This does seem like a really good time to start Goff

Be prepared to watch a ton of running plays in this game. Dolphins have given up a ton of rushing yards and I think this is a main reason why we picked this game. We are going to run run run, and then run some more.
Hopefully we are successful on the ground( for the first time all year), and it opens up the passing game for our rook. If we throw more than we run Sunday, I think we could have some problems. Also taking an early lead will be critical, get behind and bad things might follow.

We won't beat Miami with our running game. They have a guy that goes for a buck fifty a game. We have?

Goff must be Goff for us to win.

It's Goff time!!

NFL Gamepass in the UK blacks out games shown on Sky (which, obviously, includes most if not all of the playoff games despite the fact that Gamepass charges you a higher subscription to have playoff games included - figure that out?!!).

Luckily, I have tunnelbear VPN tell my phone its outside the UK thereby bypassing the blackout.
luckily i have sky sports so the blackout doesnt affect me

Robert Quinn hospitalized

Can we all agree on these two points?

(a) Robert Quinn does not want to retire because he's passionate about playing football
(b) Robert Quinn might have to retire so he doesn't have a seizure on the field and scramble his brains

Let's let the doctors give the appropriate advice to him based on their findings and medical expertise and allow him to make up his own mind.

Hey, RQ...if you're reading this, we love you and think highly of you no matter what you decide. (y)

More changes I would make

i'm no expert but has boras or someone changed blocking schemes.seems like grob and scaffold are cut blocking way more then they use to. also on a lot of runs grob doesn't block the d end instead go after a lb which he has a very poor angle on. maybe the scheme is that the d end can't get there in time but I see him on a lot of tackles

I see the same thing ... just does not look like this plays to their strengths as players.

Union Workers

UAW here, started in 2008. Pay and benefits are excellent. Relationship between company and Union workers is decent, but could be better. Seniority means everything here, especially when bidding on other jobs and available OT. We have a 2 tier system in place. Union Dues monthly. In my area, comparable jobs pay $5-$10 less per hour. I'm not a "Union" guy per say, but understand the Pros and Cons. I come to do a job and get compensated accordingly. Oh, we have several "replacement workers" that got re-hired from a 2010 strike. There is still some resentment from pre-2010 workers towards them. I just try to get along with everybody and it works fine. It's just more complex becuse of company and Union politics.

If you're being offered a 1st shift position and the compensation package is superior, contract time isn't right around the corner, I say you should take it. What do you have to lose?

Getting Pumped Up for Sunday!

I do live 3k miles away, so I cant make them all:) I was at his best game so far, however which was the first preseason game. If I knew he was going this week a couple of weeks ago, I may have changed some plans around. The cost could support a Kennum game. I didnt even drive the 90 miles last week. Proved to be a wise decision.

I'll be at the game!!! You all should be there too to support Goff!

Keep an eye on Michael Floyd in FA

Fair point but its hard to find a rookie CB to jump in and start right away. Even harder when you dont have a first rounder. I suppose you could always franchise him again and hope you develop his replacement during that time. As for the injuries he has played in 88% of a possible 71 games, so I hesitate to call him injury prone......of course lets see how this year plays out.
Also I don't he's worth getting tagged again. We need a top cb... Hopefully there's a good one in second rd... We need a cb a lineman help bad

Conservative game plan by Jets fails against Rams
By Richard Rodgers/FanSided via The Jet Press/Nov 16, 2016

The New York Jets went into their Week 10 matchup against the Los Angeles Rams with a very conservative game plan. The result of this was far from good as New York lost in what was a completely dismal performance.

For a good portion of the 2016-2017 NFL season to this point, the coaching staff of the New York Jets has been criticized for being way too conservative in games. There have been many in-game situations where the Jets have decided to play it safe instead of taking a shot to try and win the game.

Nothing changed at home against the Rams in week ten as the team continued to play with this conservative approach. Quarterback Bryce Petty was given very few opportunities to really take shots with the football. The team stuck with a game plan consisting of a large amount of rushes, and some short and simple passing plays.

