Former Rams OC Ernie Zampese dies at age 86

Former Rams OC Ernie Zampese dies at age 86

1661804856792.png

Former Los Angeles Rams offensive coordinator Ernie Zampese has died at the age of 86. Zampese spent seven years with the Rams from 1987-1993, all as their offensive coordinator.

In total, Zampese worked in the NFL for 24 years, including as the offensive coordinator for the Chargers, Cowboys and Patriots. He won Super Bowl XXX with the Cowboys.

While with the Rams, Zampese’s offenses ranked in the top 10 in total yards all seven years, including three seasons with a top-five offense.

He was recognized by the Pro Football Hall of Fame this year, being given an Award of Excellence, which was accepted on his behalf by his son, Ken Zampese, who’s the Washington Commodes QBs coach.

7 Rams players who improved their stock this preseason

[theramswire.usatoday.com] 7 Rams players who improved their stock this preseason

The preseason was a great opportunity for younger, less-proven players to make a name for themselves before final roster cuts are made. For the Rams, several guys improved their stock throughout the three weeks of games, led by wide receiver Lance McCutcheon.

Whether they’re able to make the 53-man roster remains to be seen, but these seven players did everything they could to push for a spot on the team this season.

1
WR Lance McCutcheon
McCutcheon boosted his stock more than anyone in Los Angeles this preseason – maybe more than any player in football. He led the NFL in receiving yards with 259 in three games, 33 more yards than any other player. He scored two touchdowns, caught 15 passes and was a reliable source of offense every time he was on the field.

It’s hard to imagine he didn’t do enough to earn a spot on the 53-man roster, even if it’s only as the eighth wide receiver. The undrafted rookie out of Montana State would give the Rams a big target in the red zone, someone who could develop into an eventual contributor down the road.

2
CB Derion Kendrick
Cobie Durant also had a good showing in the preseason, but Kendrick was a little bit more consistent. He made five tackles, broke up one pass and recovered a fumble, looking comfortable both in coverage and as a tackler in the open field.

Kendrick will probably begin the year as the fifth or sixth cornerback, but he’s in no danger of getting cut after the way he played in the preseason. He looks like a future starter in the NFL if utilized properly in the secondary.

3
S Russ Yeast
Yeast plays with a ton of energy, especially when coming down in run support. He could probably play under a little bit more control to avoid missing tackles, but that’s something easy to teach. The Rams would probably rather him play too aggressively than not aggressively enough.

It’s still not clear whether Yeast will make the team, but he’s done nothing to suggest he shouldn’t make the cut. The Rams could use a safety like him on defense and on special teams.

4
DL Jonah Williams
Williams ended the preseason with six tackles, one sack, a tackle for a loss and a forced fumble, consistently disrupting opposing offenses. He’s squarely on the roster bubble and in danger of not making the team, but it won’t be because of his play in the preseason.

Williams can line up at multiple spots on the defensive line and contribute both as a run defender and pass rusher. The Rams need depth up front after losing Sebastian Joseph-Day, and Williams helps in that department. I like his chances to make the team.

5
OLB Keir Thomas
Thomas was the Rams’ highest-graded defender in the preseason finale, recording one sack and three tackles for a loss in the first half alone. He didn’t flash much before Saturday’s game against the Bengals, but he saved his best for last and showed the Rams he’s deserving of a roster spot.

It could come down to Thomas, Chris Garrett and Benton Whitley for one of the final roster spots, but Keir definitely played the best of the bunch this preseason.

6
QB Bryce Perkins
After playing the entire preseason last year, Perkins played all but one half this preseason. And though he only threw two touchdown passes, he completed 71.4% of his throws, didn’t turn the ball over and rushed for 73 yards with another two touchdowns on the ground.

At the very least, he should be the Rams’ No. 3 quarterback. In a best-case scenario for him, he’ll unseat John Wolford as QB2 – though that’s unlikely to happen. As Sean McVay said after the game, he made a strong case to secure a spot on the 53-man roster, just as he did last year.

7
LB Jake Hummel
Hummel was a relative unknown going into the summer, and all he did was finish with 22 tackles across three games – a team record for the preseason. Though it’ll still be tough for him to make the 53-man roster, Hummel did everything he could to land a spot on the team.

In addition to his 22 tackles on defense, Hummel also had one tackle for a loss and a one stop on special teams. He should be deserving of a practice squad spot if he doesn’t make the regular-season roster.

