Littleton isn't going anywhere. We tendered him.
I know, but he technically still hadn't signed it from what I understand. I agree with you though, I don't think he's going anywhere, would just love to see it in ink.

I didn't see it with Mack Wilson. Looked unremarkable to me. I also wouldn't make assumptions based on Kiser not starting last year. That's a stretch.
Very unimpressed with Kiser last year, I hope I get proven wrong but assumptions is what fans do, you, me, everybody. None of us get paid by a pro team but I will say the obvious, out of all years with our unremarkable LB play Kiser showed little to nothing last year.

It's not that he didn't start. It's that even though he was a game day active for ST, he couldn't even sniff playing the occasional snap as a backup. Supposedly he has issues in pass coverage, apparently severe ones. Hopefully he has improved with a year's practice. They did pick up Matthews who will take snaps at ILB, and Rapp, who will at least take away snaps thanks to safety sets - and could even become a Barron type LB.

Kiser absolutely was active on game days and did get ST play. And assuming he didn't play wasn't part of Wades plan? Lets let Wade tell us what he thinks of Micah, which he has and said they plan on him at ILB this year.

So one more pick and it's the next to last one in the draft? Guess that's time to get a few things done around here.

I said he was active on game days and played special teams. And Wade made a comment about him playing this year, depending on any moves - and then the Rams signed Matthews who will likely play much of the time at ILB, and then their first pick was a hard tackling safety who will allow more special safety sets - and who is possibly a Barron type safety who can play LB too.

Barron will play some this year - but his snaps are looking more and more like he'll be getting back up time, regardless of what his official role is.

Kiser had better college tape than Mack Wilson imo.

Rapp isn't going to become a LB. With the way the NFL is going, it makes perfect sense to have a guy like him for the big nickel. Kiser has major limitations in man coverage, but he can handle himself in zone.

Ok, I'm pretty happy overall with the actual players we've selected overall. I just can't help but feeling that we are still short at ILB and either DE or NT (whichever Brockers doesn't play).

I'm confident the answer for either of those spots doesn't come at this point in the draft ... So where do we add to those spots? Are there still free agents we might want? Bring back Hager?

Either they've added what they want, or will with the last two picks, or they add UDFA. Or they're confident with what they have there regardless of fans desires. Trust in Snead and McVay and especially Wade.
I think they can get away with depth at ILB with a pick in the seventh (Matthews, Littleton, Kiser plus newbie). But if our front three DL are Donald, Brockers and a rotation of guys led by Franklin-Myers (including Gaines, Joseph-Day, Smart and Fox), I just feel that leaves us pretty weak there. And I don't see anyone left that will make that impact.

I will trust in them; I would just like to know where they see it coming from.

Would still love them to go get Coney at ILB.

Or they'd love to add more - but just don't have the picks unless they trade future ones. They won't force picks though - no point in drafting a position they'd like if the guy just won't make the team.

I really hope they were right about Henderson, and that he adds an important aspect to the offense. That trade up likely cost the Rams multiple significant players. Besides the two picks it directly cost, the Rams wouldn't have needed to trade up for Evans. They could have taken Evans and a RB, still had the pick at 101 and their 4th, which would mean they wouldn't have had to trade up for Gaines.

Basically, if Henderson works out and is an impact player, then it's more than fine. But a lot of depth for 2019, and probably a starter or two in 2020, were the cost of the trade.

After the comp pick deadline, I expect a couple of league minimum vets to be signed - so long as they don't get a signing bonus of over $50k, they will only count against the cap as if they were getting 2nd year minimum, iirc.

Yet multiple times we've traded picks to move up either giving up 2 lower round picks for a higher or added these later picks. I don't pretend to know the minds of McVay and Snead but you gotta think if they had to have somebody or a position they wouldn't trade away picks that might have been used for that position.
