Malcolm Brown (clavicle) out remainder of regular season

Any news on whether Brown is going to be replaced on the 53 man roster for the remainder of the regular season ?

Don't know that they would need another RB right now, but adding one of the three offensive linemen on our practice squad could be helpful. Maybe it's just me, but having only 7 OL on the 53-man roster seems a bit frightening ...
Best I know is Malcolm Brown remains on the master roster still. Not sure what's the hold up they said the injury & the healing process would be 8 to 10 weeks. Meaning Brown might be able to play in the Super Bowl on February 3rd, 2019.

Here's my answer I gave last Wednesday.

3 YEARS LATER: 2016 Rams Draft Grade

Going up and getting Jared Goff was criticized widely due to him & Wentz being perceived as not worthy like the previous draft's 1-2 QBs were. Laughable as that is now, it was indeed something I was irked by after the trade up and damn it feels good to have Jared in horns.

the rams were so lucky both qbs were perceived that way. there's no way they could have traded up to the #1 pick if goff and wentz were highly regarded like, say, luck and rg3.

Five free agents that can help a playoff contender right now

Some PFF guy thinks that there are certain guys on the street that could help playoff teams. But, it seems that the actual football people in charge of those playoff teams might have a different opinion.

For example, Andy Reid coached Jeremy Maclin. So when the Chiefs needed a WR for their playoff run, you know who they got? They signed the recently cut Kelvin Benjamin, with his 57.5 grade, and his attitude (with a large side of fries?).

Well, considering that I have an ideopathic seizure disorder likely caused by the lesion in my brain and nothing else has worked fully including Botox... then I’m willing to try it.

Yes for sure you should, I wasn't trying to discourage you but rather encourage you because I know your issues. Just be careful what you buy, and know that company has had a run in with the FDA for false claims. So watch yourself, many of these people are in this business to make as much as possible while claiming they are just trying to help people who have medical issues.

CBD oil is the new snake oil in many ways.

But there is some chance that it'll ease your particular symptoms, and I hope that happens.

Whenever I don't see you on the board for a few days I know most likely why that is. We've posted together for about 18 years now. I know.

TNF: Jaguars at Titans

Neither do I but you don't have to, there are a dozen threads with titles made each week that let you know how the GDT was.

Yeah these days I tend to scroll past those as well.

Oh no, that's not what I was suggesting at all. To me, it was just clear that some of the Jaguar players gave up on the play. It was a ridiculous run. Not discrediting Henry at all. Dude is a stud.

I mean, I watched that run many, many times. It was a good blocking at the first level, two stiff arms by DH, and one bad effort by the Jaguar defender. It was just one.

After watching the rest of the game are you ready to recant your initial thoughts about that 99 yard td?

.

No. I already acknowledged the rest of the game.

What's the deeeeaaaaaal with Joyner??

Yep. He simply doesn't have the instincts to play deep. Doesn't have the size to play SS. He's been exposed and exposed and exposed and would be on the bench if they liked what they had behind him. I still think he might well be benched by end of the season too tbh.IMO Wade would get better production from Christian at SS & Johnson ranging deep middle.

On this agree ( Again) JJIII came into college as a corner, play corner & did play some SS. In his best 2 final seasons he played & started @ High/Free Safety. That's why Snead drafted him. JJ III put up some solid numbers at the combine in a few areas, namely his vertical jump (37.0 inches, 4th among safeties), three cone drill (6.72, 2nd among safeties) and 20 yard shuttle (4.18, 4th among safeties). The big negative on JJ III is that a 4.61 forty yard dash in the combine but that was nearly 2 years ago. I say let him star again back there & he is a smart kid!

Wade has been utilizing Strong Safety Christian all season in the weak side interior LB Barron post in relief. MC has been improving & his play this season indicates this. I think that MC handle the SS post for the remainder of this season if JJ III was moved to the high safety.

So where does Joyner go? I still recall years ago where LJ played OLB'er in the Williams Defense up near the LOS. So if MC takes up the SS post then Wade can give Christian's former relief of LB Mark Barron to LJ, who is far better up close to the LOS.

If the Rams face Seattle or Dallas after the bye having this change above in our secondary IMO....will improve the run defense in a big way.

