Tre Mason would of helped this year

Most fan bases try to forget about and move beyond bad picks. Rams fans seem to revel in them I just don't get it.
He was a 3rd round pick that had a really good rookie year.
Help what? Taking opioids amount of meds?

Fans.....
Don't think anyone knew he was going to lose his mind this year, I don't know how you guys wouldn't see him contributing, our offense could use his speed, but just another disappointment to add to this season. Hope the guys is alright and turns his life around.

Todd Gurley and the run game

BREAKING GROUND

Next Thursday, the Rams will hold the ground-breaking ceremony for their new Inglewood stadium, the $2.6 billion venue that will host their home games starting in 2019.
This reminded me. Question!? Jim Thomas like to refer to the Rams as the former, Cleveland Rams - L.A. Rams - Anaheim Rams - St. Louis Rams - L.A. Rams. After the New Stadium opens, Will JT insist on calling the Rams, "The Inglewood Rams!?!:D:rolllaugh:

What to do with Kirk Cousins?

Cousins will get paid one way or another. At this point 20 million will be top 15 Qbs money very soon. Skins got to keep up with the division which now has two young up and coming QBs along with Eli. I haven't watched Cousins much this year but he and the Skins are playing better.

Tim Barnes Press Conference

I was one who took exception to your critique because you picked a game in which he received a game ball for his efforts and frankly, your conclusion was, in this case, inaccurate. Sorry, but that's a fact and I'll take the coaches evaluation. I'm not trying to bust your chops as I think you're one of the more knowledgeable posters on the board, just saying perception and reality are sometimes different.

One thing in general for you and anyone else making armchair evaluations is that often what you see and think the problem is, may in fact be the exact opposite, especially when it comes to play on the line. When you see a player appear to completely whiff, more than likely there was a blown assignment or mitigating factor that impacted the play. That's one of the reasons players dislike and coaches ignore PFF ratings, they are making evaluations without knowing all the facts. Unless you're a coach, in the huddle, at the line, know the blocking assignment, the protections, pickups, routes to be run, etc. there is no way to make an accurate assessment from watching a game on tv.

There are definitely issues with the offense and it's not just the OL & QB. I wish I could go into further depth, but there are a few players who are not the problem and Barnes is one of them.

I have much respect for your opinion as well Woof but on the Barnes topic we will always disagree. Bookend him with two very good guards and he looks decent. Sandwich him between two bad guards and his weaknesses really show up. Something has to give between Saffold, Barnes, and Brown/Wichman. Either they have to all improve or at least two will have to be replaced. If Pocic or Elflein are value picks when the Rams select then I take one. This line is full of subpar play. Time to get some top line (excuse the pun) talent on this team. I guarantee Barnes wouldn't be missed.

Sidenote: I really wanted the Rams to acquire Mack. He has done wonders for that Atlanta Oline. I wont some superlatives not mediocrity......or less.

When will Rams get more out of Higbee, Cooper?

I'm not necessarily advocating more padded practices, in fact, I'd be opposed to it. I just feel that the transition from the college game with it's preponderance of spread offenses to the massive playbook of the NFL is a huge challenge that few can quickly meet.
Not sure if more padded practices are needed but maybe so as I think the agreement swung too far the other direction. I do, however, feel that this BS about no contact with the coaches is killing young players' progress. There is no rational reason that players can't study film, discuss technique, etc. with their coaches during the off season. I can see giving them an amount of time equivalent to long vacations but what they have done IMO is pathetic and it has really hurt the game.

Pro Football Focus on Keenum

David Carr was thrown to the wolves his first year in Houston with a mediocre to bad offensive line. He got pounded every game and never recovered from the experience.
Actually, Carr's 2nd year he was sacked only 15 times in the season...his 3rd, 4th, and 5th years were statistically his best. Also some of his highest sack totals too (49, 68, & 41). His highest sacked year was his first, 76. Was he ruined??? Only Carr can tell you that, I just think he wasn't that good. Look around, just because you're sacked and play early doesn't mean you'll bust out...

I still wonder, if Goff could be ruined, what the hell did we do to Keenum? Who "ruined" him?
