downgrade him at all on the draft board.

Thats a big blow to the Lions. He's finally healthy. It does look like he is only getting 6 games rather then the season, however.

Brad Holmes and the Lions moved up in Round 1 of last year’s Draft to select Williams even though he was rehabbing a knee injury. Some rated him ahead of Garrett Wilson who was the Offensive Rookie of the Year.

Detroit included the Rams’ first round pick (#32 overall) in that trade.

Yea they were excited to have him healthy, big time talent expected to break out.

Gonna have to lean on Marvin Jones and Josh Reynolds next to St. Brown.

6 games - they should be happy with that.

Rules are rules and Williams should have known better but seems a bit dumb the NFL is now embracing gambling and the millions they can make off of it but suspend a player because they made a bet on a non-NFL game on NFL property.

This is so dumb… the nfl goes ball deep with multiple gambling sites including Caesar’s and FanDuel and the rest and they have the nerve to prohibit players from ANY gambling activity???

The hypocrisy makes my eyes hurt…

It's different when the players, the ones who determine the outcome by their effort, are gambling on football results. But outside of that effect I agree they should be able to gamble.
