Los Angeles Rams Still Contenders After Week 8 Win

"It would take something incredibly catastrophic for both of those teams to slip up enough for the Rams to overtake them"
It would take something catastrophic to overcome Seattle...one game in front of the Rams, lol.??????

For Seattle: Vikings, Philly and 2 SF games might lead to 2-3 losses ....not even counting they can lose to the Rams....so, Seattle easily could be 11-5....while the Rams could possible go 11-5....though I ain't counting on that---unless they trade for Trent Williams.

Rams are going to get better, I just don't see them going 6-2....though I think they are better than every team they play, including the Ravens and 9ers.

NFC West

Anyone that is conceding the division to the Niners isn't being realistic. Just look at their schedule. Anyone thinking they can sweep both the Rams and Hawks is fooling themselves. Now look at the Niner's remaining schedule. I see 6 losses in that part of their schedule.

People thought the Browns were for real too and look at what a dumpster fire they turned out to be. They can lose 6 or 7 games as fast as they won them. They have a mediocre QB and you still have to score points to win.

They caught the Rams with an o-line that barely could get out of it's way and two CBs that were struggling. The Rams o-line is improving and with the departure of an aging Talib and prima dona Peters who won't tackle the secondary is much improved. Remember without the Henderson fumble it's a 6 point game last time around. They will be facing a much improved team next time around. Winning early is one thing. Winning throughout is something completely different. The Niners haven't proved anything except they have a good defense.....good not elite.

Los Angeles Rams vs. Cincinnati Bengals: Week 8 broadcast map

This season's schedule and last season's are like night and day...I don't recall many weeks, if any, last year with the Rams & Cardinals playing at the same time. This year already they've been playing at the same time 3-4 weeks. Last year we also got all the double-headers here where many featured the Ram game in the second-half.

Yesterday we got one FOX game: Niners/Panthers

I got excited when I saw that the Ram game was on CBS this week. Til I checked the full schedule to see that the Cards were also on CBS...at the same time.

Thx for nuthin'.

Meanwhile, DISH thinks I cancelled RedZone when we set up shop in AZ last year, despite the fact that I was getting it last year, all year long.

That sucks. I hope the rest of this season is better for your viewing pleasure.(y)

Five Takeaways: Another complete effort has Rams feeling good entering bye week

My Debbie Downer take is that we let a terrible team stick around until the fourth quarter. Defense was only able to stop their offense sporatically and gave up waaaaay too many long conversions.

I know they won by two scores, but there were times when the offense and defense both looked FLAT. 5 years ago, I think we all would have been very happy with this game, but the expectations are much higher nowadays, as they should be. I don't think the Rams look like the best tean in the NFCW as of now.

I thought they coulda won by more. But this is the NFL. The guys on the opposing side are professionals. In an elite fraternity of athletes consisting of the best players in the world in that sport. It ain't always gonna be easy.

The last two teams we played have a combined 1-15 record. We beat them by a total of 41 points. The Seattle Seahawks beat those teams by a total of 8. That is the NFL.

Edwards-Allen-Blythe (E-A-B)

I have issue big issues with our present OL obviously. The youthful Rams who were the 2018 NFC Champions has now dropped out from the top of the NFC & now dropped out of the top six NFC teams in the standings at this point. If the season ended today we missed the playoffs & go home. And I am suppose to be happy? The biggest reason for this fall from NFL top level teams is mostly on the OL.

I understand that we have lost 3 starters 2 on defense 1 on offense. That one offensive player was our LG Noteboom. Starting Noteboom's six games graded performances were below NFL starting OG average level. His post has been filled by a 2019 OT 5th rd draft pick rookie. This rookie has improved the play @ LG since Noteboom's injury.

The Rams right side has been targeted all season long as the weaker side. Before, this season started Havenstein was thought to be on the rise to pro bowl level....currently he has degraded to where most ROD members want Rob Havenstein out @ RT. Could some of his issues be due to whom is playing beside him @ RG?

The current signed 2020 projected starting Ram OL

LT- David Edwards 23-2> Bobby Evans 23-2
LG- Austin Corbett 25-3>
OC- Brian Allen 25-3 > Coleman Shelton 25-2
RG- Jamil Demby 24-2
RT- Rob Havenstein 28-6>

Injured Reserve/ PUP projected on OT Joe Noteboom till the Rams 2020 bye.

I can not consume the "Be Happy & Contented" with our present OL that contains a very weak RG. If it remains the same the Rams season will trend downward with our exit from playoff contention by early December .....(n):(

Well, ... that's why its become Scherff or bust for me since I first raised his name as a possibility a few weeks back when everyone else was talking about Trent Williams. The Rams may just be one player away from placing deeper into the play-offs THIS season, so if there is any way possible, a move should be sooner than later. Sure, it would still be great to grab him as a free agent in 2020, but we are in a pivotal situation right now, and after tomorrow there is no going back. jmo.

We went easy

A ton of assumptions on your part.
And now for my assumptions....
I think he was conservative to shorten the game and not give the Bengals an easy way back in.
Get to the bye week and get there as quickly (healthy) as possible.
Kupp finished with 220 yards.....another whole good game away from Flipper’s record. He would have need another 136 yards to reach his record.
A coach play calling to try and get a player a record like this sort of record is bad bad bad and something I would hope McVay is smart enough to not do.
Also, I would assume the Bengals changed their coverages on Kupp.
It was a solid win going into the bye week.
Enjoy it.

Week 8 2019 - Game Day Menu for our London Rams ...

I baked a couple loaves of sourdough bread first thing, which I let ferment all night, so I just made a bomb ass Boar’s Head maple turkey Sammy with provolone, and some jalapeño chips.

For breakfast I made a breakfast burro with eggs, hash browns, bacon, and cheese, on a previously uncooked flour tortilla.

For dinner, I’m going to re-heat some spicy, yellow, chicken curry, I made the other day.

I spaced on the whole England thing, but I think it’s awesome a lot of you thought of it.

Cheers everybody!
