Stranger Things season 2

SPOILER ALERT:

It was fun - i was hoping for so much more but I can't complain really
With hat said I think the whole thing lacked joy
Like in Goonies, sure they are taking the house away, but there is still time for one last adventure.
Here with stanger Things 2 the atmosphere seems artificially "heavy."
Like why would people pick on the kid who came back to life? Nobody I know who pick on him and call him "Zombie Boy" in negative terms. It should have beenthe opposite - kids worshipping the zombie boy
At least that would have been freah instead of so tiresome -- i mean that poor kid who plays Winona Ryder's son. All he did the entire season was make grimacing faces, like he was constantly taking a giant turd.
It would have been nice to see him have some fun.
But no.
How can you have fun when the subtext of the entire season is about puberty. I mean that final scene where she sends and big whirlwind donger into the "gate." Of course the gate looks like the devil's vagina. It's dark to say the least.
The subtextal coming of age bullshit was handled with the grace of a busted mule down diablo canyon
Overall it was fun to watch with thr family - everything except the "pull out" joke I had to endure next to my kids.

The Dolphins finally will get a return on the risk they took in the offseason.

Safety T.J. McDonald, signed subject to an eight-game suspension under the substance-abuse policy, has missed his eighth game and now has been added to the active roster.

To create space for McDonald, the Dolphins placed tackle Ja'Wuan James on injured reserve.

McDonald signed on March 31, after spending his first four NFL seasons with the Rams. The Dolphins were sufficiently impressed by his performance in the offseason, training camp, and preseason that they gave him a four-year extension before his suspension began.

A first-round pick of the Dolphins in 2014, James had started 25 straight games at right tackle for the Dolphins, with 47 total career starts. He suffered a knee injury on Sunday night against the Raiders.

Mocks draft as of 10/4

Hey good late Saturday morning to you hows the river this weekend?

The Ram signed OL'ers under contract that I was posting on & will be involved one or another with free agency are #1-Sullivan #2-Lucas #3 Neary & #4- Williams. In less than 16 months from now #1-Saffold,#2-Havenstien, #3 Brown & #4 Donnal will all be UFA's ! 3 of which are starters. So the point I would want to bring out that's 8 of 10 contracted present OL that will be involved in free agency in less than 16 months. Only one of the 8 is a RFA.

Sure do not want to wait to get your future Ram OL emergency plans ready for whats coming around the corner in this now fully functioning OL. Before now it was never a big concern because the OL was a mess & keeping a mess is not something you plan to do.

....my my how things changed in the OL since September of this season:sneaky:. I would not take any of these upcoming UFA as sure bona fide resign like you said on Sullivan....Everybody thought in the NFL world that it was certain that LT Andrew Whitworth would resign with the Bengals ........

Unfortunately, i'm late to the River this season, ... usually arrive in early/mid October, looks like I may not get there until just prior to Christmas this year, so still stuck in L.A.. Normally it's Oct - May at the River, June thru Oct. in L.A.

Well, ... in my scenario, only the Havenstein & Jamon Brown contracts will be of any concern, and we would have all of 2018 & early 2019 to get them re-signed. At worst, the Rams will have all 7 of their draft picks for the first time since McVay arrived available for 2019, also keep in mind that Spencer Long has played both LG & Center for Washington under McVay.

McVay 11-9 presser update on Malcolm Brown

I love the phrase " Make the opponent "D" defend every Blade of Grass!" That McVays approach to Offensive Play calling! I Like that a Lot!!(y);):D

That sounds like a shout out especially to the distinctive talents of Todd, Sammy, and Tavon. I keep waiting for Jared to synchronize with Sammy's route running: his speed, his acceleration, his tendencies when Jared is flushed out of the pocket, etc. When that synchronization becomes harmonious, the Horns offense will climb to a different level, even against great defenses. As the bell cow, Todd is the guy who sucks the safeties closer, and, when he is disruptive, he is the one who will help Sammy spring free more than anyone else.

So with Todd sucking the defenders to the LOS & Sammy stretching them vertically, and Robert & Cooper Kupp causing there own brand of havoc, eventually Tavon just might be able to sneak into some vacated areas and show some of the things he performed so frequently at the college level. Whether Tavon stays or not may well depend on his ability to take full advantage of his talented teammates down the stretch.

I have 3 tix and parking for this weekends game

@JackAttack85 Stub Hub has been terrible for me. They suggest selling 150.00 dollar tix for 54.00. There algorithm is off at times. Thanks though, I will give them away and right it off before I sell for 50.00.
The Rams sucking for so long a bad venue and lack of popularity have made season tickets a suckers game...Lick me

Yeah def dont look at their lame suggestions. They recommended my tix for 85, i sold them yesterday for 115 ea. Still below face, which is crazy.

Wait until this team has some successful playoff games at home. It will be crazy in the stadium and the place to be.

Hoping for this over the next few seasons :)

Gerald Everett Displaying Versatility in Rams' Offense

What I'm loving about Everett hell the entire team is the singular focus on just team play and winning. With that going on and keeping down and distance short it's hard for opposing teams to figure out our calls to convert downs
Pretty much that^^^. What an unselfish squad McSlay has put together. So proud of this team right now....

Malcom Brown injures MCL- #2 RB discussion

Obviously Gurley will get his touches....when he needs a rest or the coach wants to mix up with look, something with 2 TEs and 3 WRs set could be interesting....like up with 3 WRs out split with 2 TEs and bring Austin from out wide into the backfield to run, so 3 WRs out wide, the 2 TEs then split out wide creating a 5 WR empty backfield look, Austin coming into the backfield, if the D is more of a base look you should have mismatches out wide or if they go dime when they see 3 WRs they will be spread out to run Austin....or, run Davis and Austin each in the back field to give multiple passing options, hopefully, vs LBs.

