Just a friendly reminder this last weekend was the beginning of the championship run for 2017 for those Wolverines from Ann Arbor. Championship in imminent, it is a great year. I feel our Rams and those Maize and Blue boys going to have a hell of a year.

If you are not a fan of any college football team i suggest you watch those boys in the most iconic helmet in college football, the winningest program in CFB history, and the biggest capacity stadium with the best tradition in the country. Maybe you can be apart of The Team as well!

VIDEO/TRANSCRIPT: Rams Head Coach Sean McVay – 9/2/2017

I gotcha...
There are several sayings....
Success happens when preparation MEETS opportunity.....I always share that with the kids....another one
Failing to plan is the same as planning to fail....that sounded better in my head and doesn't seem to apply...maybe I need to pay attention to my ribs.
Orlosky seemed to get "better" later in the game...but he's not some 40 year old journeyman...Isn't he in his late 20's? He played like he didn't prepare...the short throws were all over, or he's never thrown with any receiver....and he had a personal agenda of trying to ensure McRoberts had 100 yards...it was strange that a guy so highly spoken of by the coaches could look so...so...IDK....like unprepared...not just unskilled.
Another thing...
First offensive criticism of mine...EVERY QB on our roster stares down targets....hell, even Rosen last night was manipulating the safeties and coverages with his eyes and pump fakes. Orlovsky was just like Mannion and Goff...Seems the QB coach...WR coach..OC...and McVay should get on the QB's about this.
he's 34 years of age, has played for Lions, drafted by them in 2005, fifth round. He has also played for Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, Tampa Bay Buccaneers,

O-Line cuts throughout the league

With the exception of Auburn.
With OL'ers & drafting.....You know what I prefer to look heavy & long in the ....http://www.bigten.org/sports/m-footbl/big10-m-footbl-body.html

Being down here in the deep south SEC rules subject of conversations of course but not a real big resume in NFL OL'ers as of late ....LSU would appear to be in the top of the SEC list at the moment.

Waiver Wire Claims & Rules

They really signed Spruce back to PS?...I am bothered by this Shippen is better than Spruce. Ugh well he will be on injured reserve again for an entire year...
Just to make sure this is all clear in everyone's head!!
* Kevin Davis was an IR settlement, He's gone!
* Spruce - Is on IR!
* Forrest - Is on IR!
And
* Tillery - is on IR!
I don't think any of them are " IR Designated to Return"

{ But I just came off IR myself and they have me as "Day-to-Day!":yay::yess:}

My Fantasy Squad

QB--Carr
RB--LaMarr Miller
WR--Mike Evans
WR--Golden Tate
TE--Gronk
W/R--McFadden
K--Janikowski
D--Houston
Bench
RB--T Rawls
RB--J Rodgers
TE--H Henry
WR--Kupp

Keeper league (2 "skill" players plus a D or K) with 14 teams. So, by the time the draft starts the equivalent of 28 of the top players are gone plus some kickers and defenses. Makes it tough.
I've actually had a couple of offers for Kupp.
If Miller gets hurt it doesn't do well RB will kill me.
McFadden and Rogers are just temp until suspensions are over. Later round picks.

The number of NFL trades are up, but does it mean anything?

It's also worth noting the heavy participation of recently hired general managers, who are either applying a new style or remaking their rosters in a hurry, or both.

These general managers are doing a salary dump and age dump. That accounts for a good portion of the trades but not all. Players with one even two years remaining on their high dollar or middle dollar aren't going to be resigned for long term help so they get what they can get. This way roster turnover can be significant in year one with cap space and draft capital to continue the following years.

What's going on here? Has the NFL embarked on a new era of next-level wheeling and dealing? Or are we overreacting to what history will judge as a bunch of relatively inconsequential moves?

A quick spin through a few NFL sources Sunday suggested a consensus more toward the latter. To be sure, there have been no NFL rule changes or policy tweaks that make trades more attractive. While the frequency was without recent precedent, the deals themselves might prove to be simply a different process -- more aggressive but at a greater cost -- to either address roster holes or give a once-promising player a second chance.

