Atlanta and Matt Ryan sign New Contract

I keep wondering how much owners can keep shelling out without hitting a wall. Ryan getting 30 mil for 16 games? That's almost 2 mil a game.
Billion dollar business....not even close to a wall....they could split 1 billion, 32 ways...and still pay out contracts like this...

Stands to reason to draft a QB every 3 years to replace your starter...it's cheaper...unless he's like Brady. Foles and Keenum showed something last year...Ryan will show something else....I will say...with Ryan at QB, we were outgunned at home...he refused to let his team lose.....oh yeah...completed less than 50% of his passes in college....

In Their Own Words - Kiser Eager to Make an Immediate Impact on Rams Defense

With the close of the 2018 NFL Draft, 11 college prospects can now call themselves Los Angeles Rams.

After a draft haul that saw the franchise make moves to acquire 10 selections in Day 3 alone, the Rams were able to replenish depth at multiple positions — bringing in several new, dynamic playmakers.

And now that the big event has come and past, therams.com will be taking a look at each member of the club’s 2018 Draft Class.

Linebacker was one of the Rams’ clear needs heading into the 2018 NFL Draft. Not only will Los Angeles likely be without both of its starters on the outside, but it also lost one of two starting inside linebackers — trading Alec Ogletree to the Giants during the offseason.

And while each of these losses represents a potential hole in the Rams roster, they also spell new opportunities for the four incoming linebackers drafted in 2018.

Virginia’s Micah Kiser is one such player. Kiser was the second player in ACC history — after current Panthers linebacker Luke Kuechly — to lead the conference in tackles for three consecutive seasons. He is a versatile player who comes to L.A. “ready to contribute and be as productive as I can.”

Here is Micah Kiser in his own words:

On his reaction to becoming a Los Angeles Ram:

“I’m pumped. This is a blessing. I knew along, I knew the Rams organization liked me as a player and were interested. I’m just so happy to be a Ram, so glad that they chose me.”

On what he brings to Los Angeles:

“I’m a very smart linebacker, a leader on the field, and a great player. Very productive, I think I’ve been one of the more productive linebackers in college football over the last three years. I’m just going to come in and do whatever they want me to do — special teams, linebacker. I’m just all about the team and I’m just a football player.”

On if he believes he can come in and make an immediate impact:

“You know the roster, but everyone at this level is a pro, so you have to come in and work. Anyone can play. Anyone that gets picked in this draft or is a veteran, is a great football player. So, I’m just ready to come in and put my best foot forward and be as productive as I can. I feel like I’ve done a lot at the college level and it’s only going to get better.”

**LA RAMS 2018 DRAFTED AND UNDRAFTED ROOKIES VIDEO LIST**

Is he related to Quintin Mikell, who played safety for a few years with us?

Doesn't seem like it, the only thing they had on him at the link was pretty much this.
_________________________
Southern Miss Golden Eagles CB Curtis Mikell
What Mikell lacks in size he makes up for in fight. He arrived in Hattiesburg as an undersized receiver, but he leaves as an unpolished cornerback with a ton to offer the Rams’ 90-man roster. He’s likely only in the mix on special teams, but he’ll be worth keeping tabs on. As far as I understand, there’s no relation here to former St. Louis Rams S Quintin Mikell.

Andrew Whitworth No. 87

Doesn't look like it. One place on Reddit says Goff was an honorable mention as 117th on the list. FREAK!:fuelfire:

If thats legit I won't be watching the show ever again. Whatever, when Goff retires with 4 rings and Jimmy G-String ends up a journeyman they'll regret doubting him.

Rams Top 10 Individual Single Seasons

Yeah, I had a hard time narrowing down my list, but I chose to only feature 1 season per player. 1999 was a great season for Marshall, no doubt; but imo his 2000 campaign was even more spectacular. W/o Warner for 5 games Marshall really carried the load and set the single season TD record (26) in just 14 games. Also eclipsed 2k yards from scrimmage for the 3rd straight year.

I get ya.. but what Faulk did in 1999 was crazy rare.. .only done once other time.. and 20 years later no one since. Even in the age of the pass.

With the 111th pick in the NFL draft the Rams take Brian Allen C

OL in general went earlier than "projected" this round. How many people had Billy Price and Ragnow rated in the first round? Centers were being drafted and maybe they felt it's best to get their guy then and not gamble.

A lot of people had Settle rated higher than when he was drafted, and Holland, a guy praised by some here, wasn't drafted at all, so it's hard to predict how teams actually value these guys.

Daniel Jeremiah Breaks Down the Rams 2018 Draft Class

I saw a clip with the coach and another guy. They said he did not have a run that resulted in a loss all season. That is one amazing stat. The kid does not like going out of bounds. Would rather deliver a hit and fight for more yards. I'm warming up to this pick.
Again, it was Daniel Jeremiah that considered Kelly his favorite pick of the Rams...

I like Noteboom the best....but I agree with the.....overall type of players selected.....my only concern is Allen.....I actually like the way he's played on film...I don't like his size/height/length....I wonder how the OC from last years udfa class looks after a year in the weight room

Can we talk about the season tix for a moment?

This exact point was the dagger in the heart for me. I can deal with the PSL, but I can't deal with shelling out $8000 a year for 2 tix.

Wow $375 per ticket per game?! Is that for all seats???
I thought I heard this was only for the "Premium" seats. Looking at the presentations stadium layout there are still tons of seats not listed. So I'm thinking once the premiums are gone the rest will be up for grabs. Then we will see the prices for us lil guys
