Gonzalez: Rams rookie TE Gerald Everett goes from overlooked to 'beast'

Well .. McVay's a TE Coach .. he said he preferred Everett .. So he must see something he really likes! Right!?! I'll Trust McVay until he shows me I shouldn't!;):D

Walters football had him a head of Engram. He was listed as the 3rd best TE in the draft.
Phil Savage says he will be a star , even before the combine. He also said Hr was banged up during Senior Bowl practice , but was competing in the game still
Gerald is also bigger than Engram & can actually blocker. In fact looks good on the edge , & sets up LBers on his release for a good outlet with DE that cheat. He finds the open spots.
His speed shows at the combine, but if he was a little banged up , did that cause a slower 40 ? Even if it didn't he is strong after the catch.

--Anyone who wanted Lamp over Gerald Everett can criticize Snead all they want. He stuck to his board & added value in making an excellent trade drafting J Johnson.

The thing Some Ram fans forget is how this off season has set up. McVay came into this with no 1st. Rd pick.

The first thing he does is releases Lance Kendrick who was under contract.

In FRee agency The Rams address every spot on the roster except TE .

It doesn't take a genius to figure out the direction & player The Rams wanted all along.
---Just to add The Rams could have got the best player in the draft on the 3rd day ?? At least by position of need ?

Re-Ranking the 2015 RB Draft Class

After last season I do have doubts about Gurley. I hope he can turn it around but I am not sold on him being an elite back. I have been watching football for over 40 years and I know what bad looks like. To me Gurley just looked bad last year, plain and simple. I do blame much of that for being on such a badly coached offense but Gurley surely did not rise above it either. Football is team sport so being in a bad system or a bad "system fit" can be kryptonite for good players.

My doubts about Gurley are tempered because I also remember that Jerome Bettis struggled mightily in the 1995 season. The 1995 season was year three of Bettis' career, he was with new head coach, and it was the year the Rams moved St Louis. It worked out well for Bettis who went on to have HOF career but he was traded into an offensive system that perfectly suited his skill set.

Last year's offense left such a bad taste in my mouth that it taints everyone still on the roster who was associated with it. However in an almost forgotten recess of my brain where my LA Ram optimism resides there is a soft voice whispering that it was the coaching and the system because too many talented prospects have withered on the vine of Fisher led offensive teams for it to just be a coincidence.

So now in McVay I trust! :football:

Biggest remaining holes, NFC West

Where a few weeks back there was this whole pre-draft 'hole' (@OldSchool) controversy, I was inclined to disagree with him at that time, and stayed out of the debate, but today, i'd be with him. I see no 'holes' on this team at this time, ... yes, there are a few areas where depth may be considered a little thinner than at others, only naturally, but holes, I don't think so. I don't recall this much genuine unit competition in years, ... OL, WR, DL, LB, CB, we finally have some real talent fighting for several roles at both starter and reserve positions. I can't imagine us keeping a 3'rd QB with all the apparent talent elsewhere, that will be decided much later though, some of the camp battles this season look quite formidable. Reserve OT, reserve C, a potential 10'th man on the OL, who sticks on the roster at WR and who hits the practice squad, reserve defensive linemen, a 5'th possible OLB, and which CB hangs on to the last job available, ... this is gonna be one tough camp. jmo.

 for Rams fans, ... this team improves big time however it works itself out.

Betting Exchange tutorial

Go to the Ramsondemand.com homepage.

If the word 'Sportsbook' appears at the top then move your cursor over it. If you don't see it look for '3 dots', (or similar icon...and move your cursor over that. This should create a drop down list of options. Please click on the 'Sportsbook' option. I have added red rings to to the pictures below purely to highlight the procedure.

This will take you to the Create Bet page. Please fill in the bet details carefully. Please make the 'Bet Description' as clear as possible and make it clear which side of the bet you are taking. Example: Rams 3600½ offensive passing yards excluding sack yardage in 2017. I get the Over. You get the Under.

