Let’s hope this isn’t penalty in the regular season bc if it is it’s going to be a longgggg season

At the end of the day, it's not the rule itself that is so upsetting, it's the implementation of it. Mainly, they call a penalty, and on replay it's obviously not. That's what blows everyone's mind.

So, if they're going to add these "judgment" calls, I think they should be automatically reviewed. If not automatically, allow a coach unlimited challenges on these judgment penalty calls, but if called correctly, maybe tack on an additional 10 yards to the penalty.

That's my solution. And, these days they should be able to do the review quickly. Let some replay ref make the call and relay it to the field. Bam, make the call, line up for next play.

Well, here is the Ram contract philosophy, I think...

Is it me or do you get the feeling Snead & McVay are 2 bro's from a differ mother. You can see they really get along in presser's and interviews. Plus how McVay stresses "communication" its runs through the entire from office now. Its clear as day EVERYONE appears to be on the same page and wanting to get stuff done for each other, for the better good of the team!
John McVay leadership is oozing through Sean's DNA :mrburnsevil:

NFL Worst Throws of All-Time

There was a "throw" made by Kyle Super Boller in the Dome up in STL that was an absolute abomination. I can't find a video showing it, but it's probably just as well. It turned into some kind of freaked up fumble turnover TD for the other team. It was completely self inflicted... nobody even was close to him, much less touched him. God awful.

@Ramrasta and I still talk about that crap to this day. We can laugh about it now... but it took years before we could.

So, how does one best evaluate a draft, anyway?

A late, late 3rd in ‘19 doesn’t make up for a latter third part of the 2nd rounder in ‘18, Barrison.

Not unless Watkins really blows the doors off in his one year with the Rams. And he certainly didn’t.

Look, S&M took a chance. I not only get that but I supported the decision at the time. I’m just not gonna try to pretend that it wasn’t a mistake. In a hypothetical do-over, I go in a different direction.
Not a mistake. The team benefitted from the trade. Did they get full value? No.

CAMP REPORT Fri Aug-17 Final Camp Thread

To be fair to mannion, it should be noted, that the last 2 times we saw him play he was our 2s against there ones. Thier teams highly motavated to ours not so much. He has played ok and produced some scoring at times in the preseason, 2s against 2s. That being said, I think his release and his feet are to slow and he has not had any wow moments.
About playing with the ones. He isn't In competition with Goff, so not necessary for evaluation.

Why Does NFL Media Hate Jared Goff So Much?

I bet most of them never studied or reviewed Jared Goff's play. He started off slow/bad especially for a number 1 pick. The media types have to form a fast opinion many without researching (looking at game video) and understanding the bad Jeff Fisher culture. The 2017 offseason produces more negative evaluations of Jared Goff because they need something to fill the TV airwaves, internet podcast and articles that are attention grabbing. They have made their stand and even when Goff produces a solid season they can't let go of their bad opinion and point to the new coach as to why the dramatic improvement. It's so easy to say it's the system and other players around him and not give him credit instead of admitting they were wrong.

The funny thing is many here saw things in the first season that showed why Goff was picked number 1. We saw the videos of his college success that improved year over year. Jared Goff proved he can make all the throws. He can move up in the pocket to create time and space. He just needed time to understand NFL defenses and is still learning.
