We Are NOT Losing to Case Keenum

Because you mentioned playing all QBs the same. And that’s simply not true.
No I did not say that.
I said that those techniques that I quoted would work/help to contain all quarterbacks;
Contain them in the pocket.
Take away their lines of sight.
Collapse the pocket.
Clog the throwing lanes.

That would hinder all quarterbacks.
Whether they are a pocket passer, a guy who loves to scramble outside of the pocket to make plays or even a college quarterback who would rather run it then throw it.

Former Rams coach Mike Martz: Sean McVay a QB expert? 'Wait a minute while I puke'

What they quoted Martz as saying didn't bother me, just found it interesting. Of course there were some detractors after the hire. Including a posted chart where the youngest 1st year HC's all had losing records. Even Shula's bloodlines didn't help his son as a HC. So yeah, credit to McVay... the guy is even more amazing than I thought, and I was liking the hire.

Football Outsiders has bought in and is showing us some love

of all the sites, stats....new stuff....Football Outsiders is the best...I wish PFF would combine with them....merge....

I'd love to see us in the SB...versus the Pats....
I would like to see a rematch of either SB XIV or SB XXXVI Both would serve as great revenge games! But Whipping-Up on the Cheatriots would be most pleasing!!(y):D:yess:

The stats show remarkable Jamon Browns turnaround has been

His rookie year I thought he was showing huge promise and so was Havenstein. Than Brown got injured and 2016 happened and they both just looked awful. Glad to see them getting the proper coaching again.

I don't think it can be said enough though how much McVay's system and play calling has made EVERYONE on the offense better. 2016 was thee most predictable, awfully designed offensive system I've ever witnessed watching football on any level. When the other defense knows what you are going to do 100% of the time and none of your play designs try to misdirect or exploit anything you are setting up everyone for failure. Now, defenses have no idea what we are going to do... it gives the entire offense a split second edge to beat their man... and in the NFL that's all you need.

TLDR: Coaching and play calling makes a huge difference

Rams,Viking Stats That Some May Find Surprising

What's telling is the Rams played 6 teams who are in the bottom 10 in def points allowed. Could be bottom 10 because they played the Rams, but I think those stats are more about consistency throughout the 1st half of the season.

Also their rushing / passing yards allowed can be misleading because it includes being ahead and teams having to pass. They are 2nd in rushing yards per attempt.

One of the toughest defenses we'll face this season, obviously. The key though is to rough up Keenum with our defense. Can't consistently give him time. Make them make more mistakes. make them go 3 and out.

The Rams had fools gold in Kenny Britt now they have Robert Woods who is legit

I have a feeling Britt is no longer here had less to do with his play on the field , and more to do with his locker room presence

everyone has the ability to lighten up a room , some when they enter...............some when they leave

Both. No way they wanted a wr who didn't run crisp routes hard every down and was known to drop balls in critical situations.

.

Why Don't These Fools Recognize our Greatness?

I mean really....We are 7-2, and are obviously legit. Our offensive scheme is superior an the defense just chokes people to death! I go to opposing forums and the act like their team is just so much better, and our team is beneath notice! My phone keeps getting messaged by fools that disagree with my take of how great my team will do against their team....They just need to quit being homers and face the facts....

Question on Phillips

Defensive calls surely are less complicated than the offensive calls ...quicker to call in ?

He probably doesn't call every play, trusts Ogletree to get the guys set up in the right places .
Wade probably makes changes when things are not going well.

Yeah in a game there's going to be a lot of down/distance situations where the defense plays its gameplan, it's not like an offense where a given play has to be called every down. The great DCs are the ones who have a strong feel for the adjustments from the gameplan in real time, half time, etc. But make no mistake, Wade's in charge, as it should be.

Amid talk of playoffs and division title, Rams insist their focus remains narrow

A stifling defense has carried Minnesota to five consecutive victories. The Vikings allow 3.4 yards per rushing attempt (tied for second-fewest in the NFL this season) and 6.5 yards per pass attempt (tied for fourth-fewest). Minnesota has yet to allow more than 30 points in a game this season,
This^^ will all change come Sunday when they meet up with the Rams!!!

Celebration Thread: Texans@Rams

We can't come out flat vs. the Vikings. They're too good for that. We've gotta play our best games over the next two weeks.
Yup... but, even if they come out flat...
I wasn't even worried at the half.
I wasn't either...and won't be if they come out flat because...
coming out in the third quarter ready to attack because of half-time adjustments. We have some great coaches.
Excellent adjustment made by the Rams coaches in the 2nd half.
It's nice to see a team that can adjust at halftime,
I am amazed at how McVay can adjust at halftime,
Nice adjustments.
the way we can adjust at half-time both on O and D.

Honestly I almost feel bad for Fisher,
I do not - at all. In fact, I resent the guy for wasting all this talent for too many years. Sure, they built up a core in the beginning... gets a pass for that.

But, the last 2 years? NO pass for the record he threw up. I am so glad he's gone... if he ever gets another HC job in the NFL, I hope it's a division foe. Nobody knows how to screw up an offense like Jeff Fisher!

Tavon sucks.
I'm done with him... one game, good... next game, sideways runs with no gains. Just too inconsistent.

But I'm getting used to the blue and whites
I actually love them.

Robert Woods postgame. . .with a twist

I never heard the post pregnancy part. It would explain why they are solid stainless steel. Probably start larger and work toward smaller sizes. The Ben Wa balls I am familiar with are hollow and thus very light weight.

Stainless, Glass, silicon and plastic, various sizes & weights, solid or hollow. For health reasons, silicon & plastic not really recommended.
