Agree, we have no physical freaks at WR or TE. We have two very good complimentary guys and decent TE's. We have no difficult mismatches. We need to add that type of player to make a play when the offense is stymied. Look what Metcalf or Hopkins do for their team. Or Tyreke Hill. The Chiefs don't win their SB without Hill's big play late.

You never see pre-game hype about how will our opponent match up with one of our skill players. Like you see with Adams, Hopkins, Julio, Hill or even Metcalf.

That is just reality and too many here keep saying how great our skill guys are. Like Stafford will never have it so good. Well, I think they are talented, but also a product of the scheme much like Goff in some sense.

Again they are good, but not special where they strike fear based on their skillset. Teams are more concerned with or focused more on the scheme.

When they handle the scheme, we don't have the players to overcome that and yes that was Goff as well. So the question is can Stafford overcome that when things get figured out by the opponent on game day? And better yet can he do it without thst special player that provides a mismatch.

Aaaand we are back to the Stafford/Goff trade..................

They thought they had a QB and obviously were not concerned with cap implications.
What did the Raiders get out of it? Two good players one of which is at a position that is very dependent on Oline and frequently fades in a few years as one of the shortest lived position on the field. Neither of those players look like Hall of Famers, maybe not even All-Pros. All that cap space added up to overpaid and underperforming players.

You take the draft picks, I’ll take the sure thing All Pro for several years. I’ll take Faulk, Ramsey and Mack all day.
Depends, Pats did well over the last 20 yrs dumping their star players and they didn't even draft all that well.

No we're not, we are talking about weapons and what is needed to improve on last yr. This is more about whether we trade Kupp or Woods and get a deep threat.

Don't preoccupied with that trade.

It looks like as well the comp picks for minority HC/GM people are after the players in the 3rd round, wasn't sure where they'd line up.

Rams comp picks ... #s 101 and 104 (Round Three); and #142 (Round Four).

Yeah but they use them for a while. In some cases for a very long time. That could be about recouping picks, but also based on if they sense coming decline or are seeing that maybe a player doesn’t have full buy in.

John brown and Zeitler both released today and more to come for sure. Our options for finding interior OL and a deep threat are becoming more abundant. After restructures we should be able to sign a few guys.

Now hopefully we can announce which third we gave up for Stafford, and hopefully it's one of these ones instead of our own.

I don't know how official this is, but it's all I can find :
