Peter Schrager still a Huge Cooper Kupp fan

Kupp would demand a lot of attention if he started playing on pace to 70 balls; D's would shut it down before he got there, for reasons not the least of which because he's a rookie and also if there's no one else to take the pressure off him (hope I'm wrong about that).

Nah. Guys who play in a good scheme and who have next level understanding of defenses plus route running are very difficult to shut down.

Cupp is not an athlete who can be focused and removed with a guy on him. I think 70 catches is an accurate expectation for him.

Doing Something You Always Wanted to Do

Congrats LR!
Wonderful achievement.

I can identify with some of your experience.

In my 30's, I was still struggling, didn't really believe in myself and going nowhere career wise.

My Dad helped me with an opportunity and I've been pretty darn successful. I've risen to a position that I would never have dreamed of in my career. My former manager, who has retired, referred to me as a cult hero figure to our Corporate HQ ....an upper Midwest company while I am a Southern boy.

The respect and recognition is the most gratifying piece.

Good luck as you continue!

Gisele says Tom Brady had a concussion last year

When I first saw this headline I was like, eh, no biggie. Then when I thought about it more it seems like another rule that a Patriot is skating around. Entitled punks. On Giselle, when I see her pic I try to look for an attractive quality, can't find any other than her money. On the other hand I always thought Olivia Munn was hot. That youtube vid where she's clipping her toenails, naked (blurred out) --- yowsa.

On the broken leg, I can watch it fine. There are some disgusting things I can't watch but that's not one of them. My sister though, a longtime football fan, can't watch any replay with bending limbs like that. She'll hold up her hand and turn away, no curiosity there.

Jared Goff and Nelson Spruce at Wango Tango

I have to disagree with you ramification. Your idea that it doesn't make "business sense" to have a UDFA beat out a 3rd round pick is exactly why Fisher got fired. Its about winning, and starting the best players with no regard to where they were drafted.

You're suggesting just because you got drafted early you have a lock on the 53, is how teams finish in last place.
How often do 3rd rounders not make the team? I cant think of any

MMQB: Why You Can’t Let Young QBs Learn from the Bench

I don't know if it would have helped Goff to start the season or hurt him. He took a beating in 7 games and playing in 16 games he could have had a serious injuy.. Goff got NFL game experience and came out healthy. Goff really had a lot going against him. Spread offense and not under center in college, pocket passer not a option thread and limited off season practice. Looks like things worked out for the best getting a healthy fresh start with a high quality coaching staff.

The 5 most difficult records to Break!

Nice catch! I love remembering Dryer's Record, I for one have never forgotten it!!(y);):D
BUT I have to admit I didn't remember the 1984 Giants game. IDK IF that's still a record or not,, maybe someone can enlighten us!!?!o_O

Just double checked, 3 safeties in a game is an NFL record and the Rams hold it. This one is pretty unlikely to be broken.

Was a strange game. The wind blew the goal post over sideways during warmups so the start was delayed several minutes while they fixed it. Then on the opening kickoff a confused Ram player stood and watched the ball roll into the endzone without touching it and the Giant's Phil McConkey fell on it for a TD. The safeties were 2 blocked punts and a sack, all in the 3rd quarter, so the Rams' NFL record for # of safeties in a quarter is a lot safer.

United Airlines buys the naming rights to LA Memorial Coliseum(15 years/$70M)

So sick of naming rights now. Nothing can be untouched, now it's gonna be United Airlines Memorial Coliseum every fucking time there's a commercial break or they come back from commercial. You already know United will wanna just slap their logo everywhere around that place. Fuck United Airlines and screw the NBA with going on on stupid ad patches on the uniforms.

Round 3 Pick 69: Cooper Kupp, WR

His size is the type that tends to get injured. Every type of TE tends to get injured. A few examples for you:
Gronk
Scott Chandler
Todd Heap
Troy Niklas
Austin Sefarian-Jenkins
Jace Amaro
Crockett Gillmore
Kyle Rudolph

Injuries are a fact of life for TEs. It's just like HBs. They both play positions where you take a physical pounding.

Look at Graham from Seattle.

It's just nice to see some young blood come in at TE position. Hated Kedricks play , even when he was open it was nervous time. Alway remember Cook fumbling as well.

Simmons: What Are the Rams Options at Center?

I think Sullivan will start and we'll be happy, but I love the plan McVay has implemented to the point where I feel the center position is well taken care of. The difference I feel between just after the groy deal fell through and now is night and day and really shows the difference in how the new staff addressed a key position as opposed to how fisher would have handled it. You know he would have been calmly feeding us how Barnes could only improve, etc..

Bud Grant's Garage Sale

I would imagine everyone has a different standard of meeting that definition. For me personally, I have to cop out and borrow from Justice Stewart -- by stating "I shall not today attempt to further define it ... but I know it when I see it" -- because listing all the disgusting examples of how the Whiners had no honor would take a few pages at least, or maybe a book.

Jerry Rice - illegal stickum
Fast Eddie - illegally paying players extra cash under the table
Carmen Policy - illegal salary cap manipulation

Just a few of the worse ones. But hey, I always hated them mostly for the same reasons (plus a lot more) as I hated the Cowboys and Vikings, because the Rams were good enough to beat them but came out on the losing side more than I wanted to see. Plus I lived in a state where a lot of their fans jumped on the bandwagon in the 80s when before then you hardly saw them around, and then became arrogant and entitled. Uh oh don't get me started! (too late!) :fuelfire:
