Different feeling

This Season has been probably the most exciting one I have ever seen, and that's saying a lot!
It makes me feel like the 1st time I Dared to ask a Girl on a Date, and she said Yes! I couldn't believe it! And it turned out she had been wanting me to ask her out for some Time! My 1st Great Love!
And I have never been so sure of a Rams Team Winning, not even in "1999 - 2000 or 2001"!

Second Fiddle?

IDK Gentlemen, I listened to Cowherd & Gottlieb and they could not stop talking about how the Rams pounded Seattle. Gottlieb going on and on about the bully being put to rest and other bits and pieces I listened to confirmed the slaughter.
Yes

Can't call our selves victims of the press anymore, at least nationally. The national/main stream media is completely sold on a potential Rams Super Bowl

We won’t see Aaron Rodgers again in 2017.

The Packers announced on Tuesday that they have placed Rodgers on injured reserve less than a week after he returned to the active roster from another stint on the list. Rodgers missed eight weeks after breaking his collarbone and was less than 100 percent recovered when he made the start against the Panthers last Sunday.

The Packers lost that game and their slim playoff hopes went to none when the Falcons beat the Buccaneers on Monday night, which left little reason to risk further injury to Rodgers.

Brett Hundley will return to the starting lineup and the team announced that Joe Callahanis back on the active roster to serve as his backup. Fullback Joe Kerridge was also dropped from the roster on Tuesday.

Carson Wentz or Russell Wilson ................?

After this Sunday's game, please come back and tell me how much you love and respect Wussel.

I loved how he crumpled to the turf under the weight of Donald.. and Quinn.. and...

I loved how he fumbled the ball away

I loved how he flung the ball aimlessly backward for a 20+ yard loss

I loved how he passed the ball after crossing the LOS

I loved how he passed to no one in particular and took an intentional grounding call.

Mack's Dead Horse take on Aaron Donald

This post is prompted by @Merlin post:

Okay. Here goes.

I think Aaron Donald is a compulsive competitor and winner. Under Fisher, I think he was beyond frustrated. So much so that while other guys were saying things like "we failed coach" and "we didn't execute", Donald was pretty quiet. That silence spoke volumes. When it came to the new coach, he had a wait and see attitude.

I have speculated based on a few bits of information and things we've all learned about Aaron Donald that the reason he didn't sign this off-season wasn't about the money. Rather, I think his people insisted on a 3-year opt-out clause because Aaron Donald refused to go out like Steven Jackson and so many other Ram greats who withered on the losing vine. So, yeah, sign the big contract, but if it's still a shitshow 3 years from now, he could opt out and gtfo.

So, when I brought up alternatives to Aaron Donald staying, it's not because I wanted him gone. I'm notoriously stingy regarding paying the NFL for anything and Aaron Donald is one of the few guys whose jersey I'm considering buying (waiting for the new unis). I LOVE this guy, his competitive fire, and insistence on dominating.

But... we all may not have a choice. He may go because he and his advisors insist on that clause (or some other equally disqualifying language to the Rams).

The great news, if I may speculate further, is that AD is willing to listen to the Rams now that we are winning and not just winning, but set up to win for a long time. The entire culture changed in a very short period of time.

When AD came back, he made it clear that he would have no conversations about signing until after the season. I figured he'd play angry, almost resentfully angry all season and then try to force a trade.

But McVay and Wade were WAY better than even the drunkest of us Kool-Aid drinkers could hallucinate. The Rams haven't just won, but dominated. They lost 3 of 4 games in ways that showed we just had to learn how to better deal with scheme, execution and each other. Each loss has made us stronger.

The fact that AD's agents are even ENGAGED with the Rams prior to the end of the season is a FANTASTIC sign.

I think he earned even more money and his cap hit next year is gonna make Drew Brees seem like a bargain, but he'll be a Ram for life.

So, yet another effect, not side-effect, but direct effect of McVay's success is that Aaron Donald may actually sign that long-term contract we all want him to sign.

And if you saw AD out there on Sunday, he was having FUN. He plays angry, but you could tell he wants to keep playing with these guys.

I want this to happen so badly, but this tidbit, if true, is the first sign that AD may actually sign the long-term deal.

And that, my friends, may be an even bigger victory than what just happened in Seattle.
Great post, there can be no doubt, after each Loss, this Team Feels Like this .....

Playoff seeding

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2017/12/19/13-of-this-weeks-16-games-have-playoff-implications/

13 of this week’s 16 games have playoff implications
Posted by Michael David Smith on December 19, 2017

With two weeks to go in the NFL season, five teams have clinched playoff berths. But no team has clinched a playoff seed, and 19 teams remain in contention.

