Screw Irvin. I recall he was involved in the same case that Faulk was when the wardrobe woman accused Faulk, Irvin and another person of sexual harassment. Faulk and the other guy got canned but Irvin kept his job. I’d rather listen to Faulk talk football than Marble Mouth Mike.

I hope he’s a goner. I do not like listening to him.
Got it, you don’t care about our judicial system and the standards we have in America.

Sigh… he was injury prone due to a genetic issue in how his shoulders are naturally constructed. Both have since been fixed with surgery and he’s been healthy… and produced well.

If his projected salary out of free agency is close to an estimated $5.4Mil., then I'm not seeing him as all that affordable, plus this will adversely affect our 2024 Comp. picks. Being 35 years of age isn't likely to boost his value much either.
I'm for going young & sticking with the draft this year. jmo.

Saffold has missed 5 games in the past 7 years.

That aside, Blaine Grisak and his colleagues at Turf Show Times throw anything and everything out there.

Saffold and health?

If the Rams got the 2022 Saffold, fans would probably be content, as far as health.
If the Rams got the 2021 Saffold, fans would probably be disappointed.
With the Rams' luck, people can guess which one they'd get.

I've seen people look at Saffold's games missed stat while ignoring the snaps missed.
In 2021 he missed many snaps. In 2022, not so much.

Saffold's last surgery, that I'm aware of, was prior to 2021.
Here's 2021 Saffold on his shoulder nerve issue:
Basically it’s a nerve thing. It’s numbness, tingling, all that thing. Sometimes I can shake it out,” Saffold said, via Terry McCormick of TitansInsider.com. “I waited like four plays before I went down (Sunday) because it was giving me fits. The crazy thing about it is it could be from anything. So the question is how do we manage it.”

So, how did Saffold end up managing it and staying healthy through the 2022 season?
“I took a month off from everything. From working out. From football. Everything,” Saffold said via video conference. “I feel a lot better.”

So with the time off, he stayed healthy in 2022 and delivered a 43.7 grade from pff, fwiw.

Don't break the bank or stress the cap situation for this guy.

Since he is a well known celebrity (and this goes for all celebrities really), when there is easy access to video footage, they should release footage from the lobby immediately since it impacts the celebrities job status.

If it shows Irvin talking with the woman for 45 seconds and shaking hands and then leaving, then the complaint should be immediately dropped and he be reinstated to the Superbowl.

Just my opinion.
I totally agree that since it impacts his immediately responsibilities/income, they should do this. I also think if it shows him with her longer that 45 seconds, and/or groping her, they should also release that video immediately.

That’s stupidly cheap for a OG of his caliber… the Bengals made that error with Big Whit… I wouldn’t sign him to a 4 year deal, but a 2 year deal would be amazing… I wanna win the Super Bowl and having a kick ass running game goes a REALLY long way to making that happen

Well, ... this is potentially Saffold's final long-term contract, so while $5.4 Mil sounds like a good deal, I'd rather re-sign a much younger Greg Gaines to the DL with that money. Also, Saffold's overall PFF grade for 2022 was a lowly 43.7. Not every OLineman over 35 should be compared to the great Andrew Whitworth, some are actually on their way out.
Saffold was an excellent player for the Rams, and I was quite disappointed that we let him go at the time, but I'm far more interested in developing future talent thru the draft, so I'm into more of a youth movement where players can create some long lasting chemistry. jmo.

Rams have to be looking at FA guards. If they can get someone they like in here at LG it would help a ton. Then draft a young C. Still worried about LT but at a minimum they need to add someone.

I believe the rams are or at least should be more concerned about LT. It wasn't til big whit came that helped us transform this franchise with some other obvious moves. So I don't see in what world this team doest desperately seek out a LT.

Noteboom strength was never his best attribute what was was his lateral quickness. With an Achilles injury that will surely be affected if not end his career as a legit starter. Having said that even if he did return to his true unknown form he still wasn't showing he was good enough and it could take half a season to even get to that point.

LT is an urgent need if we are to remain competitive.

He's countersued his accuser and the hotel for false accusation.

If they feel confident in our young guys then cool. I’m just saying he’s be a BIG upgrade over what we’ve had, idc about the PFF grade.

Honestly, I’d rather they take OL with out first two picks in the draft and they won’t do that.

I look at the 9ers and Eagles and their OLs make them solid year in and out.

So, ultimately, idc how they upgrade the OL, they just need to do it… and not incrementally or slightly… it needs to be big and with intention

Here is the story on it;

MICHAEL IRVINPULLED FROM NFLN'S SB LVII COVERAGE... After Incident At Hotel With Woman

Michael Irvin will no longer be one of the faces of NFL Network's Super Bowl coverage this week -- the former Dallas Cowboys star who's turned into a huge TV personality has been pulled from shows following an incident he had with a woman in Arizona on Sunday night.

Irvin told the Dallas Morning News the encounter happened at a hotel in Glendale -- the site of this weekend's SB LVII -- after he had returned to the property following a night out on the town.

Irvin says he spoke with the woman for roughly 45 seconds in the lobby -- and described it all as an almost entirely non-physical interaction.

The woman, though, according to the DMN, launched a complaint about Irvin's actions -- leading to the NFLN pulling him from their coverage on Tuesday.
Irvin says he's been left "perplexed" by it all -- explaining to the outlet it was such an innocuous conversation, he hardly even remembered it.

"When I got back after going out … I came into the lobby, and I talked to somebody," Irvin said. "I talked to this girl. I don't know her, and I talked to her for about 45 seconds."

"We shook hands. Then, I left. … That’s all I know."

He added, "I don’t really recall that conversation, to tell you the truth. We were out drinking. It was just a friendly conversation. ‘What’s up?’ I don’t even know. … I am totally perplexed."

An NFL Network exec confirmed to TMZ Sports Irvin will not be a part of the station's SB coverage this week. But, it remains unclear what the woman alleges Irvin said or did during their meetup -- as Irvin adamantly denied any wrongdoing.

"What law did I break?" Irvin said according to the Dallas Morning News. "There was definitely nothing physical. … That’s honestly all that happened. Nobody was in my room. It was a 45-second conversation in the lobby, a handshake and we left. … I don’t know. I don’t know what this is, and it’s running me crazy."

Irvin had conducted interviews for NFL Network at the Super Bowl's opening night on Monday. It's not yet known if he'll make his other regularly scheduled appearances on ESPN this week.

Michael Irvin sues accuser, Marriott for $100 million over allegedly false accusation of misconduct

Via TMZ.com, Irvin filed the lawsuit on Thursday afternoon. He claims the accuser and the hotel hoped to make him the next victim of “cancel culture.”

“Rash and thoughtless actions can have severe consequences,” the lawsuit contends. “Marriott [parent company of Renaissance Hotels] apparently did not appreciate these simple truths when, in a rush to judgment, its employees and management inaccurately and inflammatorily accused Mr. Irvin of misconduct to the National Football League.”

Per the lawsuits, eyewitnesses support Irvin’s contention that he “casually exchanged pleasantries” with the accuser — a hotel employee — “shook her hand, and went to his room alone.”

“It is clear Michael is the latest victim of our cancel culture where all it takes is an accusation to ruin a person’s life,” Irvin’s lawyer said in a statement issued to TMZ.com. “Michael looks forward to clearing his name in court and hopes the Court of public opinion will see the truth come out as well.”

Surveillance video could help clear things up, if the video is clear enough to show what did and didn’t happen.

Irvin will need something better than his own recollection to prove the case. He has said that he doesn’t fully recall what happened, and that he had been “out drinking.”
