To be fair, half the teams in the league lose every week.
True, but last year’s playoff qualifiers went 5-9, times including a 1-3 start for last year’s final four. That, I’d surmise, is fairly unusual.

There were definitely some games I would have lost yesterday, if I was a betting man.

Upsets seemed to be the theme of the week

No matter what happens tonight the Niners are FIRMLY in last place because they lost to an NFC team (arguably the worst one too hahahahahaha) while the rest of the division played AFC teams

Good point I hadn’t heard before. (y)

I concur here, I was not overly impressed. Again, I wish the Rams could've kept Von Miller or that Miller made his decision quicker, that would have enabled the Rams to pivot to somebody else like Chandler Jones for example.
Jones, who received a 3 year, $52M contract ($32M guaranteed), had 2 tackles, 0 sacks, 0 QB hits this week.

Wagner, who received a 5 year, $50M contract ($20M guaranteed), had 7 tackles, 1 sack, 1 QB hit.

And, yes… I know they play different positions, but Wagner was cheaper and, in his debut, was more productive.

Seems like yours was a “grass is greener…”-type lament.

I only wish we had traded for Mack like the Fizzlers did. 3 sacks yesterday alone.

It's tough. The Rams' Draft Capital was limited.

The Chargers gave Chicago the 48th overall pick. The Rams' top pick was #103.

Maybe let’s see how it plays out.

2021 NFL playoff teams went 5-9 week 1 2022. NFC went 2-5 and AFC went 3-4. Puts week 1 in perspective for me. Now week 2 will provide a different perspective.

Brief "programming note"...

Starting next week, 20RT, which I've been posting on two Rams sites (it actually originated years ago on the old ClanRam site), will now be a ROD exclusive!!!!

So, if you enjoy my stream-of-conscious, off the cuff, post-game ramblings, ROD will be the only place you'll find them!

Thanks for reading!
