Sammy Missed in Buffalo...

Another team's verbal commitment not to use a tag is irrelevant.
Well there's no way in heck that it's just a "verbal commitment".
I wouldn't be surprised if the franchise clause on a rookie contract didn't take up 5 pages of legalese.
Double spaced and initialed line by line.
I also don't think it has a whole lot to do with whether Watkins "wants" to be franchised.
That would be the team's decision as they worked out in the new players agreement contract.

Anywho...it's an interesting subject and may be that we'll get a definitive poster that knows for sure.

Because after that game last week I sure as hell would like to have him around for a couple years.

Aaron Hernandez autopsy showed severe case of CTE

As you and others point out, though, that damage can come from things other than football...maybe not drug use, but street fights or other sports activity (boxing, MMA, heck soccer). This guy clearly ran with a rough crowd, one has to wonder how many fights he got in how many times he had his bell rung?
What about College, Highschool, middle school these guys have been playing the sport most of their lives definitely more than 3 seasons

Tavon Austin bringing us down @ p cooper

I don't hate Tavon.. the dude has some serious wheels.

But yeah.. I have accepted that he just isn't that great a player.. definitely not a top 10 pick.

But it happens. He still has some value.

I used to think that if he were drafted by an offensive head coach he'd be a superstar. But now I just think he needs to be in a read-option type scheme where they aren't so focused on precision routes and depth. An offense where they're willing to run a bunch of bubble screens (which is his ideal usage IMO), jet sweeps and reverses like maybe Chip Kelly's offense would be ideal for him idk.

Either way I just hope we get something for him. The dude can't be happy being buried on our depth chart. And while there's some value to a guy like that in limited snaps, when it's looked at on the business side it just doesn't wash. So IMO just eat some of his salary and move him to the AFC, somewhere like Buffalo where he'd get more looks per game. Dude is just not gonna get that here.

Chargers back to San Diego?

Sam Farmer said:
…And the NFL wouldn’t simply let the family turn around and sell the team, reaping the benefits of moving to Los Angeles. Financial penalties are in place to discourage owners from acting like house flippers, even if they were they so inclined. That goes for the Rams, too…
If there's 1 thing you can definitively say about NFL owners it's they're pragmatic about money. It's all about the mid-to-long-term view. Right, wrong, and morals have no bearing. The NFL would benefit from Spanos' departure from the NFL. Whether Spanos profits from a sale or dies from gunshot wounds makes little difference to anyone outside of his immediate family. I'm not suggesting the NFL has him shot. Just pointing out how negatively he's valued.

Live Streaming Games - Fubo TV?

MODS: if you need to take this down due to being repetitive I completely understand.

I know this topic has been posted several times but with some new services coming available I was hoping to gain some insight from those of you who have used them. I am not a tech geek, but literate. I have never used streaming services and am not interested in downloading several pop up blockers and/or getting viruses from unsafe sites. Help?

Specifically, has anyone tried Fubo?

Thanks guys!

Why was the Defense so Bad Tonight?

Last night all Rob Quinn managed to do as our starting weak-side edge rusher is No sacks No Tackles just 1 assisted tack!
On the last play of the game...Quinn was near Aaron Donalds sack...He was on one knee...and was...I guess in a position that he basically was....I'd call it submission...kinda letting the O-lineman know, hey the play is over...then Donald almost slams Hoyer into the back of their legs...His head was down...He just seems like a shell of himself....

Back injuries are no joke.

Injury Report

Im most worried about Joyner and Sullivan. Those can be nagging injuries. Oh and also kwebb.
http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/9635/lamarcus-joyner

I have no real concerns with LJ. LJ might have been the best playing DB before his hammy took him out. Lucky for Wade that he has Cody Davis, Blake Countess & John Johnson behind LJ. If a worn down Garcon can beat out Trumaine Johnson wonder what a Cowboy named Dez Bryant will do to him.

Blythe did a very good job in playing for Sullivan. Sully's gromet may be broke but better than his back. I was wondering how long Sully would last before a injury would come along.
