I'm starting to think the Rams won't have a lot of money for free agency if Tru is not signed to a long term deal first. WR and OL seem likely in free agency. The defense is in much better shape than the offense.

I absolutely love this kid. I think he is going to be like Jarvis Landry as I wrote "the guy who got away". I watched his tape and I also watched the combine religiously yesterday and I got to say he looked great yesterday. The vertical wasn't where I felt it was going to be but in the off field workouts I was floored. He has done a great job and he seems like a hell of a guy just wanting to support his family. Otherwise he would have stayed another year and dominated with Calvin Ridley at Bama.

Thank you I appreciate that. Yeah I like him, we will see if he gets drafted or not. Good thing is he is getting some exposure and another thing is Bowie State has put players in the league before it's nothing new. He has a chance.

The second issue is who is corrupted. A ref? Ok, that is plausible. How about come would be influenced would be a hold call at a key moment or the infamous PI flag that comes in 2 seconds after the play is over.
Something as obvious as a turnover? Doubtful.
The holding call is the one that makes sense.
The only real way to corrupt it is with one person.
Do leagues try to "stear" things? Probably.
Look at Seattle being able to PI (just straight knock in receivers down) late in games or certain offenses getting away with pic plays in the passing game.
The other team could still win, they just need to overcome that extra bit.
The likelihood of games just being straight fixed is low.

That was my take on this. Just a horrendously blown call, potentially, without hearing why they ruled as they did.

But, I agree; this isn't an example of "fixing".

Remember seeing Coach Boo playing a big part at GRob's Pro Day, and reading that he had lobbied hard for that No2 pick to be spent on GRob. Maybe a bit more of the Kromer approach and we might have picked a quicker learner.

It would be great to sign Jeffery but I don't think it's reasonable money wise and I'd be very shocked if the Rams actually got a guy like Jeffery. However, we need a Jeffery on this team and dump quick and Britt. Maybe draft a guy mid rounds.

I'm sick of the bs receivers we have for years and years. We have to get a true #1 WR so it opens the passing game up, allows Gurley to run the ball and the play calling won't be so predictable. Also, this allows Austin and Cooper to actually be threats. I think we have the coach for it, now we need a top WR. It's not rocket science lol

Jamaal Williams from BYU kinda reminds me of Bell. (Just in running style and build, not receiving ability). Really like this guy. Smith looks decent too.

I don't know, never heard that. I've heard the body does better when alkaline promoting (blood alkalinity) foods are consumed, hence Alkaline Diet, etc.

I posted stuff awhile ago about drop rates and WRs.
There are gobs of guys in that 6-8% range.
Austin has been the Rans WR with the worst hands since he came into the league. Maybe that is how he is used sometimes, maybe he has small hands.

Of course. But on the other hand, you don't need a chip to track the ball. Look at tennis, they've had the Cyclops/Hawk-eye for years to dispute whether balls are in or out. Not sure what the technology is or how it could be applied, just that they've had it.
Balls and strike trackers are available in MLB on tv broadcast, though they aren't used for calls, they could be.
Bottom line, if desired, technology could easily replace the "eye balling" that goes on now

Former 49ers coach Chip Kelly nearly replaced current 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan in Atlanta. Kelly may instead replace current 49ers G.M. John Lynch at FOX.

Charles Robinson of Yahoo! Sports reports that Kelly has auditioned for a job with FOX, as a game analyst. With Lynch, the No. 2 analyst at FOX, leaving broadcasting, a vacancy has been created on the depth chart. Kelly, in theory, could fill it.

The irony of the news flows from the fact that Kelly has had a fairly open disdain for the media, and that several months ago he joked about joining the ranks of those who cover the sport if/when he leaves the 49ers.

“Unless the media has an opportunity for me somewhere, I’ll always explore those opportunities,” Kelly said in October when questions emerged about whether he’d voluntarily leave the 49ers. “But, I’m not going anywhere.”

He has since gone, at the behest of the team. Whether he goes to FOX or another media company remains to be seen.

No more excuses.... He plays under this staff, if they ask him to jump he will reply how high?. I want him to succeed, yet I don't want his ego to be an obstacle in his overall game now that he thinks he's ballin' because we decided to dump a boat load cash on him prematurely.
