RAmily, I need advice. Desperately.

Hopefully you've documented all these occurrences and times you spoke to others about the mistreatment.
For one, if you file for unemployment and they try to fight it, and 2, even an employee at will can sure for wrongful termination.
Alas, the old adage, if it aint in writing, it didn't happen

When you show a whole binder full of the work I've done, and still get fired. Shows what kind of people up top are.

Do yourself a favor.

Send an email to her boss detailing everything. Save screen shots from coworkers but blur the numbers and send them so they can se it's her not you.

I'd even fire a nasty shot like "if you are willing to terminate her or move her out of her current position to a different department I would welcome discussion about coming back to work. As you can see by these screen shots the problem wasn't me".

Drop that bomb.

Not even worth it. They only way I'd come back is if they boost my salary to 6 figures, never being on call, and always working on MY schedule.

Last few days I've been doing nothing but thinking of all the time and progress I put in, in terms of organizing the mess that was and still is there. Oh well, not my fuckin problem anymore.

Training camp reports

I'll be there again this year too. I would love to meet up with fellow ROD members but please don't think I'm rude when I start ignoring you to pay attention to the action. Like you said Bubba, it is VERY hard to keep up with everything. I tried taking notes one time last year but that was a waist as you miss the action of the next play. I like to take my camera and when I review the pictures the memory comes back to me.

Just post what you saw and how you feel about things. That's what i did and it was very well received here on ROD. I'm not a pro-scout but just a guy who loves his Rams since '68.

Hope to see you there along with others!

I know you had a lot going on & needed doing a couple nice reporter. Thanks again. --I'll be there for at least one. I like to run with the team from place to place , but wouldn't mind getting some help learning how to down load a couple photos.[/QUOTE]

Downloading to a computer for storage and editing is a snap if you have a PC (like me). You Apple folks do things in a total different way. Now posting to this site, I struggle with that so the best thing I did was load my pics to Photobucket (online storage and sharing site) and posted the link here.

I know I just threw a lot of different stuff at you but we can work it out and I'm sure there are some guys on here with much better WEB and PC skills than I would can help us out. We'll make it work.

Is McVay's rebuild of the Rams as large as Fisher's rebuild of the Rams?

Though I would agree that the money is the key ingredient, Shaq came to the Lakers because of the glitz and glamor. He was offered more by other teams. Garnet wanted out of Minnesota because.... it was Minnesota. Chris Webber wanted out of Sacramento because it was a "hick town" that rolled up the sidewalks at night. Location still means something to these guys.

Granted, the Rams are not the Lakers right now and salaries have gone through the roof, but there is a cache that is LA and Rams players used to live it. Not sure I remember too many Browns or Bills players beyond OJ having TV shows and such.

Dude!! Jim Brown QUIT football because Hollywood offered more $ than football would have been able to at the time. Those guys made WAY smaller checks.

Shaq went to the Lakers on a huge deal, only the Magic could beat it because of the rules back then, the Bird Exception. He still went to LA because with Kobe he knew they would be in the mix for titles. Plus IIRC he was a bit of a Lakers fan as a kid. But make no mistake if another team offered him that money he would have taken it, he was on his way out of Orlando. The Lakers had the only offer that wasn't bigger than the Magic. As a Lakers fan I was glad to see him there too..........it made them the favorite in pretty much every game.

Webber was a schmuck about leaving the Kings. And he was enough of a headcase that the Warriors dumped him after an impressive rookie season. Then in Washington he wore out his welcome. And he did it again in Sactown. I don't recall how he behaved with the Sixers, I don't remember reading anything about him being a dick so who knows. He was a mercenary type. 5 or 6 teams I think. He was a dick.

Garnett wanted out because he wanted a title. The Wolves were not putting pieces in place and just couldn't get over the hump. And believe me he got paid by the Celtics while they were putting together a sort of "Big 3". The Wolves were in bad shape and McHale had made a mess of them. He was tight with Ainge in Boston. Garnett was traded, he didn't leave..........and Minny is a very cool city you should check it out somtime, more fun the Chicago IMO.

Plus by the way Garnett was going to be playing with RAllen and The Truth, that was the final straw. Oh that and the bazzilions he got paid LOL. Garnett copped some huge contract in his 20 year career. And the Celtics handed him LOADS.

Money is the key ingredient and I have watched pro sports for years. There is the occasional exception where an old vet hasn't ever won a title and will take the minimum to go to a team that is considered a lock or close to it for a trip to the title game/series. I don't blame guys like that but it takes a little of the shine off the ring IMO, it's a little less lustrous. These guys play for the money first essentially regardless of where they live short term to earn it, everything else is either second or third of floating on the periphery.

I don't blame them one bit either.

It's the paycheck.

Los Angeles Rams 2017 NFL Draft: Data/Analytics Review

The overall the tone of his presentation appears to imply that is devaluing these selections because the metrics do not project them as all-pro talent. That is a very flawed perspective. Over 50% of all pro bowlers are 1st round picks and that number is even greater when you factor in multiple pro bowl appearances. The chances of players drafted beyond the 2nd round becoming even a long term starter really drops off. Most of the high metric guys are usually the first and second round picks and the Rams had no 1st round pick. To put these metrics in their proper perspective he really needs to factor in when these players were drafted and he fails to do that.