At first glance you can think these are inconsequential moves. You have to consider the winning teams making these moves the Patsies and Seahags they may not be inconsequential. Free agency has always been an expense and mixed return proposition. Competing teams have been completing rosters more year to year with short term prove it deals, and short term veteran fill ins. Every year preseason injuries create holes in NFL team's rosters. Making small trades can be a cheaper and less risky way to fill in needs now and for the near future.

The Rams made one of nine trades over the cut weekend. They needed to replace recently injured TE Tamerrick Hemingway. The were able to give up a very low value 7th round pick to get Derek Carrier who has experience in the same offense the Rams use. He can play the first game of the season this Sunday. The Rams could have tried to get Carrier on waivers with only four teams ahead of them to claim Carrier first. They didn't want to take the chance of losing the best low cost option to fill a position of need. If these little trades can fill needs we will see them continue.

The Dreaded B/U QB syndrome

We're not going to lose to Tolzien. We have Wade Phillips. Tolzien is terrible.
There have been some real bad openers for the Rams. Losing to a Tolzien led horrible Colts team would have to rank at the top if it happens. In my mind Tolzien doesn't qualify for a decent third string QB much less the primary back up. Why the Colts didn't address the back up QB position earlier is beyond me.

Sammy Watkins reveals number choice

I'm sorry for your loss, but that's still not a valid reason to lead me on like that. Your family member died upholding American values. Some of those values include freedom of speech, freedom to protest. That's what they exercised. And Bailey didn't deserve what happened to him because he supported the protest.

If everyone is fine with Stedman making his protest in an inappropriate setting like a family sporting event, why am I not allowed to protest a protest here? Stedman did NOT deserve what happened to him, but for someone to state that Watkins is a worthy successor to Stedman kind of rubbed me wrong. By all accounts Watkins has never made a stand during the time he is entertaining people. I really wasn't leading u on personally, but I guess that is what happened ..sorry for that and I will just let this go...was not really meaning to single you out...this NFL protesting stuff just stinks

Go Rams

Rams cuts

Playing inside and outside is much different for him, anyway.

Have you seen him try to cover somebody outside?

I can't explain it but he sucks as a cornerback, sucks as a free safety but looks okay in the slot.

We saw last when he was given a shot on the outside during preseason. He was bad.

Never liked the idea of him moving to FS because of his inability to cover downfield and his style of tackling--it works closer to the LOS/middle of the field, in traffic, but I cringe at the idea of him having to tackle downfield in space. He's liable to be bouncing off guys if he doesn't wrap--and that's if he doesn't knock himself out!

The irony is that he was the highest rated cover corner in the slot last season. THATS what he was drafted to do.

Les Snead talks roster cuts

I was looking closer at Hatfield...he's 5'10, 170 lbs....so....I mean, unless he's unique, he still has a bunch of filling out to do...perhaps with the proper training/trainers...he can add muscle and increase his speed and quickness...and become a better overall player. This is just a guess....

I'd really like to see where he plays....like how many ST's units?

I see Greg Williams GRABBED Mike Jordan already.

Jake Ellenbogen's Final 53-Man Roster Prediction

Very good....excellent

Mundt was a shocker....I was in my car...listening....and later watched Daniel Jeramiah joke that Orlosky must have been paid to target McRoberts in the last game. LOL....Almost every other pass went to this kid....I think at one time he had 8 targets for 1 catch....
Peterson & Hatfield...good for them...

8 offensive linemen....I wonder if they wanted to cut more? LOL
Thank you! Mundt was a total shocker for me. Glad he made it though

Rams final 53 man roster (*for now)

Whos is on the Practice Squad?

I'm guessing Wichmann, Jordan, Rogers and Eldecamp end up there.

Disagree on Rogers just not a position I would keep on the practice squad. Watching him in preseason, I saw nothing and on top of that, McVay's offense is more TE focused so they tried a FB and Rogers did nothing well besides being the first guy out of the locker room.
