Comments, questions, concerns: The way too early Camp Convo

No real word on how Ebukam looks.
Actually early on in training camp McVay said he was real pleased with how Ebukam is looking, being real quick and strong in his attack.
Sounds like Littleton has the Mike spot locked up. Wilson and Hager platooning at the other spot?
In the article posted today about the ranking of the wide receivers on therams.com site that Ebukam and Barron already have their starting spots all seen up with Littleton, Wilson, and Kiser battling for the other ILB, and Longacre likely winning the other spot outside opposite Ebukam.

Is It Too Early Talk Fantasy Football?

It's never to early to talk fantasy! There was a thread made a few weeks ago, but nothing has come from it.

https://ramsondemand.com/threads/rod-fantasy-football.54890/

I'm personally not in a position to be putting money on FF, but I'd be interested to hear about other players who play and how it works out for them.

Hopefully this picks up steam the closer it gets to September. Thanks for the reply.

BIG Mistake by VetRamFan! I'm sorry!!!

Great thread and it reminds me of a smilar situation when I was playing football for the Air Force many years ago...We had a guy who was assigned to our base coming from Germany trying to make the team and he paid another guy $100.00 for #89 and this is not the NFL, so I asked him, why he had paid so much for that number because I thought it meant something to him and his response was, well our best receiver is Johnson and he wears #88, I'm hoping they mistake us from time to time. @VeteranRamFan bringging this up just jogged my memory and it was an 8 and a 9.....

However, I am happy that Allen is outplaying Perez although I still feel Mannion is set to be the number 2. but it only takes a couple of plays in preseason to turn some heads. Allen will have his chance as I look for Goff to get minimal reps maybe one series in the first game a quarter in game two, Quarter and maybe half of the 2nd in game three and no snaps in the 4th game, so plenty of playing time for Mannion and Allen with Luis Perez to hand the ball off in the 4th quarter.

Putting down your animal

So sorry this happened.

I've met some Pits and dogs that look like pits and some of them were the dopiest, sweetest animals you could ever know. But that's just not all of them, unfortunately.

That said, I'm also very grateful that we're not talking about the mauling of that 10 year old or your mother in law.

I was jumped by a German Shepherd when I was a kid and I never really got over my fear of really big dogs. Don't tend to like small dogs either, but unless the big dog's smiling, I tend to get scared pretty quick.

Hope the kid's okay. Even a non-biting show of aggression is enough to really mess a kid up.

Sorry for ya, bud. He looks like a real sweetheart with a great smile.

CAMP REPORT Sun July-29 Camp Thread

That artist is pretty good.

Both of those you shared look just like them, with the artistic flare.

I followed the twitter feed. Some guys son did three - Westbrooks, Talib and Hekker. I didn't see Hekker posted yet.

Here it is!

Attacking the rams from defense or offense? I can't get it

Given his amazing memory for all things football, and the fact that he's had all offseason to brood and plan based on what the Falcons did - I suspect McVay is ready and champing at the bit - for teams to try the same thing again. Especially with Cooks available. "Just try it, mofos!"
Indeed
In addition, I'm thinking Jedd Fisch will/can/might add a wildcard element to things.

Count Down - Jersey #42 - New 2016 Version!

Sad story for some older Rams fans out there like me who may remember Kirk Collins the Baylor DB Selected in the 7th Round of the 1980 NFL Draft, 176th overall by the Ray Malavasi regime....the talented kid from San Antonio had 5 picks in his short time with Los Ramos.

I say "short time" because I remember Rams HC John Robinson going to visit Kirk Collins in hospital in 1983 PreSeason as the poor kid got diagnosed with gastroesophageal cancer and died on February 22, 1984. :sadwalk:

RIP Kirk Collins

Rams Window

They've done a great job loading young talent around Goff at the skill positions. Offensively it looks like a nice multi-year window where we're going to score a ton of points.

Threats to that window are...

1. OL. Retool is pending most likely with 3 FAs after this season and our starting LT being 37 in December I think it was. Oh and Sullivan being long in the tooth with a history of back injury too.

2. Defensive roster. This season will tell us whether the moves will result in a better unit. But there are plenty of question marks, mostly at LB both inside and outside and extending into the secondary, not to mention the AD situation and how things pan out there.

Duck Boat in Missouri - Truly a sad disaster

I am not familiar with the boats. I keep picturing an amphibious troop carrier as seen in the movie 'Saving Private Ryan'

It has a permanent canopy covering the top so that the passengers are shielded from the sun.

If a person inhales water and it fills their lungs because they are submerged they are almost certainly going to die unless they are pulled out of the water in a minute of two. It can take up to a few minutes to actually be clinically dead, but it can essentially be over in 30 seconds or even less.

These are floating deathtraps.

What Interviewed Ram Do You Most Like?

1. Michael Brockers: I was charmed when Brockers gave his first presser after moving from DT to DE, and gently chided reporters about his change of status. He is a smart interview.

He's thoughtful about what he says.

3. Johnny Hekker: I don't know what happened with Hekk. He is funny in a quirky sort of way and used to have a "What the Hekk" show for Rams.com when the team was in St Louis. Don't think badly of me when I say that he probably had that Midwest, homogeneous white guy appeal that they no longer wanted. I think Dani was replaced for similar reasons. The LA market has a much more multi-ethnic demo, which maybe his look and humor was thought be out of place? Hekk is a funny guy whenever he is given any time to speak or interview others.

Hekker cannot be #3. I agree with @Merlin you were on something when you made the list so we forgive you. It's a great topic.

Robert Woods: Intelligent, humble, complimentary of others, and interesting.

He's like Brockers, his responses are thoughtful. You can tell he respects the reporters too.

@jjab360 nailed it about LA not discovering Hekker yet..........someone should send out some demo tapes for him.
