The "experts" predict 2018 records for all NFC West teams

I actually enjoy her takes. It's nice to see someone that looks at the merits of each team from a unique perspective other than the groupthink nonsense you see with most of the media. Like her or hate her, she definitely does her own thing and uses matchups/stats to try to make informed decisions.

That said 9 wins lmao. Only way that happens is if we suffer significant injuries. Like losing Big Whit, or Jared. I don't even think losing Gurley would do that tbh. This team is too talented and well coached.
If Big Whit goes down, I still think we can win 10---if Noteboom stays healthy.

My Pet Peeve About Superhero Films

I always took it as a messagethatthe rich people in society always win. The almighty dollar! I hate Batman.

I could see that interpretation. It doesn't explain how Batman can casually bench press 1000 pounds or how he's mastered every martial art known to man in his 30s, though. He has too many super human feats to be just a human or even a "peak human", which is how they refer to him, Catwoman, and similar people in the DC universe.

Rams' Nate Holley earns highest PFF grade of any safety in preseason Week 2

The Los Angeles Rams put together an ugly performance offensively against the Oakland Raiders this weekend, scoring just one touchdown and 19 total points. The defense, however, stepped up in a big way by limiting the Raiders to just 15 points.

Arguably the best performance on that side of the ball came from unheralded safety Nate Holley, who signed with the Rams this offseason. Holley had three tackles and two passes defensed, nearly coming away with an interception for the second straight week. His performance was good enough to earn him a spot on Pro Football Focus’ Team of the Week with an overall grade of 90.5 – the highest of any safety in the NFL last week.

Holley played 26 snaps in the Rams’ win over the Raiders including 15 snaps in coverage. From those 15 snaps, he was the primary coverage defender on two passes, and broke both of them up. Undrafted in 2017, Holley made a solid case for a long look at a roster spot with his performance on Saturday afternoon.

Holley was the only Rams player to make the team on either side of the ball, but it was a well-deserved honor. He was great in coverage and flying to the football, making several plays against the Raiders.

He still has an uphill climb toward earning a roster spot, but this performance will certainly help his chances, especially if he can contribute on special teams, too.

Sean McVay’s Current Contract?

He's my favorite Rams HC of all time and that's going back to the mid 70s. (I know, I'm just a cub)

I would love for him to stay around as long as he has the enthusiasm to do so.

That said, if he doesn't get that work/life balance sorted out (and he admits readily that his current GF is super out of his league...he refers to it as "outkicking my coverage"), he's likely to burn out which would be accelerated by a breakup and no time to date due to his obsession with football.

Vermeil was really good with the Eagles, and granted his burnout was emotional, but it happens.

I'd love for him to stay around for a really, really long time...until after the next owner kicks...I'd love for him to be on his third owner and 11th Lombardi and then decide to wrap it up, but that only happens if he gets some balance in his life.

If you saw the Real Sports special, Bryant Gumbel quizzed him on three plays from last year at random. And McVay knew exactly the play and what happened. My son is high functioning autistic and that level of recall comes at a price, trust me.

2018 QB Class

I never get too excited about Rookie QBs facing Vanilla D's in the Pre-Season. Most of these guys are just not close to being able to read complex NFL Defenses when they come out, and during Pre-Season, teams don't do a lot of that. Just feels like a false-positive way too often.

Exactly, everyone gets hyped after a preseason game or 2 and starts projecting great things. Then things get real and rookies start to look like rookies. Hue Jackson is probably right Mayfield needs to sit on the bench as do the rest. Darnold might end up starting but the Jets don’t have much else but teams like the cards should be perfectly fine with having the rookies sit.
