"Assume the qb back there is on his way to canton. That's the way to prepare for the game."

Never truer words spoken. We've all seen the rams almost blow a sigh of relief when the backup comes in. Then he proceeds to make fools of the defensive players. Hasn't really been an issue with mcvay in charge but they did somehow let folds lead the eagles to victory last year when they were behind on the scoreboard as he entered the game. Unforgivable slip up. Gave the eagles home field advantage and forced the rams to play in the first week of the playoffs. That didn't end well.

Their number one goal, don't let it happen again.

.

Home field advantage?

Yeah Eagles fans travel very well. They had a huge crowd at an Oakland game like five years ago and thats hard to do in Oakland have so many fans of the opposing team there. the good thing is that last year,Rams fans still had the bad taste of Fisher in their mouths even though he was gone so it was hard to get them to come back at first with the bad product he put on the field, now with mcvey and a much more exciting product,we should have a lot more than last time to off set them hopefully.

Both certain playoff opponents handled the Rams

I’d rather lose to playoff teams having great defensive efforts than lose and perform bad against a garbage team like Tampa. I haven’t lost any confidence in the team or it’s coaches.
I mostly agree. Losing to Tampa would disturb me more as a fan than losing away at New Orleans and Chicago. The Rams won't be playing in Chicago again, and we still have a chance to get the #1 seed..

I didn't like Brian Allen allowing a free pass to Goff on that one play. Collinsworth was driving me crazy about bad mouthing Goff's passes, when the pass was tipped or his shoulder was grazed by a defender which affected his throw, or the TE's were either dropping passes or not running great routes. But there was also an uneasiness/lack of confidence that I haven't seen in Goff since Fisher. McVay will have to shorten some of his plays when playing a great DLine.

I used to be very confident about winning the Eagles game, easily, which I am not so confident now. I am proud of our defense, because they have done well the last two games with Talib back, as I knew they would. Allen needs to really study the Bears tape of his performance, and Whit...Whit seems to wear out at this point of the season, but then he was facing Mack a lot, so maybe that's not fair to say. I will say that McVay and the offense needs a come to Jesus moment, and get right vs the Iggles.

Worthless and NBC

.

during the telecast yesterday worthless began talking about mcvay communicating to goff until the 15 second mark on the play clock. then on the next few plays they showed the play clock in half the screen until the 15 second mark.

they did this on a few occasions. does this irritate the freak out of anyone else? how is it still news? why is it a thing for goff only? i don't get it.

so in summary, worthless is a freaking corksocker.

.
Don't you be talking sh*t about my "Favorite" color guy in the whole world!

Le'Veon Bell is Enjoying the Steelers' Misery

Oh, now that is a tough look for the Steelers. Something they can not be in any mood for right about now. It’s got to be like going on Facebook to say you just got laid off and have you’re ex reply with this:

And to think, it wasn’t that long ago that they had Upper Hand with Le’Veon Bell. The whole middle third of the season they were on an unstoppable roll. Just over a month ago they crushed Carolina 52-21. James Conner was the living embodiment of “Le’Veon Who???” sentiment, with five 100-yard rushing games and five 50-yard receiving games in his first eight.

It looked to all the world that Bell had overplayed his hand. But since then Connor’s totals have been 65, 25, 53, 60 on the ground and 8, 24, 42, 14 through the air. The Steelers have lost three straight. Including one at Denver where they outgained the Broncos 527-308 and this debacle against the 3-10 Raiders. And now Bell has hand.

To make matters worse, Bell is piling on at a time when the Steelers need a win against a Patriots team that is coming off one of the great, cosmic, titty-twister losses in their history and knows they need to win out to get a bye week in the playoffs.

And speaking of history, here’s the Steelers’ history against New England in the Mike Tomlin era:

So if ever there was a good time to have your formerly beloved, one-time franchise running back-turned-jilted, resentful ex-spouse waving his d*** at you (and I don’t know why there ever would be) this is definitely not it. But there it is. Bell just sitting at home unemployed, waiting for his massive pay day to come, and enjoying his former teammates’ misfortunes. It would take a heart of stone not to laugh.
ll that's funny... dumb all the way around. But entertaining :)

Great news and a question

I initially read this typo as "punt" instead of "pound."

Now *that* would give opponents something to think about

Ha, that would give them something to think about for sure...I think it might be time for a pass from Gurley in the red zone on second down...Not that Philadelphia thing though, I wouldn't take any undue chance of getting Goff smushed...And yeah, smushed is a word, at least in my vocabulary

It's fair to call Goff elite now

Feels like some boderline trollish activity going on if you ask me.

I'm not sure the discussion adds value to the community. It fails me as to why it is so important, but it sure seems imperative for some of our members to make thier point that Goff isnt elite. I dont think the players even made it off the field before the rumblings of "See I told ya" were started.

This isnt a debate I'm willing to participate in any longer, So I'm like....whatever man, puff puff pass.