If history shows that Rams acquired 3 or more productive long term starters in this draft without a first round pick it will be a success in my book. When looking back at past Rams drafts there have been many unfortunate instances where they were lucky to even acquire 1 or 2 decent starters and most of those were either a first or second round picks.

This staff went after specific traits, and it remains to be seen whether they were right. Good thing is we're gonna have a good idea here soon with camp and the preseason games.

This guy fails to incorporate "intangibles", something you can't put numbers to. How do you measure instinct, or football smarts? You can't.

That's where guys like McVay, who have been around football their whole life come in. They're the ones who see the players who don't put up the measurables,,but see the instinctiveness, the fire in the belly, and the football smarts. How do you measure pain tolerance or ability to take hits?

If I'm drawing up a draft board, all of those "intangibles" will factor in.
(I know I spelled it wrong)

All good points. Draft order return, specific traits and intangibles.

It was an interesting look at the picks. It actually confirms that the Rams accomplished their goals. McVay and the Rams need starters to replace the players they let walk, for future lost players as well as depth players. They drafted character team players that place football and effort as high priorities. These picks have football instincts that overcome a little less physical talent. This draft looks like it includes early impact players and future starters. Could be 3 or more productive starters.

#60 Dennis "Herc" Harrah

Kent Hill had HOF talent....I saw some 1981 games where he let down to inferior talent, and I think that is why not 7-8 pro bowls....but when he pulled, wow, who is better---ever. He benched 500 pounds, too. He was 6'5" with the feet of a LT. I think he had 5 pro bowls....I always said HOFer Randy White had NO chance against Kent Hill. I think when Hill came in 1979 the line started to jell around week 13 or so....then they ran on everybody including the 3-4 Bucs, who were the #1 D in the NFC that year. They ran pretty well, all things considered, against he Steelers, too. Tyler had a -13 yard carry (or so) in the super bowl, so that jilts the stats a bit.

Harrah and Isaac Bruce both maximized their talent and played with great smarts. BOth are HOFers...just when. It took Youngblood 15 years...a broadcaster said 1989 he will be in HOF....even with his rep it took a long time.

Tom Newberry was strong, could root out William Perry, and was a great passblocker. Ya, his career leveled off fast. In 1986-1989 he was a top 3 guard. Newberry did very well as a pulling guard with the Steelers later on.

I will say this, I don't think the Rams used steriods like the Steelers.....(neither did Dallas I think). A back up O lineman from the Detroit Lions, who cam to the Rams in the early 1980s, said the same thing about the Rams not using steriods....especially that Slater was country strong.

Blocking Aaron Donald in practice makes games 'easy' for Rodger Saffold

My biggest question during the Fisher years was we know he had roster control but how much influence did he have on the amount players were given with 2nd contracts. Did he suggest to KD hey we'll have to pay him like player X over on that other team or did he just leave it up to KD and his team to decide. Always wondered that issue.

Unknowable, OldSchool.

Just glad Fisher is gone, tbh.

As to the decision making when it comes down to extending players? One can keep some, but no team can afford to keep all. Cap rules just make that impossible.

Makes for some crucial decision making. Some players and their agents make it impossible to retain them. I thought JJ did that to the Rams last year.

Turned out that he and his agent had a better handle on his value than the Rams did.

Mannion - Opinions

LOL....sounds like he should just jump on over to WR coach....LOLOL

I still say he had plenty of talent. Those WRs.....I keep remembering a guy named Paz too...pretty good RB...did he play with the Jaquez Rodgers....that fire-plug RB? And I still say they have a few quality 0- linemen. But that was 2013-2014. I don't remember any excuses for Brett Hundley...and the talent around him...yet...oh yeah, he won games.
You mean when their running game totaled roughly 1200 yards I believe it was? Yeah - he had great RBs in THAT backfield. Not sure who this Paz guy is that you are referring to. He had Storm Woods and Terron Ward. I don't think either one of them ever sniffed an NFL sideline or the 1,000 yard mark.

Sorry but in the search for talent, UCLA almost always gets better recruits than OSU. I didn't follow Hundley so I can't say for sure but the OSU offense was a total train wreck in 2014. Meanwhile Hundley's running game had roughly double OSU's numbers.

Jamon Brown taking 1st-team snaps at RT.

"I think what you like about Jamon is his demeanor. I think he's got a great disposition where he's willing to be coached," McVay said.

I think this quote about Brown says a lot... If he's willing to learn and develop into a 'Kromer Guy' then I'm all for it. If he can do what coach Kromer tells him to and doesn't mess it up surely thats a bonus on the line

Cole: Report: Rams could start Mannion if Goff struggles

I gotta go with ole school here...I get what dxmissle is saying but I heard Herm Edwards say something....McVay probably told Snead & Demoff he could "fix" Goff...and Herm says he was brought in to fix him...This is probably part of his solution...Let him earn it ...He should..he's more talented. But I like the tone....Stop giving dudes jobs...targets...time. But Goff should win this position...if he's breathing, he's playing.

5 Rams on ESPN list of 99 people who will shape 2017 season

The author reveals his bias against Goff and not McVay's true opinion of his starting QB. In the hiring process, the Ram's were fully invested in finding a HC with a history of developing QB's....McVay HAD to sell his belief in Goff, or he never would have gotten the job. Why would he lie, by the way? He was NOT desperate for the Ram's HC gig and probably could have gotten a different HC job elsewhere if he felt Goff was really a disaster (Niner's were interested in him).

The author is a total fuqqing asshat.
