Backspace

I think you could be right @flv. I applied some patches a few weeks back. I have one more to do, which could impact this (possibly). Reading the details of that patch, I don’t see mention of this.

The other changes you see... yes, those were cosmetic alterations I made for the hell of it.

There is a really cool update to the software coming soon I will be sharing with the board in short time. It still may be a 30-90 days away... but it’s a nice one that gives alternate post formats, for topics, articles, polls, and questions... it’s a nice design we will really like. (there’s a teaser for anyone who sees this post)...

week 1 results

I haven’t tallied my winnings... But I think I went backwards.

I did find a futures game here in Canada that allows online play. Made a few low dollar wagers there.

I picked Rams and Cards on a couple due to nice lines, and they are teams in the CoVID season (which who knows right now how things go) seem like good enough teams that could win some games... see what happens.

NFC EAST

I just hope the Skins are for real.

The Niners got a dam cake schedule at the beginning....

Jets
Giants
Eagles
Dolphins

Then comes murderers row.....

Rams
Patriots
Seahawks
Packers
Saints
Rams
Bills
Washington
Cowboys
Cardinals
Seahawks

I don't see any way the Niners win 8 games, which is delicious.
This week versus the Jets will show a lot.
They should blow them out early.
If the Jets stick around and make a game of it, the SB loss hangover is in effect.

RUMOR Rams/Cowgurlz Celebration Thread

Hmmm let's see on another block on a run he pulls and totally whiffs but the run is successful regardless. On another he gets blown off the LOS but again the run is successful because the RB changes gaps. If you subscribe to the Kromer way of grading I suppose he played a good game. You offer his double-teaming as examples of his good plays? He wasn't even the primary blocker on those plays. On pass plays, he is routinely walked back into Goff but Jared's quick throws saves the play. PFF calls that a good block, I call it a speed bump block.

The hit on Jared is exactly what I've been warning about. Goff is the one guy they can't afford to lose. I specifically warned he's vulnerable to stunts and this was a perfect example of it. The Eagles have a good front 7. The o-line needs to be sharp next week.
Some of the double teams it was the guy over him they were doubling other times not.
I wasn’t saying he was great on double teams I said the double teams worked well and in most cases the RB was running off the double team.
Not sure what your hard on is with Blythe but he was solid.
And also, the Rams don’t have any other options that are better at this point.
Most of the passes were quick design throws.
I hope Goff has developed some hall of fame level of pre snap reading or the ability to go through his options in under 2 seconds but I doubt it.
It was a good game plan that was executed well for the most part.
This includes Goff, the receivers and blockers.
Enjoy it.

Please just read this:

Heres one you may appreciate more - https://defector.com/why-your-team-sucks-2020-arizona-cardinals/ Ver batim " the Cardinals went one step further in March when they traded what’s left of David Johnson to a deeply confused Bill O’Brien in exchange for DeAndre Hopkins, who never drops a pass. They didn’t even have to give up a first to do it. This is the kind of deal that your fantasy commissioner would have voided, but Goodell let it pass through unscathed. God, I can’t wait to do the Texans preview. Alas, I’m still stuck on this team. I feel like I’m visiting relatives I don’t want to visit. Very Arizona feeling. " Also - ":Larry Fitzgerald is still here. Color guys have been heaping lifetime achievement awards on Fitz for over a DECADE now. I’m sick to death of it. The man goes for 0.2 yards per reception every year, and yet I gotta act like he’s already retired and wearing a Canton jacket " ----Now, I love Larry Fitzgerald......but, so true.

Key to Entire Season - McVay

I think it's gonna be the players. This staff is locked in. We just need the players to execute.

The OL has to grow and improve week to week or we won't be a playoff or serious contender. The defense needs to be good too, and if our OL is shaky it will need to be elite. And so on.

Right now we have some good and bad but hey we're 1-0 and I'm pretty stoked about that. Just gonna enjoy it for now. :beer2:

Just a quick thought about Staley’s ability and willingness to adjust on the fly...

There was a significant difference in what the Rams D surrendered in the first half and in the 2nd half.

In yardage, top, and points. I’ll leave the X’s and O’s to be explained by others more qualified. But it seems to me that Staley analyzed what Dallas was doing in the 1st half and made some darned effective adjustments at halftime.

The results speak for themselves. I think that this ability in a Coordinator is priceless. I further think that this is one of the reasons that McVay was so excited after the Staley hire.

I also think that if Staley can keep this up, he might have a very bright future.

20 Random Post-Game 1 Thoughts

According to PFF Akers was actually better after contact. Take that for what it’s worth. Get the rookie hesitation out of the way and we might see something awesome in the future.

Yeah and I think the Rams know it too. They're gonna keep rolling him out there and it's gonna be fun to watch.

Just saw this on twitter, I didn't catch this last night HAHA
