Yeah, I mean, after that last memo...
If the NFL has made ANYTHING clear over the last decade, it's that if you ignore an official memo from the league offices, they will drop Mjolnir on your face...
If they do it again, they'll have to walk barefoot over 10 yards of Legos.
Pretty sure Legos to the bottom of one's feet is worse than Mjolnir to the face. I mean... Legos are serious business...
Hope you didn’t forget the great Jeff Kempden and I remember the great Pat Haden....ahhh...the memories

Adams is definitely not great in coverage. That's why he's not a cb and not as valuable as Jalen Ramsay. It seems you can go straight at Adams downfield and we will. You can bet the Rams are already thinking about ways to isolate him against our receivers.
Wow man. That is a really cool write up. Thanks for doing that. I feel you really show me what I'm looking at.I love McVay's offense. Not just because he is successful, but also because many of his concepts are based
out of the single wing offense ( Pop Warner's brilliant contribution to football).
There are a couple key elements from the single wing that McVay uses wonderfully.
1. The Mesh- The mesh is where at the beginning of the play there are 3 and sometimes 4 backs or receivers
meeting at the same time or in quick sequence creating ball fakes that threaten the defense in
3 or more different directions. Usually these threats will involve a sweep + inside run + counter + play action pass or QB
bootleg in opposite direction as sweep. If done correctly it can leave the defense in complete confusion.
McVay uses the jet motion, which I love. threatening the sweep with Woods or Kupp combined with trap , pass, counter threats
or whatever combo his badass offensive mind comes up with.
Another beautiful threat of the mesh is that you will have several plays that all look identical pre-snap. sound familiar ?
I coached the single wing for many years and on more than one occasion I would have refs come up to me
after the game and confess " coach, I had no idea where the ball was half of the time". ( Pop Warner was a genius)
2. The concept of- using a tight formation to create space
If you watched the game Sunday night, you heard the announcers speak on it.
It seems most everyone is in love with some sort of spread offense.looking to create space by spreading
the defense pre-snap with spread formations. But there are also advantages to the tight formations.
The tight formations create more space from side to side, making the flats much more difficult to cover.
We saw McVay tearing the Cowboys up, in the flats.
Another advantage is that it makes pick plays much easier to achieve.
The year Sean Peyton was suspended he helped coach his sons football team and had to face
a single wing team. Here is a quote from Sean after being routed in the championship.
“We spent all week, we talked to Bill Parcells and Jon Gruden and asked them how to defend the single wing,” said Payton. “You have no idea how much time we spent. You guys put 58 points on the board.”

The Pop Warner Offense That Confounded Sean Payton, and What It Says About Offensive Innovation in the NFL
Much of the talk this offseason has been about stopping the read-option, but in Asshole Face’s year away from the NFL, he had trouble with a much different offensive attack: the single wing. D…grantland.com
Here is a very nice breakdown of how Woods plays the game. Not just the highlights but also when he has difficulties, i.e. no punches pulled just an honest objective assessment. It will help educate those who want to understand the intricacies of playing WR. It will make you really appreciate how good Kupp and Jefferson are.
I think you will like this as much as the last one on McVay's offense. Enjoy!!

This is not what McVay said. He expressly stated that it was his decision to bring the team back to LA between the Philly and Buffalo games. His reasoning was that, with covid restrictions within hotels and also against being able to go outside anywhere from the hotels, staying out in a hotel on the road was more disruptive than going home.
Then he talked about having consulted training experts on Circadian rhythms, and concluding that a really quick turnaround trip-- flight out the night before, get up and play, go right home-- was the best way to go.
So McVay analyzed the whole thing and came up with a plan, as he always does. It worked really well for the Philly game. Now he has three more East Coast trips to try it out further.
philly fans loyalty was always paper thin. Yeah I said it.
Yeah Mike McCarthy making decisions left and right that should have cost them this game. His go for it on 4th last week may have lost that one. He's on a roll.
Well, to be fair to our d line. The Iggles diled up a short passing game to try and protect Wentz.I hate to complain after a win, but Rams had absolutley no pass rush, No pass rush from the edges, Ebukam sucked and they bottled up AD. That does not bode well going up against teams like Seahags and Cards.
Yes. Producers...who's job is to create a buzz, pander to the target audience and keep them coming back for more.Like all news, the story lines are decided by management.
FYI, Beautiful, smoky So. California! Home of the big D, Disneyland!Dude where do you live? Haha jk
I ended up finding it online
If the 2020 NFC West is going to be 1 of best ever divisions it will come down to the 4 games with the Patriots and road visits to Dallas, Philadelphia, and Buffalo. So far 2-0 in those 10 games.Hi guys, I really should be working, but I was already hyped for football and this 2-0 start is really not calming me down.
Everyone is talking about how this NFC West is probably the best in football and they are right, the line up this year is crazy, it feels like any team can win it and the idea of having 2 teams in the wild card round seems like a strong possibility.
But even more than that, I am quite convinced this division might come out with the best division record in the Superbowl era. The two best divisions according to my research are the 2007 AFC South and the 2013 NFC West (hey again). Both had a total combined record of 42-22, but when you exclude the games inside the division it gives a 30-10 record against teams outside (and that's what's interesting, as a perfect season for a division would still mathematically have 12 losses against other division members, fuck ties).
Soooo, let's look at the current outside of division record and the opponents of the NFC West this season :
6-0
The NFC West is perfect against opponents outside the division so far. Pretty good start !
Now for the schedules, we all play the NFC West and the AFC West. Those are two of the worst divisions. Sure the Cowboys, Eagles, Pats and Bills will not be easy wins, but none of the NFC West teams are legit underdogs against either of those 4 (as of today of course)
It leaves us with the two extra games : Seahawks playing Falcons (W) and Vikings (who just got stomped by the Colts, ok) // 49ers playing Saints and Packers (I hope they lose both) // Cards playing Lions and Panthers
As things stand today, I think the odds of the division losing less than 10 games against that opposition are quite strong, and with our current collective record of 6-0, it means anything better than 24-10 makes it the winningest division of the modern era.
And then the Rams will win that division.