20 Random Thoughts: 2022 Season Premier

1. And we're back! 20RT will resume its normal weekly schedule today!

2. Hopefully, it will continue into February again!

3. That's a lot of random thoughts...

4. Looking back, it has been a very productive offseason.

5. The Rams extended three key pieces in Matthew Stafford, Cooper Kupp and Aaron Donald. Not having to worry about their contracts is a big deal as the Rams prepare to run it back.

6. Though not as headline-grabbing, the front office made two other key moves in signing Joseph Noteboom and Brian Allen to three year deals. If they can anchor the OL over that span, this is bargain shopping. If not, they're deals won't handcuff us.

7. The signing of Allen Robinson was a huge coup from a timing standpoint. Coming off a down season, A-Rob's price was affordable. Then, the WR market exploded. A-Rob will now get to show what he can do with a top notch QB and an elite WR taking the pressure off of him. I'm excited about his potential.

8. Bobby Wagner was also a huge move, and alleviated the regret in losing Von Miller to the Bills. I actually think Wagner will have a bigger impact on the defense, both due to his play and his leadership, than Miller would have.

9. I'll get more into the Bills match-up next Monday, but I do have one question: is Gabe Davis really an emerging superstar? I've seen a lot of hype surrounding him since his monster playoff game against the Chiefs (201 yards, 4 TDs), but his stats over his first two seasons are rather pedestrian (never broken 600 yards in a season, 56% catch rate). Maybe he's a guy on the cusp, but I wonder.

10. Tutu Atwell has received some positive buzz this offseason. It will be interesting to see if he can have the type of impact the Rams hoped to receive (for more than a few weeks) from Desean Jackson last year.

11. Could the Rams finally secure OBJ after cut-down day? Clearly, McVay wants him and OBJ wants to return. Just comes down to money (and, perhaps, timing with respect to the ability to place him on the recall IR?).

12. I have to admit - I'm surprised that Jimmy Garoppolo is still a 49er. Maybe that changes this week? At this point, I'm hoping he's traded/released, as I don't want the 49ers to have a safety net behind unproven Trey Lance.

13. Speaking of cut-down day (tomorrow), I don't anticipate that any significant vets will be released, unless you count Bobby Evans as "significant."

14. Is Taylor Rapp currently our most tradeable/expendable commodity?

15. I will be happy if Cam Akers, Darryl Henderson and Kyren Williams are practicing at "full" capacity this week. I'm really curious to see how well we are able to run the ball.

16. Speedy recovery to Brian Robinson.

17. Player I predict will have the best year of his career: Leonard Floyd.

18. Player who could become obsolete by end of year: Darryl Henderson.

19. Its been so great having over six months to bask in the glow of a championship.

20. The Rams are the defending champions until some team (1) eliminates them from playoff contention, or (2) eliminates them from the playoffs. I think we have a great chance of that NOT happening this season.

Wes Welker wants disability

EX-WR WES WELKER BLASTS NFL OVER DISABILITY BENEFITS ISSUE

Retired NFL wide receiver Wes Welker took to Twitter on Saturday to blast the NFL over its response to a claim he filed seeking disability benefits.
Welker, now on the coaching staff of the Miami Dolphins, shared a letter he received from the NFL that asked for evidence to prove surgeries he has undergone since retirement were related to on-field injuries.
“@NFL I don’t have the time or patience for this,” Welker wrote. “Been an employee of the NFL for 18 years and still going. This is bush league stuff!.”
The Disability Initial Claims Committee, according to the letter, set aside his application and asked Welker to provide more information, stating his application had a “lack of supportive documentation” regarding his surgeries.
“Specifically, there were no records reflecting that the surgeries were performed as a result of injuries sustained while playing in the NFL,” the letter reads, in part.
Welker was given a deadline of Oct. 10 to update his application.
Welker, 41, was a two-time All Pro and selected to five Pro Bowls, all with the New England Patriots. He sustained a variety of injuries during his career, including to his back and a torn left ACL and MCL, as well as multiple concussions.
He played 12 NFL seasons from 2004-15 with the Miami Dolphins, San Diego Chargers, Denver Broncos, St. Louis Rams and Patriots. In 175 games (102 starts), Welker caught 903 passes for 9,924 yards and 50 touchdowns.