Big whit on the herd

Whit has been an invaluable addition but I wonder what the plan is for the future, I think he has one more year then what? He’s very good but not what he once was and susceptible to the outside speed rush. And then there’s Noteboom, I think it’s great that he’s been able to learn from Whit and get stronger but at some point you have to play. And both guards are solid so you don’t want to move him there, so do you just wait til Whit retires ? I guess it’s a good problem to have but at some point you have to find out if Noteboom can play.
Its a very large consequential pending question for this 2019 Ram team. Its no secret that When LT Andrew Witworth lined up on Goff's blind side....poof! Goff was a bona fide NFL starting QB.

Snead & McVay do have options available if AW does not retire after this season concludes. AW has a very big cap hit in 2019 $16 million for his services. McVay & OC Kromer may plan to cut down on the snaps that AW gets each game blending & mixing in OL'er Noteboom in the 2nd & 4th quarters of each game. Whatever by "planned design" to insure that the 37-38 yro old 2019 version remains healthy & fresh & NOT worn down & tired late into the season. Plus continue to rest AW during the week in the same manner as they have done this season.

We might even see a trial balloon in the next 4 games where Noteboom is eased in to relieve AW @ LT post.

Rams stand a good chance to draft another LT maybe a future clone of AW in this draft too, to add to the OL talent to ensure that Goff remains unmolested. The rest of the NFL are now fully aware of Goff's Achilles's. Never know AW may find LA & the Rams Organization is a good place to work for in his future new occupation as an OL Coach as Kromer moves further into the OC role.

DeMarco Farr/Myles Simmons Mailbag: 12/7/18

I love Demarco's style lol, dude always cracks me up. He really should be in broadcasting, doing TV analysis. So many of those guys are dial tones, or tend to over-hype whatever player they're talking about. But I always enjoy his take on things dude just gets it.

Oh and btw I think the Rams should do a weekly throwback special where they bring in past greats when covering the next week or the previous game or whatever. Weekly guest spots basically. There's a ton of those guys still kickin from the old LA days, and of course the STL dudes too. I know the Rams do a good job of getting them game/sideline access but a vid series would be really cool.

Report: Les Miles to be next Kansas football coach

Yeah, he needs some good assistants if he is going to put Kansas in the playoff picture. Miles seems to be more of a Manager type.

IMO, he won't put Kansas in the playoff picture consistently, maybe one year, however, I do believe he can get this program to a consistent 8-3 with a descent bowl game and in Lawrence if he can accomplish that task, he'll be their best Head Football Coach since A.R. Kennedy 1904-1910 and the calorically challenged Mark Mangino 2002-2009.

Sean McVay breaks down the entire Bears defense

Aqib Talib won't be on a snap count vs. Chicago on Sunday
By: Cameron DaSilva
https://theramswire.usatoday.com/2018/12/06/nfl-rams-bears-aqib-talib-week-14-update/

In his first game back from injured reserve, Aqib Talib was put on a snap count. He was on the field for just 26 plays in the Los Angeles Rams’ 30-16 win over the Detroit Lions, playing extremely well in limited action.

Sean McVay said it was the plan all along to ease Talib back into action after he missed eight straight games with an ankle injury. He checked off the first box and now Talib is ready to go full speed in Week 14 against Chicago.

On Thursday, McVay indicated that Talib won’t be on a snap limit this weekend and should be a full-go.Plan for Aqib Talib right now is full bore, no pitch count, according to #Rams HC Sean McVay

— Vincent Bonsignore (@VinnyBonsignore) December 6, 2018
The Rams allowed just three first-half points against the Lions, which is when Talib was on the field most. Matthew Stafford had trouble moving the ball through the air and even though Talib didn’t break up any passes or make any spectacular plays, he provided lockdown coverage.

Now that he’ll be let loose on Sunday, the Rams’ secondary play should improve substantially. With tight coverage on the outside and Aaron Donald up front, expect more of a quick-passing game from Chicago.

Buying tickets for playoffs tomorrow - help needed please

Massive thanks to @socalrams90 for letting me use his code. There were very few tickets left considering they haven't hit the open market yet. It's going to be rocking!View attachment 27334
Never mind I figured it out. The wife and I are thinking about going. Tickets are pretty cheap and flights aren’t bad either. Just need to find a hotel.