It is recommended you do a trial run before you challenge anyone to a wager. In a trial run you should challenge yourself to the bet. This will prevent other members receiving a notification or any other member accepting the bet before you have set up everything as you want it to be. On a trial run you should also set a very short time limit on the bet, (5-10 minutes). Once created bets can't be altered or deleted until they expire. If you set a 6 month time limit on a bet you won't be those $ROD back if no-one accepts until the time limit you set expires. Please be aware that currently bets declined by other members become open to the rest of the ROD community. There are flaws in the system. Currently either party can pull out of bets part way through and only lose part of the wager as a default. Abuse of the system will be frowned upon. Bets require both parties to actively agree to bet settlement.

If you require assistance or bet settlement by a moderator please feel free to contact them...because they absolutely love the hassle and extra work. :sneaky:

Between the Horns w/ Demarco(No Dave this is not a 70's porn flick)

This^ is a Great Movie, I have watched it several Times! But given my choice, I'd rather be the Commish of the NFL than Prez of the U.S.!(y);):D

Agree, ... great movie imo. Even Condaleeza Rice would prefer Commish over the Presidency, but seeing the direction of the country, I'll take the POTUS job thank you very much. Then i'll recommend you as Commish & tell the NFL that their anti-trust exemption is in my cross-hairs if they don't appoint you. :palm:

Switching Phones

That is a great analogy. Apple takes the approach that "We know what's best" (for you), and to a certain extent I agree, but have always heard the androids are much more customizable.
I've been apple my entire smartphone life - ten years - and am reluctant to change, but I'm going to take a hard look at the Samsung edge 8 vs the Iphone 8 (when it arrives).

Androids are completely customizable, you can change pretty much everything. When the price of the 8 comes down I will probably get it, $30-$35 a month for the next two years knowing that they will roll out at least 2 more Galaxy editions rubs me the wrong way even though I can afford the 8 or 8 Plus. My 5 is still fantastic and with the updates it works perfectly.

I started on a Blackberry way before the iPhone came around. Eventually when Blackberry came out with the Storm, their touchscreen phone, I got one. I went right to an Android from there a couple of years later. I tried an iPhone for two weeks back when Verizon would let you try a new phone for 30 bucks or so for two weeks, but went back to Android because the iPhone's lack of customization.

If you take the time to learn how to tweak it, and as mentioned there are a ton of vids online to help, you'll like it. From my experience I have met more people that have gone from an iPhone to Android and stayed versus the other way around.

Well that didn't last long. I said the hell with that phone and bought me an IPhone. lol I just couldn't do it

A lot of iPhone users end up getting Android phones that have a faulty operating unit. The way to tell is let the screen go dark and then hold it up and look at it to see the problem.

Next men up: Top QB talents in CFB pipeline

Wimbush is a beast. He was dinged up in spring practice when he was a Frosh which is why he was behind Kizer. He's only a Sophomore. Wimbush killed it in spring practice this year and will be better than Kizer
And Davis is more likely to play RB/WR than QB

Wimbush was a big get for PSU a few years ago. Many felt he could start as soon as Hackenberg left. Then his Notre Dame alum, high school coach started pushing hard for Wimbush to go to Notre Dame and got him to flip. There is something wrong there when a grown man uses his influence over a kid to get him to do what he wants. Wimbush was happy to stay close to home, originally. I have to admit he was a prospect to get excited about.

But, in the last year I read a lot of PSU fans basically saying he isn't cutting it. Must be sour grapes. I looked him up and the site I saw said he was a junior. It would make sense because Tommy Stevens was PUSs constellation prize that year and he is a Jr. Incidentally he has better tools than McSorley. He's bigger, faster, more accurate, stronger arm, etc...but I guess he doesn't have the moxie.

Rams mailbag: Gary Klein

I look for Everett and Kupp to both have a Big impact in their 1st year wearing Horns! The more attention Everett gets the more open Kupp will be and vice versa! And that will intern help our running game and the rest of our WR Corps! ;):D
I look for our Offense to be very exciting this year!!:yay::yess:

Downtown Rams Podcast Ep4: Breaking down Rams draft

My favorite thing about this is the fact that we are about to shut up people who said Robert Woods isn't a good WR. Mainly Buffalo fans. Kupp is really going to show out I think.

What did you think of Sammy Watkins when he came out. I was hoping The Rams would trade back with Buffalo , that always seems to work out for the team that trades back. Atlanta made out well.