Rams 53 Man Roster 2022 / Official Cut Down Thread

Rams 53-man roster projection: Final edition before Tuesday's deadline

[theramswire.usatoday.com]

Cameron DaSilva

In the next two days, the Los Angeles Rams will need to trim their roster down from 80 players to only 53, setting their initial squad for the 2022 season. Obviously, changes will be made not only in the days that follow final cuts, but also throughout the season, but making the 53-man roster is a huge step for players.

Now that the preseason is wrapped up and training camp is in the rearview mirror, players no longer have opportunities to impress the coaching staff beyond the play they put on film. Saturday’s preseason finale could’ve gone better for a lot of players, but the team likely already had a good idea of who is going to make the team.

Here’s my latest roster projection for the Rams before they start trimming it down. Keeping three quarterbacks, eight receivers and only two tight ends seems like the play, even as different as that is for Sean McVay and the Rams.

They can easily make it work, too.

Quarterback (3)

Matthew Stafford
John Wolford
Bryce Perkins
I’m going to stick with the Rams keeping three quarterbacks. They seem to value Perkins and he does help as a scout team player when the Rams face quarterbacks like Kyler Murray, Trey Lance and Josh Allen, given their mobility.

If they cut him, there’s not a great chance they’d get him back on the practice squad. Someone else would probably claim him off waivers.

Running back (4)

Cam Akers
Darrell Henderson Jr.
Kyren Williams
Jake Funk
Even with funk fumbling the ball in the red zone on Saturday night, I think the Rams will decide to keep four running backs – especially with how often Akers and Henderson are injured. They simply can’t afford to go thin at this position, and Funk may not be someone who makes it to the practice squad.

Wide receiver (8)

Cooper Kupp
Allen Robinson
Van Jefferson
Ben Skowronek
Tutu Atwell
Brandon Powell
Jacob Harris
Lance McCutcheon
McCutcheon has done nothing but make a strong case for the 53-man roster. It’s going to be really hard for the Rams to cut him, and there’s a near-zero chance he’ll make it through waivers after the preseason he had. He led the NFL in receiving yards through two preseason games and looks the part of an NFL receiver.

Harris should also make the team, especially with the Rams potentially only keeping two tight ends.

Tight end (2)

Tyler Higbee
Brycen Hopkins
I just don’t know if Jared Pinkney or Roger Carter Jr. are worth keeping on the roster if the Rams also have bigger receivers such as Harris and McCutcheon. Two tight ends seems painfully thin, but they should be able to keep either Pinkney or Carter (or both) on the practice squad.

Offensive line (8)

Joe Noteboom
David Edwards
Brian Allen
Coleman Shelton
Rob Havenstein
Tremayne Anchrum Jr.
A.J. Jackson
A.J. Arcuri
Bobby Evans is the most notable name absent from this list. He still has a chance to make the team, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he does, but Arucri seems like the better backup tackle right now, and the Rams have Anchrum who can play either guard spot if needed.

Evans will probably get scooped up by another team, but he just hasn’t impressed very much.

Defensive line (6)

Aaron Donald
Greg Gaines
A’Shawn Robinson
Marquise Copeland
Michael Hoecht
Jonah Williams
I didn’t have Williams in my latest projection, but he’s earned a spot on this team. He just keeps flashing in the preseason, and did so again on Saturday night against the Bengals. Keeping him, Hoecht and Copeland gives the Rams enough depth on the defensive line behind the starters, and Bobby Brown III will be back after six games (suspension).

Inside linebacker (3)

Bobby Wagner
Ernest Jones
Christian Rozeboom
Travin Howard remains on the NFI list, so I have a feeling the Rams could have him start the year on it, causing him to miss four games. If that’s the case, the Rams will have to roll with three linebackers to start – even though Wagner and Jones are going to be the only two that play much at all.

Howard will obviously make the team if he’s deemed healthy.

Outside linebacker (5)

Leonard Floyd
Justin Hollins
Terrell Lewis
Keir Thomas
Chris Garrett
It’s going to be close between Benton Whitley, Thomas, Chris Garrett and Brayden Thomas now that Daniel Hardy has an ankle sprain that will cause him to start the year with an injury designation.

I’m switching things up from Whitley to Thomas after seeing the way Thomas played in the preseason finale. He flashed more than a couple times, including a sack and three tackles for a loss in the first half alone.

