Jack Campbell and LVN having nice combines.

Glad the Rams cut bum ass Bobby Wagner to draft Jack Campbell. Just an absolute genius move.
With the Rams needs at O-Line, Edge and Cornerback, you want then to use their top pick on an off-ball-LB that would compete with Ernest Jones to see who stays on the field in all passing situations?

I like Campbell but that seems like a luxury.

Of course, the Rams have drafted RBs (Akers and Henderson) in the 2nd and 3rd rounds; and WRs (Jefferson and Atwell) in the 2nd round when I thought they had greater needs, so What The Fuck do I know.

There appears to be good depth at Edge and CB; and some of the top-interior-OL may be available at #36.
I am a huge proponent of drafting best-available and staying true to your draft-board with higher picks ... especially top-20.

At #36, I am hoping the Rams select the highest-rated player on their board at either O-Line, Edge or Cornerback; and waiver from that only if there's a player (at a different position) they had rated Much Higher who remained available.

It's all a pipe dream by me. I know it isn't going to happen, but I'd rather they take a stud LB than a dinky little WR, RB, or CB like they love to do. Need some fuckin attitude on this team. Way to soft.

Put-Down-the-Pipe!

I couldn't help myself. I like Campbell too. The Soup and the Iowa Linebacker.

Again, I could not help myself.

Haha! Well played! I agree with you, I'm just tired of these little, soft dudes they try to be cute with. I want some physicality, some DUDES and attitude. I don't care what position. But hate how cute they're getting with some of the finesse shit.

Sorry I figured the 30 year old part was an obvious exaggeration. As for the back to back championships who cares? Look how great those rosters were his abilities are average. He's small with a middling arm at best. He might even go undrafted.
Sounds like a good guy to replace Wolford

I agree, although if Gibbs were there at 36 I’d take him. He would be the TG in this offense for 4-5 years. Move Akers for a mid round pick. Just dreams.

Or move Akers after camp / during the season. There are always injuries league wide. And speaking of injuries, keep Akers around? What could they get with him being a UFA in 2024? A 6th? A 7th? Higher if the team.is desperate? Point is, getting a guy like Gibbs affords them a multitude of options. Gibbs or no Gibbs, I certainly hope they add to the RB room prior to the 5th round.

Nolan Smith made himself a boatload of money yesterday and he won’t be any where near our pick now

i don't think they are going to draft a player that according to their board has a lower grade unless there is a massive need. if there is a massive need that reflexes on their scouting or who is setting the board. i think that the last few years the rams have not sent anyone to the collage bowls or the combine. if that is correct (not sure of my memory) they must not trust their scouts or someone thinks they know better.

he'll now fulfill his obligation to the Army
Good. Not a fan of players getting out of obligation to serve after receipt of that education. Put it to use as intended.
