Tavon Austin Traded

Maybe the whole restructuring was agreed upon by Tavon so that he could be traded. Or are you talking about some other thing?

Maybe. If Austin and his agent decided there was a better chance of him getting all the money by reducing the guaranteed roster bonus by $1 million, converting that million to a guaranteed salary, and making the $2 million bonuses easier to reach, maybe that was the deal. But that argument requires it to be easier for him to find a new team by being traded for something of value with a $3 million contract, rather than finding a $2 million contract from any of 31 teams who wouldn't even have him count against comp picks. I find that unlikely

Rams Next Cinderella Story (Luis Perez)?

Kurt Warner beat Trent Green to a Gold Jacket. He was a diamond in the rough that nearly nobody recognized. His story is unmatched. If there any other undrafted/unknown back up QB that made the hall of game? None that I know of in the modern ERA.
agree! I've heard some great stories but noting like Kurt's. I heard they were going to make a movie soon about him?

Josh Rosen is a dbag

Look people, i will start handing outs pink slips to those of you who just can't seem to resist adding your political and social political views to threads that get steered off in the wrong direction. We are paying attention to those members who always seem to be in the middle of it. Its not hard to figure that out.

Don't do it. THIS is not the place for that. Mods just locking threads isn't getting the message across either, apparently.

With pick #89 in the NFL draft the Rams select Joseph Noteboom OT

McShay was basically slamming this pick this morning in the First Draft podcast. Basically ranting that his fellow teammate OL Matt Pryor drafted by the Eagles later on is a better player and will become a better pro player than Noteboom for the Eagles. He called Notebooms tape "junk". Interesting hot take on a guy who started 40 consecutive games. Go to about 25 minutes in the podcast http://www.espn.com/espnradio/play?id=23366702 (Btw I dont agree with him just delivering the message) lol
LOL I heard him saying that on TV. He clearly knows his agent or something.

Just Curious

I guess the layout is different on different operating systems and devices. I normally use Firefox 52.3 ESR but when I went back to 50.1 the site font looked different. Personally i like having everything up at the top. It means I can AdBlock the bits I don't want and keep the bits I do want, (no offense intended about the bits I don't look at). I'm a compulsive blocker. :D

The forum logo, the home icon, and FORUMS all link back to the home page so I AdBlock the logo and icon. I also don't use CHAT or MEDIA so I get rid of them. That automatically leaves me with other options which I can keep or AdBlock. These are my original and altered screen shots:

Vegas Odds: More money wagered on the Rams to win the Super Bowl than any other team

They are the closest team to Vegas that also made the playoffs last year, plus they had some big offseason additions. As @bubbaramfan pointed out, oddsmakers in Vegas set them based on what they think will make the casinos the most money. They really don't care if their odds reflect any reality beyond what is needed to get bettors into the casinos to place bets on football teams, and perhaps as long as they're there, gamble on other things too.

OK, I'm requesting something from video experts.

Yea, there were far to many commercials period and they always seemed to come up during the Rams picks. I refuse to watch those dumb asses on ESPN, so I don't know how things went there. I never even heard about the trade with the Falcons and told my wife that I was pretty sure we did not have any picks in the 7th round. I am a fan of Griffin and the football player he is but boy did they run his story into the ground.

What Grade Do The Rams Get For This Draft?

I can understand your frustration on some of the ones you wanted, besides Griffin, the others you mentioned weren't drafted as high as most of sideline GM's thought they would go. So maybe that's why they get paid and we don't. But Griffin really hurts, especially with him going to Seattle and having to watch him and his story being paraded around, driving that knife deeper in.
There's a while other side to we are not the ones who have to cut him if he fails either

Ejaun Price

They definitely beefed up the front seven in that draft.

I would imagine that they realized they had to.
They had to have noticed that after Brockers went down our defense went down with it.

Our starting linebackers weren't good enough against the run to be able to survive that Atlanta game without Brockers upfront.

Top 30 visits

So of the 30 Snead was able to select Four who were targeted pre draft visits: I might want to remember this for the pre 2019 Rams Draft ....

Obo Okoronkwo, EDGE, Oklahoma 5th rd.
Justin Lawler, EDGE, SMU in the 7th rd.
Jamil Demby, OL, Maine in the 6th rd.
Micah Kiser, LB, Virginia in the 5th rd.

Yup top 30 visits are one of the best indicators of who the rams will draft. Brian Allen, Sebastian Joseph, Joe Noteboom, and Franklin-Myer also had pre draft visits that I couldn't find on twitter.

Sports POLL: Grading the Los Angeles Rams’ selection

I'm optimistic he will work out. More importantly, he fits in with the sort of player the Rams have looked for last year and this year, with but a few exceptions.

He has a good body of work.
He has stayed healthy.
He is very smart.
He is highly coachable.

He should fit into the Rams plans, and he filled a hole for 2018, and will likely fill a greater hole in 2019 or 2020. People worried about the Rams losing 3 OL next offseason have reason to worry less.