Garrett is the wild card in it all, playing his first preseason game on Saturday. The coaching staff might still like him more despite his injury history.

Cornerback (6)

Jalen Ramsey
Troy Hill
David Long Jr.
Robert Rochell
Decobie Durant
Derion Kendrick
No changes here. The Rams’ top six cornerbacks are basically set, and there’s only room for maybe one more if they want to keep a player like Grant Haley. I don’t think that’ll happen, given the depth they already have at cornerback with these six players.

Safety (5)

Jordan Fuller
Nick Scott
Taylor Rapp
Terrell Burgess
Russ Yeast
I still have the Rams keeping five safeties, but instead of Quentin Lake making it, I plugged in Yeast. Lake has yet to be activated from the PUP list and seeing as he hasn’t practiced or played in any preseason games, he’ll probably start the season on PUP.

Enter Yeast, who plays like his hair is on fire and always seems to find the ball.

Specialists (3)

K Matt Gay
P Riley Dixon
LS Matthew Orzech
No changes here. This group is set.

GAME DAY Preseason Week 3 - Rams at Bengals

Bubble watch: 7 Rams players who must stand out in preseason finale vs. Bengals

For some players on the roster bubble, it all comes down to this. The Rams will play their final preseason game of 2022 on Saturday night against the Bengals, giving a large group of players one last chance to prove themselves and earn a spot on the 53-man roster.

Teams will have to trim their rosters down from 80 players to 53 next Tuesday, so time is running out for guys on the roster bubble. The Rams have plenty of players in that position, and while their jobs won’t be decided by one single game, this contest will have a big impact on the final impression left on the coaching staff.

These seven players must stand out on Saturday in Cincinnati.

Bobby Evans

Logan Bruss’ season-ending injury helps Evans’ chances of making the 53-man roster, and maybe he was going to make it anyway. But he’s struggled in the preseason and last week against the Texans, he played every offensive snap – not a great sign for a fourth-year lineman.

Evans is likely to get a lot of playing time again this Saturday in Cincinnati as he makes one last push to secure a spot on the team. He might be competing with rookie A.J. Arcuri for one of the final positions on the 53-man roster.

Jonah Williams

Williams stood out in a big way against the Texans, recording four tackles, a sack, a forced fumble and a tackle for a loss. The Rams have essentially locked in four defensive linemen already (Donald, Gaines, Robinson, Copeland), so there are limited spots available behind them.

Williams is on his way to potentially earning one, but he’ll need another strong performance against the Bengals on Saturday. Defensive line depth is important and the Rams will probably keep five, but that final spot could come down to Michael Hoecht and Williams.

Grant Haley

Haley has done a nice job this preseason, particularly in the opener against the Chargers. He ranked second on the team with eight tackles in that win, finding himself around the ball fairly often. Whether Haley makes the team will come down to the Rams possibly keeping seven cornerbacks because six are already guaranteed to make the team.

Haley and Duron Lowe could be fighting for one spot if the Rams want to go deeper in the secondary and both would be deserving of a roster spot. Haley might have a slight edge based on experience, however.

Benton Whitley

Whitley has come close to sacking the quarterback a few times this preseason but he still doesn’t have one yet. His path to the 53-man roster got a little easier with Daniel Hardy spraining his ankle, but Whitley still has plenty of work to do.

He’ll need to beat out Brayden Thomas and Keir Thomas, and also convince the coaching staff that he deserves a roster spot more than the oft-injured Chris Garrett. Dominating against the Bengals this weekend would go a long way toward his chances of making the team as an undrafted rookie.

Chandler Brewer

Brewer is in a similar position as Evans, only he might have a slight advantage in the race to a roster spot. He can play tackle or guard and has looked good in the preseason, a step above Evans. The Rams’ offensive line room is filled with young talent, however, and Sean McVay has gone out of his way to praise both Tremayne Anchrum Jr. and A.J. Jackson this offseason.

Brewer would be one of the final linemen on the roster if he makes it, and after losing Bruss for the year, he might just find himself on the team come September.

Jake Funk

It doesn’t seem very likely that the Rams will only keep three running backs on the 53-man roster, but you just never know. Cam Akers, Darrell Henderson Jr. and Kyren Williams are locks, which means Funk will have to earn his spot. He hasn’t done much to impress in the preseason so far and while it’s encouraging that he’s been able to stay healthy, he needs to make a big play or two in order to really show he should be RB3 behind the starters.

