Jon Gruden changes tone on Goff

I don't think he's dumb. I just think he was being overly generic in his analysis.
If you don't know something, then don't talk about it. Or learn something about the thing of which you're speaking.

I know what you're saying, it's just that I tire of some folks taking shots at obviously successful coaches like those two.....this criticism is not directed towards you specifically. Personally, I think this team would be better off with a Jon Gruden at this point, but that's just my opinion. This team needs mental toughness and he's just the type of coach to give it to them.

Rodney McLeod

Letting McLeod go was a very smart move imo. Hes a solid player, but hes the literal definition of a safety in that he was basically good for being our safety valve and thats it. He didnt really let anyone over the top, rarely missed tackles, and could even come down and cover in the slot. As good as that is to make that kind of money he needs to offer more. The flexibility to cover the slot is probably his most attractive attribute but thats what CBs are for. He needs to be a better ballhawker at that price range, and I dont think thats ever going to happen. Mo may never be that type of guy either, but hes cheaper and his ability to play in the box to make the defense better because it allows them to interchange Mo and TJ to keep offenses guessing.

Rams RB Todd Gurley sees '12 people on the field'

They could stand to get more creative with him then...

Screens
Move the line
Pitch it
Go heavy....I mean HEAVY.
Dual backs
Tavon and Gurley back there

I don't know man, I'm not an OC but I'd like to think between Gurley and Tavon, one of them should be wreaking havoc on a weekly basis.

I'd have to really look at the breakdown but it sure feels like a good portion of his runs are within the tackles.

I saw one screen i think in two games.

Hard to say after a couple games. On one hand, the big bodies up front have to do their job. On the other hand, 5 or 6 guys blocking 8 ain't exactly in our favor.

I like his odds better in Arizona than in Tampa unless our line really shows up.

For the people who went to the game, question?

I didn't notice it at halftime actually, was socializing with my neighbors and friends. Now the 2nd quarter, I was stuck in the beer/water line and a head trip. Our concessions had water, and I saw people refilling bottles with the fountains (which I would have done if I didn't need to wait in line for a beer) Damnit!! why don't they have beer fountains!!!! This is BS!!! :burp:

2000 Rams/Bucs

I remember that game ... very exciting, but very frustrating in the end. Our defense was as bad as our offense was good. Nobody moved up and down the field on the Bucs in those days ... but we did. And the Bucs didn't move up and down the field on anybody with that offense ... but they did on our defense that night.
