firstly waking up at 4 am to watch a rams is pretty much the best start to a day and after 2 cups of tea and a coffee it occured to me
this was Mcvay firing back at the critics of one Mr golden arm Goff (plus a little payback for last year),While our QB simply doesnt care what people are saying about you can bet his coach (and team mates do)
How many times have we watched a segment on the telebox read a tweet on the internet that Goff is just a member of the party bus
"Mcvay talks him through coverage"
"the offense goes through Gurley "
and now the fabled
" he is a product of the system "
well i see you system QB and agree, but not like you you would like me to mr and mrs main stream media
Goff isnt good because of the system ,,Goff is the reason the system is so good . he is almost becoming fearless with his throws..double covered no worries ..deep ball ..ill drop it in your hands ..please blitz me i dare you..
Goff put the league on notice last night and did it against a preseason favorite for the superbowl (but they havent beten anyone with a winning record blah blah blah ) . there isnt a team that wants to face this rams team right now and while i like to remain even keel and know theres a long way to go in the season ...
can we just give Goff a ten year bazillion dollar contract ..please and thanks
.
Great prediction, dude!Woods - 8 rec, 95 yards 1 TD
Kupp - 9 rec 88 yards 1 TD
Cooks 6 rec, 125 yards 1 TD
Gurley\Other - 10 rec, 80 yards 1 TD
That gives Goff 33 completions(7 incompletions), 388 yards 4TD
Sounds realistic.
Tom Brady is a system qb , if Jared wins 5 superbowls I would be fine with thatIf a system can make an average qb look this good, that implies
Other systems suck and make qb's look bad. (see former Fischer Qb's in last year's playoffs for before / after comparison )
Qb's throw to open receivers. Systems get the receivers open. Both are needed to complete most passes.
1st 3 game stats dont mean anything now that our top 2 CBs are out. Look for the defensive approach to be different. More blitzing, more zone. More scoring from the opponent. The front 7 will have to get sacks. We need more pressure from the outside.A few thoughts:
* They're getting held a lot (more than is being called) - so that's a positive in that it derails opponent's drives
* They're still getting pressure - that is a pass rush - also good
* The team is winning
I don't care if they get any sacks... if they're 3 - 0 and the margin of victory is 22 points per game!
Young people don’t write anymore. It’s all typing. My kids who are almost as old as McVay and have signatures that I could improve upon using my left foot with a calf cramp.
That's fair. I just thought they were weird picks. The Vikings are a popular choice. I assumed the saints might be as well. The bears threw me off completely.Chargers because they got really good players on both O and D. Vet QB, top RB, etc. They constantly underachieve, and I thought this was if everyone played up to the their potential that team could be best in the NFL.
Bears same thing...if Mitch plays up to his potential da Bears are also better all around. And I thought this was teams after the Rams.
Lets just let this edit die.
Fair enough.
Good point. If you would edit my quote to prevent further discussion.