Bonsignore: Rams are all right with right side of the offensive line stabilized

Our starting O-Line should be set at least thru the end of the 2019 season when Whitworth's contract runs out and/or Sully finally runs out of gas. I fully expect the Rams to re-sign Sullivan to a 2 year contract so he can finish his career here. Amazing how in a few short months management has taken an annual shortcoming for our Rams and turned it into a team strength. Between poor personnel & a string of injuries our last several coaches have struggled mightily to fix this constant problem. Enter McVay & Kromer ; The Rams steal Whitworth & Sullivan while training up our sore-spots on the right side. Saffold is playing lights out now that he knows he has a permanent position, and it just happens to be between our two new veteran free agent studs. So now we get to observe a near worst to first improvement with the OL, benefiting our RB's, WR's and without doubt, our near rookie QB. It's almost an embarrassment of riches, ... almost. Being Rams fans we must fret over something with our new offense, so curiosity over eventual replacements at LT & Center may be taking center stage.

IMHO, the CB position seems desperate for off-season F/A or draft tinkering due to the inevitable loss of Tru Johnson, and we have 2 other CB's also due to hit free agency if we can't get them re-signed prior to the big event. Thing is, ... with the knowledge that Whitworth is fairly temporary, and this appearing to be a very strong class of OT's in the upcoming draft, also remembering we have no 2'nd round draft pick, how should we proceed ? Last year the offense was in most dire need and 3 of our first 4 draft picks went to the offense, they also used the bulk of our available Free Agency money rather wisely, on one Mr. Andrew Whitworth. I'm just gonna take a wild guess and imagine that other than many of our present players who will be re-signed rather than be allowed to walk, 2018 will see the Rams dedicate a larger emphasis towards improvement of the defense in both free agency and the draft, allowing Wade Phillips to fully complete his desired transition to the 3-4.

A potential conundrum may occur should a player such as 6'8" 360lbs. Orlando Brown happen to be on the board when the Rams make their first draft pick. We all know how Kromer likes those big offensive linemen, and they won't get much bigger than Brown. Now, if we jump at a LT, where do we put him while Whitworth finishes out his starting career ? He'll need to start somewhere, but where ? Since Saffold is playing so well, would the team make him a CAP Casualty, you wouldn't think so, but the Rams could save $6.5 mil. towards the CAP if they deal him, and even with only a year (2018) left to go on his contract, should be able to garner pretty decent trade compensation. So Brown or whoever the Rams like as Whitworth's eventual replacement would have a temporary home between him and Sullivan while learning the ropes, and the Rams are set for the future at the LT position as well as saves money off the CAP AND will receive trade compensation.

Just to wrap up, cutting Quinn & trading Saffold adds another near $18.mil to our already rather significant scheduled 2018 available CAP. ($38.mil. + $5.mil rollover + approx. annual NFL CAP raise of $10.mil. + Quinn/Saffold savings = near $71mil.)

Who Will Win Houston Texans vs. Los Angeles Rams? A.I. Predicts
What could have been
By Alasdair Wilkins

from-their-last-meeting-in-2013.jpeg

From their last meeting in 2013

In another timeline, second-year breakout quarterback Jared Goff could have led the Los Angeles Rams into a shootout with rookie sensation Deshaun Watson and the Houston Texans. Only one of those things is going to happen, unfortunately, so it’s not exactly surprising a hive mind of about 40 NFL fans predicts the Rams will win big.

The Rams and Texans have both been riotously fun since unleashing their young quarterbacks. Goff has gone from bust in the making to a player capable of living up to his first overall pick status, while Watson was on track for quite possibly the best rookie season any quarterback has ever had. But an ACL tear to the Texans star means Houston must again turn to Tom Savage, which… sigh.

To predict the result of this and other games, Unanimous A.I. used what’s known as swarm intelligence to forecast the week’s slate. More than 30 NFL fans worked together as a hive mind to make picks.

As you can see in the animation below, each participant controlled a little golden magnet and used it to drag the puck toward the answer they thought was the most likely outcome. As the users saw the puck move toward a particular outcome, it triggers a psychological response. They readjust their decision-making, building toward a consensus.

Unanimous A.I. has made some scarily accurate predictions in the past using swarm intelligence, as our previous article explains. For instance, the swarm went a perfect 7-0 in its most recommended picks for a recent English Premier League slate.

The hive mind doesn’t hesitate too much in picking the Rams to win, though some odd wavering there at the end brings the collective brainpower down to a relatively modest 83 percent.

The hive mind likes the Rams to win here by 10 to 12 points. That’s right on the borderline of what Vegas thinks, as the Rams are favored by 11.

Celebration Thread - Rams@Giants

The Rams at GMEN was a great one to watch for Rams fans...A snoozefest for most everyone else...Looks like I might finally get to see a top notch type close game...Not only that but it's, well, the only word I can think of is SCINTILLATING...That's right boys and girls, a slugfest between 2 former multiple SB winning teams who bring a combined record this year of:
1-16...

Speak for Yourself - Best team in NFC West: Rams or Seahawks?

Heath Evans says the Seahawks forced those turnovers. Hmmmmm, they caused Austin to muff punts? Yeah, I don’t think so. But really, it’s fine...the Thursday game hadn’t happened yet and he didn’t count on Sherman going down. It’s funny how everyone says chemistry is vital on an offensive line but somehow throwing Brown in there at mid season suddenly transforms them?

Fortunately, the games will be played and our vindication is forthcoming