At this point in the season, being conservative just doesn’t make much sense for the Jets because they have almost nothing to lose. Coming into the game at 3-6, it wouldn’t have hurt to have given the offense a chance to make more explosive plays down the field.

While easing Petty into the game wasn’t a bad idea in any way, limiting him throughout the game to such an extent just didn’t make sense. In such a low-pressure situation, the Jets needed to get more of a feel for what they have in their second-year quarterback.

Not only did their game plan keep them from getting a good evaluation on Petty, but it also hurt the offense as a whole. With simple draw plays, handoffs, and short underneath passes being the majority of the offense, they became very predictable as a whole. This allowed the Rams’ defense to have a great day with ease.

This conservative style of play on offense has been something that the Jets have stuck with since the early parts of this season. You have to wonder whether this approach has hurt them as much as any shortcomings from the players have.

Limiting Petty didn’t accomplish anything against the Rams just as being conservative has not accomplished anything for the Jets all season. Going forward, they must take a different approach on offense in order to open things up and get a better evaluation of their quarterbacks.

What's up with Les?

The Goff trade will make or break him .

Not sure about that, obliviously if Goff plays well everybody wins, however, if that does not happen then we will finally get the truth on the trade and who was truly behind it. But I have no fear, IMO, Goff is going to play well in turn Snead and Fisher will be back next season, however, IMO, there will be a high profile offensive mind added along with a change at QB and OL Coach IMHO.

Ganja Thread

I always stick with bro. I feel I'm to old for the other ways.

Did a little search for ya:

CBD has the same chemical formula as THC, but the atoms are arranged differently. This slight variance causes THC to create a psychoactive effect while CBD lacks such an influence.

CBD accounts for up to 40 percent of cannabis extract (3). Its plentiful nature, coupled with its failure to produce a “high” effect, make it a strong candidate for medical applications.

The effects of CBD include (3):

* Reduction of psychotic symptoms
* Relief from convulsions and nausea
* Decreased anxiety
* Decreased inflammation
* Schizophrenia – Reduce psychotic symptoms
* Social anxiety disorder – Lower anxiety
* Depression – Reduce depressive symptoms
* Side effects of cancer treatment – Decrease pain and nausea while stimulating appetite

CBD lacks the harmful cognitive effects of THC. In fact, CBD counteracts the psychoactive effects of THC, both in plant form and when administered from extract (4). Cannabis plants containing small amounts of CBD and high levels of THC result in a stronger “stoned” feeling, while plants with more CBD and less THC create a weaker “buzz.” Given the increasing popularity of medical marijuana, breeders are currently creating strains with higher CBD to THC ratios to minimize the psychoactive side effects.

Overall, the lower health risks of CBD, combined with its efficacy, make it a better candidate for medical applications than THC.

A new HC will want draft capital

But cant you thank the Rams for that? Basic human nature to want to be better, look forward to better times. It would be nice to go on a 7 game win streak, new rookie qb shocks the world, etc. But so far the Rams are 2.3 yds and a cloud of dust followed by rabid cheering for a punter. Not very exciting at all.

Having said that...yeah, a bit early for that talk imo

Yeah I hear ya, but as many said, it can't get any worse and the Defense is quite enjoyable to watch and so is our special teams. Also having a new QB start this weekend just brings more excitement to the building.

IF you could build a team from the ground up...

You need a team to succeed. You still have to make the right reads and be accurate with the throw. Wentz can't throw more than 15 yards. I'm just tired of people acting like Dak ain't crap without our o-line. Dude is still good.
Dallas has had the best o-line for several years now and yet this is the best offense they've had. Dak makes the difference. No offense to Romo but with Demarco Murray and this oline, he only won more than 8 games 1 time in the last 5-6 seasons. I'm feeling deja vu in talking about Dak, its eerily similar to discussions about Russell Wilson as a rook....