Earnest Brown IV

Brown didn’t make the 53-man roster as a rookie last year, so he’s under a microscope already. He had a sack in the preseason opener, which was a positive step for the second-year defensive lineman, but it’s not going to be enough to ensure he makes the team – even with Bobby Brown III suspended. Earnest Brown should get plenty of opportunities to rush the passer on Saturday and hopefully he can deliver with a sack – or at least some pressure on the Bengals’ backups quarterbacks.Brown didn’t make the 53-man roster as a rookie last year, so he’s under a microscope already. 50 Years Today

Today marks my 50th anniversary of being a Rams fan. 8/27/72 I watched a pre-season game with the Rams visiting the Chiefs. My name is Jack Ellis and I grew up in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina ( still live here, actually.) My dad was a Redskins fan and no one else in my family watched football. I needed a favorite team. I was ten years old and didn't know much about the NFL. Anyways, that night I learned that the Ram's quarterback (Roman Gabriel) was from North Carolina. Connection. Their primary receiver was Jack Snow. Connection. Their primary running back was Willie Ellison. Connection. Oh, and the curly horns were cool! So, I became a Rams fan that night and I've never looked back. It's been a fun ride!

Between the Horns (Aug 27th)

Great Between the Horns segment from D'Marco, MJD, JB Long.

Take aways;

- Tutu is a great "7 on 7, flag football guy." / Use is limited given he can't block anyone.
- Our LT will need help from the scheme against good pass rushers. Found his criptonite in Hendricks.
- Durant had a welcome to the NFL moment when he got beat by Chase.

+ Rookie running back is looking good.
+ Passing game is unstoppable.
+ Plethora of talent at DB/ cuts will be tough

What are you watching for in the final pre-season game ...

I'm guessing we won't see much of Wolford because of that ripped off nail on his throwing hand.
We should get to see plenty of Kyren Williams, Trey Ragas and Jake Funk at RB. I suspect it will be mostly McCutcheon, Trammell, Landen Akers, Allen Robinson & Harris again as we wind things up at WR.
Other than Roger Carter & Pinkney at TE, not sure who else might show up.
I'd imagine the OL gets Brewer, Anchrum, Arcuri, J. Jackson, Snyder, Kolone & Evans plenty of work, and while I'd hope to see something of Max Pircher, I will not hold my breath.
On the other side it should be the Hoecht, Bobby Brown, Jonah Williams, Elijah Garcia, TJ Carter & Earnest Brown show for the DL.
At ILB Jake Gervase is still competing along with Hines, Hummell & Rozeboom.
Outside, with Hardy down I expect to see more of the Thomas boys, Whitley, and Garrett.
The DB's most likely to be seen are Durant, Kendrick, Haley, Tyler Hall, Dan Isom & Russ Yeast.

27 of our current players will be hitting the waiver wire as cuts to get down to 53, so these guys are very much fighting for an NFL job somewhere, ... it will be interesting to see who makes it back to our Practice Squad. jmo.

Florio and... (Who are the biggest collie molesters?)

As many of you know, rather than going into detail in response to some asinine statement made by talking heads, I often just rely on the old Ty Webb standby "________ molests collies."

Right now the reigning champion collie molester is Mike Florio. Not only his is an attention whore who does less fact-checking than an intern working for Alex Jones, but he seems to have a particular desire to slant things against our Rams.

Who else is a top member of this list? Skip Bayless? Chris Simms?

Who else should we just ignore?

Andrew Whitworth denies interest in the Cowboys, and they'd have to acquire him from the Rams anyway

Andrew Whitworth denies interest in the Cowboys, and they'd have to acquire him from the Rams anyway

1661531529101.png

Andrew Whitworth hasn’t even been retired for six full months, yet there are already talks about his potential return to the field. Only, the talks aren’t about him coming out of retirement to rejoin the Los Angeles Rams. It’s the Dallas Cowboys who are at the center of it all.

After learning that left tackle Tyron Smith tore his hamstring and is expected to miss 3-4 months, one of the first names that came up was Whitworth’s. It would seem to be a natural fit, seeing as Whitworth has stayed in shape and never really ruled out a return to football after retiring in March.

