Panthers look pretty good

I actually like the panthers to be honest. Cam newton is a straight boss and their linebacker group are the best in the league. Always fun watching them play

Without Norman their secondary is a bit of a problem though, Britt might have a nice day if we can get some sort of run game going to open things up a bit
Honestly though, I expect the rams to put up another L.

Jaguars fire ex-Rams OC Greg Olson

And you could have the same debate about Spagnuolo who was let go in New Orleans, but that was more scheme and Payton wanting his own guy once he was back, but as bad as Spagnuolo was a Head Coach, IMO, he's a very good DC and IMO, Bradley would be as well, however, the way things are going, we will soon find out.

I get that feeling about a coach as well, Mike Smith for example, I had a feeling he would fail in Tampa and so far he has.

I disagree. Spagnuolo isn't a good DC. He hasn't done a good job with any team since he's left the Rams.

Marty Schottenheimer battling Alzheimer's

"It is amazing," said Ernest Byner, who played for Schottenheimer on those Browns teams and organized the 30th reunion. "But it goes to show you that you can't get rid of good coaches. If you've got a good coach, then you should try your best to keep the coach. You can bring in as many talented guys as you want, but if you don't have a guy that can mold the team and lead the team in such a way like Marty, then you're itching for failure. I'm telling you, if it wasn't for Marty, that [1986] team would not have been what it was."
Words to heed....

About Rams On Demand

Rams On Demand (ROD) was created as a go-to place for Rams news and discussion with a focus on our love for the team. A refuge from the negativity that can overwhelm other sites, our rules are enforced to maintain a respectful atmosphere for our members. We realize this is an unconventional model for message board discussion, but it is also what makes us unique. Our members are here for fun and we take that very seriously.

We do not allow personal attacks toward another member. Name calling or other attempts to make things personal, is not allowed.

Using insults to describe the team, its players, its coaches, and/or its hierarchy is not permitted here. This rule is in place to maintain the integrity and appearance of Rams On Demand but also to encourage thoughtful debate. We often have members of the team (both past and present) as well as top officials of the organization here to participate and to answer your questions. Accordingly, it is our goal (and mandate) to represent the organization with respect and class.

While Rams On Demand is a public web site, our membership is private under the rules of our terms and conditions. This is a polite way of saying our members make us great, but ROD is not a place for everyone and it is not a right to be here. Further, your first amendment rights are not applicable to privately owned domains.

By participating you agree to abide by our terms and conditions;

Vent Thread

The vent thread is a single thread (typically started by a moderator) posted after a game day loss. The purpose of this thread is to contain post game frustration to a single thread and prevents the whole front page of the forums from being cluttered with post game reaction. Please use this thread rather than posting additional threads that are actually venting in nature.

The vent thread is moderated, but a looser approach is applied as we deal with the pain of a loss. However, being upset is not a free pass to engage in name calling or inappropriate comments about members or the team.

This thread is locked after 24hrs. We need to move on and start focusing on our next game.

GDT (Game Day Thread)

A single game day thread is started for each Ram's game (and other games) and used by members to discuss the game(s) underway. The expected etiquette is to use this thread for all in-game discussion.

Please note: This is not a vent thread and excessive negativity may earn you a time out if you are destroying the atmosphere for others.

ROD Credit $ Systems

ROD credit systems are for fun purposes only!

Think of credits as a SEASON LONG BOARD GAME!

We have 2 currencies at RamsOnDemand:
  1. PARTICIPATION POINTS (ROD CREDIT)
  2. SPORTSBOOK CASH

PARTICIPATION POINTS (ROD CREDIT)

Participation “points” will be used to crown “Poster of the Year”. Or some title like that.

This system is strictly points that accumulate based on your participation level. The more you participate, the more you earn for these bragging rights.

They cannot be spent or used. They just accumulate.

Here is the point structure for 2020:

Registration; $1000
Update your status: $75 (also “What You Doing?” widget)
Start a thread: $75
Vote in poll: $20
Post anywhere: $20
Replies to your thread: $5
View thread: $2
Thread deleted: -$75

These points will tally here:

SPORTSBOOK CASH

SPORTSBOOK CASH is used to crown our “SportsBook Champ”. SportsBook cash is used exclusively for wagers in ROD SportsBook.

SportsBook Bookies are responsible to oversee the fairness of wagers and may be required to amend set wagers as part of oversight. Bookies are volunteers, simply it’s possible in the coordination between them corrections are required. It’s a game, these are our game managers.

With this system, we will issue a weekly paycheck to all members. You don’t have to do anything… if you are not a gambler. It will just accumulate.

The paycheck is $TBD set, but will be same for all. Weekly.

The goal here is to wager your paycheck to win the most SportsBook cash, site-wide.

The balances for SportsBook Cash are seen here:

*** BOTH cash systems are RESET each year at the first day of the new league year. This starts everything fresh for the new season.

Post Rating "Buttons"

"Post Rating" buttons can be found at the bottom of every post. Post ratings serve as a way to give feedback to members about a certain post and members develop a "reputation" by accumulating positive and/or negative ratings.

While we add and remove buttons all the time, most are set up as neutral ratings (do nothing) except;
  1. Like button is a positive rating and counts in the member's like total and counts positively toward a member's "reputation" as seen in the member profile.
  2. HaHa, Cheers, High Five, and Thread Winner are also positive ratings but and count positively toward a member's "reputation" as seen in the member profile.
  3. Ouch, Not So Sure are neutral ratings.
  4. Chill and Inappropriate are negative ratings. 3 inappropriate ratings in a post will hide the post from public view. Members are encouraged to select inappropriate as a means of providing feedback to another member that they may have crossed the rules. As a negative rating, this will show in the members "reputation" as seen in the member profile.

** IF YOU FEEL YOU’VE RECEIVED AN UNFAIR RATING, PLEASE CONTACT MODERATION

Warning System

A warning system is in place and moderators may issue warning points when rules are being violated.
  • 3 points = 24hr temporary ban
  • 5 points = 7 day temporary ban
At times, a moderator may issue just a single point or two to let the member know he/she is crossing the line and may receive a temporary ban if the conduct continues.

Points expire over time.

Administration has the authority to issue permanent bans based on egregious behavior.

Site Software

Administrators of RamsOnDemand, in conjunction with feedback from members, have integrated several software packages to enhance the member experience. Chat, Survivor, Pickem, SportsBook, Betting Exchange, and Events Calendar to name a few.

These can be accessed from the top menu of the web site. See photo.