How to keep it all straight? Take a look at our cheat sheet for this week’s games, telling you which ones have playoff implications for both teams, which ones have playoff implications for one team, and which ones you can comfortably ignore.

PLAYOFF IMPLICATIONS FOR BOTH TEAMS
Rams at Titans: The Rams can clinch the NFC West with a win. The Titans would win the AFC South with two wins and a Jaguars loss on Sunday.

Dolphins at Chiefs: The Dolphins have very slim playoff hopes, which rest on winning out and getting a lot of help. The Chiefs clinch the AFC West with a win.

Bills at Patriots: The Patriots control their own destiny for home-field advantage throughout the AFC playoffs. The Bills are still fighting for a wild card and will have a great chance if they can upset the Patriots.

Falcons at Saints: The winner of this game clinches a playoff berth. The loser will still have a good chance of making the postseason.

Seahawks at Cowboys: The loser of this game is eliminated from playoff contention. The winner still has a chance, but will need help.

Raiders at Eagles (Monday): Right now this game has implications for both teams, but it might be meaningless before kickoff. The Eagles would clinch home-field advantage with either one more win or a Vikings loss. The 6-8 Raiders’ very slim playoff hopes hinge on winning out and getting a whole lot of help, including the 8-6 Chargers, 8-6 Bills and 8-6 Titans all losing out. If any of those teams win on Sunday, the Raiders are out of it.

PLAYOFF IMPLICATIONS FOR ONE TEAM
Colts at Ravens (Saturday): At the moment the Ravens are the AFC No. 7 seed, but if they win out they’ll be a wild card team. The Colts are out of it.

Vikings at Packers (Saturday): The Vikings have clinched the NFC North but are still fighting for a first-round bye and a chance at home-field advantage throughout the playoffs — which for the Vikings would include the Super Bowl. The Packers were eliminated when the Falcons won on Monday night.

Lions at Bengals: The Lions can make the playoffs with two wins, and help in the form of either the Falcons or Panthers losing twice. The Bengals are playing only for pride — which they don’t have much of, judging by their last couple games.

Chargers at Jets: The Chargers are still alive but will be eliminated with a loss. The Jets are out of it.

Buccaneers at Panthers: Carolina clinches a playoff berth with a win. Tampa Bay is out of it.

Jaguars at 49ers: Jacksonville has already clinched a playoff berth and will clinch the AFC South with a win. San Francisco is out of it but may be a tougher test than expected with Jimmy Garoppolo leading the 49ers on a three-game winning streak.

Steelers at Texans (Monday): Pittsburgh can clinch a playoff bye by winning out, and can still earn home-field advantage if the Patriots stumble. The Texans are out of it.

PLAYOFF IMPLICATIONS FOR NEITHER TEAM
Browns at Bears: The Browns are trying to avoid going 0-16, while the Bears are trying to avoid the embarrassment of losing to the Browns.

Broncos at Redskins: Two of this year’s more disappointing teams are already out of it.

Giants at Cardinals: A lump of coal on Christmas Eve.

Thoughts on Corey Littleton ?

maybe I have trust issues....IDK.
I saw the games vs Philly....and Minnesota...Hell, include Dallas too.

I think the defense needs to be dominant to advance in the playoffs.

Suck up!

Just kidding....:rolllaugh: Boni knows his crap.

Funny shit !

The Rams defense has always been built to stop Russell Wilson . Aaron Donald is like a magnet to him. He was not 100% game reDy the first time they met this season.

I think The Rams defense is finding there way. They will be playoff ready.

Mark Barron has been banged up all season. He gets his days off of practice during the week. McVay just talked about how first team reps help Cory to be game ready.

There are quite a few Ram strong points as we approach the playoffs...

The Rams can beat teams in so many diverse ways.

Running
Passing
Scoring
Defending run
Defending pass
Scoring defense
Turnover differential
ST punting
ST kicking
ST return game (Cooper)
ST kick coverage
ST punt coverage

Plus, the Rams are relatively young and healthy right now.

Honestly, this looks like a pretty complete team in multiple facets of the game. When several of these are clicking at the same time, look out! It can become a rout rather quickly.

I’ll say this. I wouldn’t want to play us right now if I were another playoff team. Any playoff team.
As long as we keep playing, "One-Game-at-a-Time!" and maintain the "We-Not-Me" Team attitude we will go all the way to the Super Bowl!!