It began with some Twitter banter between Whitworth and Texas-based offensive line trainer Duke Manyweather. Then on Amazon’s preseason broadcast Thursday, Whitworth was asked about answering calls and texts about joining the Cowboys.

Except, Whitworth didn’t say who those calls and texts were from.

Later on Twitter, Whitworth clarified in multiple tweets that he hasn’t heard from anyone in the Cowboys’ building. It was friends, fans and reporters who he was answering calls and texts from.

That’s an important clarification.

Because Whitworth retired with one year left on his contract, the Rams still retain his rights. Therefore, any other team talking to Whitworth would be considered tampering. Any team interested in Whitworth would need to go through the Rams first, requesting permission to have those discussions.

And it’s not as if the Cowboys could simply sign Whitworth to whatever contract they want. The Rams would need to trade Whitworth – or release him from the reserve/retired list – in order for him to join the Cowboys.

This is the same situation that played out with Rob Gronkowski in 2020 when he came out of retirement. The Patriots traded him to the Buccaneers for a fourth-round pick; the Bucs couldn’t just sign him as a free agent.

While the Cowboys should be interested in Whitworth, and it could benefit the Rams if they’re willing to trade a draft pick or player, it doesn’t sound like the former All-Pro is interested in playing for Dallas.

He tweeted Friday morning that he said no when asked if the Cowboys reached out and if he was interested.

Whitworth might just be playing it coy right now, but the Cowboys would be a great situation for him if he does decide to come out of retirement. It would hurt for Rams fans to see him playing somewhere other than Los Angeles, but no one would be mad about seeing No. 77 back on the field in 2022.

It's hard to keep momentum going in the NFL...

Look back at past NFL dynasties and almost always, you will find a wonderful combination of strong ownership, a great GM that works well with a good coach. We are enjoying exactly that formula right now. More often than not, something gets in the way that ultimately causes a collapse....sometimes money, all too often "credit" with feelings being hurt (i.e. ego), etc. We are SO blessed right now to have Stan, Tony, Kevin, Les, and Sean in concert. Let's not lose it!

I don't pretend to know why Les hasn't been signed yet, but I can only suspect it's about his financial worth to the club. If it weren't, I suspect his next contract would have been signed by now and announced at the same time Sean's deal was. PLEASE, Stan, get this done! Les Snead is extremely unique. He works in concert with Sean and has a great relationship with Kevin. Equally important, he is tremendous at his job. I can't recall, in my 30 years of following the Rams and NFL, an individual that has had the ability and foresight to redesign how front offices should operate. The guy is literally a step ahead...always playing chess while others play checkers. We HAVE to sign the man to assure our next 5+ years results in a consistent winner. Trades, late round and UFDA pickups, culture building....all of it. The guy is a gem.

Of all of the consternation regarding the upcoming season, my biggest is that we get this guy signed to a deal that corresponds with Sean's. As a Ram fan, I have suffered through SO many years of frustration as a result of the collective upper-management unit not being competent that my primary wish is for us to continue with a strong core. Sign the man, Stan!

Sean McVay hired Jay Gruden as a consultant for the Rams

Sean McVay isn’t done building out his staff, even with the season rapidly approaching. After practice on Thursday, McVay told reporters that he hired former Washington coach Jay Gruden as a consultant for the Rams.
Gruden was out in Cincinnati for the two days of joint practices, but McVay said he’ll be working remotely. McVay and Gruden have a long-standing relationship that dates back to their time together in Tampa Bay.

McVay and Gruden were both on Jon Gruden’s staff with the Buccaneers in 2008, each working as offensive assistants. From 2014-2016, McVay worked on Jay Gruden’s staff when Gruden was the head coach. McVay was the tight ends coach from 2011-2013, but Gruden kept him on in 2014 as his offensive coordinator.
Gruden was last with the Jaguars as their offensive coordinator in 2020, but he was let go along with Doug Marrone after the season ended.

Rams 2020 Draft class

Going into camp, I wasn't as high on the '20 class as I am now. A reminder that patience is a good thing.

There's a ton of potential production here.

There could be as many as six starters and key backups from the Rams’ 2020 class alone this season.
  • Cam Akers: Starting RB
  • Van Jefferson: No. 3 WR
  • Terrell Lewis: No. 2/3 edge rusher
  • Brycen Hopkins: No. 2 tight end
  • Jordan Fuller: Starting safety
  • Tremayne Anchrum: Backup G/T
