Douglas twice almost had a pick-6 against the Rams on Saturday but the first time he was flagged for taunting, and removed from the game. Gruden appeared to have said something to Douglas as he walked by him coming off-the-field.

Just speculation but Gruden was pissed by the scrimmage fights a few days earlier. If Douglas was border-line to make the roster, a veteran like him would be a good 'example' for Gruden to send a message to the team.

Whoever the Rams cast-off, someone like Eric Banks, Jonah Williams or even Marquis Copeland could find a way onto their radar if released. I hope the Rams can find a way to hang on to Banks/Williams, otherwise I'll be surprised if they can make it to our practice squad.
Jets are near $20mil under the CAP, so they have an ability to go after someone far more established if a team is willing to make a trade. jmo.
