2018 NFL Mock Draft: Seven-round mock lays out path for Los Angeles Rams’ draft class

Dont see the Rams drafting a WR this year, have 7 on the roster now including Tavon. Would sub a FS or CB in that spot. Certainly do agree with the other positions drafted.

Agreed and I understand sometimes you always take BPA, however, the Rams already used their first round selection on a WR (Cooks) so they will sign a few UDRFA's to round out the roster for camp, but Safety is deferentially an area where they should add at least one during the draft.

Re-drafting the 2014 Draft (bye Aaron Donald!) Poll

Of course Jimmy Garoppolo is the 1st QB taken

People forget what kind of limitations he had/has coming out of the draft. Blake Bortles, with as much scrutiny he takes, has been above average in his career. The Jaguars were terrible for the first few years he was there. What makes anyone think Garoppolo would have been any different? Now the Jags have some talent and they were a few plays away from reaching the Super Bowl. And Blake played an outstanding game under the lights.

I cannot wait for people to see how average Garoppolo really is. We’re going to destroy his bitch ass.

But yeah, Aaron Donald would probably go #1 and I would take Khalil Mack instead.

Brett Favre on concussions

It sounds harsh, but you are right. For years and years we knew that a similar condition occurred with boxers, but for some reason, everybody just accepted that it was part of the game so to speak. I don't understand why football is different.
It’s all about the money my friend. The NFL does not want to get sued or lose money. They’ll dumb the game down just to keep their profit.

Rams Possible Draft Prospects

It would require some shuffling of our current draft picks (starting with dropping down a bit lower in Round 3):

J Sweat - FSU - EDGE - R3
J Jewell - IA - ILB - R3
S Griffin - UCF - ILB/OLB - R4
BJ Hill - NC ST - NT - R5
W Teller - VT - OG - R5
B Toth - Army - OT - R5
R Thomas - JAX ST - RB - R6
S Quessenberry - UCLA - OC - R6

Finishes the DEF and gives us depth on OL.

What depth at OL? Tooth has a 2 year Army commitment.

Rams Could Reshape How Contending Teams Approach the NFL Draft

I'll agree with that! I don't think 9-7 will get those 9ers in the playoffs either...so screw them. At the end of the day, Rams only need to have a record of one game better than the other NFC West teams to get in the playoffs. I hope this year we focus on getting the #1 seed, not just getting in the playoffs. History shows the #1 and #2 playoff seeded teams win the super bowl over 50% of the time. Philly was #1 seeded last year and they pulled it out.

I suspect that Cooks is being underestimated by some...

Several teams wanted Watkins...His price ended up being...what top 2 wr paid in the league....your market price typically determines your value or worth....

I don't know what Cooks will make on the open market....no one does....

but

I can almost guarantee he won't make what Watkins has commanded.
Again, we don't know. Cooks numbers are better.

Draft Contest, Anyone?

I see there's a thread asking how to kill time before the draft, soooo...

Anybody up for a draft contest?

To keep it simple, I recommend just listing the 32 prospects you think will be drafted in the 1st round (draft slot doesn't matter).
But if anyone has anything better/different to offer up, have at it.

Jrry32 Post-Cooks Trade Mock

Nice job @jrry32.

Only pick that I'm lukewarm on is Christian, who's a bit soft on film but when you look at the OTs who the Rams will be able to get as projects it's iffy as F so I suppose he'd be a solid pick there.

I'd take that draft.

Analysis: Phillip Lindsay's nickname is the "Tasmanian Devil" because of his endless energy, toughness, and refusal to let his size limit him. At 5'7" 185 pounds, Lindsay is definitely undersized, but that didn't stop him from rushing for 2726 yards and 30 TDs over the past two seasons at Colorado.

Lindsay is this year's "Patriots" fit on offense. Have to think he's a bit higher on their board than most other teams.
