It's really nothing to worry about until final roster cuts it's just something I do in my mind now. For some reason they're telling every team not to worry about those other 2 players until September and it's kind of meaningless the way they do it. But eventually you have to count the 53 man active roster that's the number that has to be under the cap.
I really thought it was just the top-51 that counted; and that was year-round.

Learn something new every day.

Why is it that with all the information and terms of the signings we can find for when other teams sign players that we still can’t find out how much DeSean Jackson was signed for?:explode:

How the fuck did I miss the A.J. Green going to the shitbirds thing?? I frikken live bouncing between sports pages. That combo could be something to be concerned a little about. Hopkins/Green.

I liked and quoted since you're on ROD. Aj Green is like toast you forget about on the old school press down and burn it. Yup. Nothing but respect.

I think agents normally leak contract terms so they can thump their chest as to what their client signed for. Thus the small deals dont seem to get announced by said agents. Still dont know what Reynolds or Brown got... same situation.

Thus clearly Jackson got very little.

I saw something yesterday I think it was where Del Rio for 3 years with the Raiders over .500 including a 12-4 playoff team. Three years Chuckie has been back 19-29 including a 4-12 team. But Gruden sells tickets.... for now.
He isn’t a bad coach, he is a consistent average coach according to his HC career stats. He will probably have more wins than losses.

Chuckie? Oh I agree it's just funny they fired Del Rio who's a similar coach and got worse results to start off. Gruden went through and spent a shit ton of cap space on OL then cut almost all of them within what 2 years or 1? He's largely over rated because he was and is the coach of the Raiders and their fans love him and he took the team somebody else built and won a SB with them.

The Raiders have had 2 winning seasons in the past 20yrs. Plus three years at 8-8. That’s under the radar suckatude.

They sort of collapsed this past season to finish 8-8. Losing 3 of final 4 games.

This is Gruden’s 4th season. Fans going to get antsy if they don’t have a winning season. So... 2021 is a big year for Chuckie and Mayock.

Raiders are kind of stupid with personnel. We knew some team would overpay Littleton how do the Raiders watch his film with us and not notice him failing to fill holes in the run game. They must use PFF or something. That was a really fucking stupid contract. It's like someone put together a highlight vid for Mayock and he was blown away by Littleton's pursuit ability with zero understanding of his weaknesses.

It's every year. This year they dish a good center when they have enough holes already. If Gruden is smart he'll get to work on that front office and try to get them doing a better job of evaluating.

They have a reality TV vibe to me, or something like that. I almost can’t take them seriously. lol

But, I also felt the same with Brady and Tampa... they proved it. So, maybe Gruden and Mayock can too.

Still, the Raiders feel wobbly to me.

David Carr is sort of drifting through this regime too. Like a carryover they should have dealt with sooner to make this team their own.

Or signing LaMarcus Joyner and playing him at corner. I don’t know what they saw that made them think that was a better position for him. Or, if they needed a corner then why sign a safety to play that position?
