Unofficial Rams @ Bills post game celebration thread

Upon rewatching I am still a bit baffled we actually lost this game.

We started out real slow in all phases.

The offense moved the ball most of the game with ease - stalling out a few times. I actually don't think Hekker trotted out on the field one time.

The defense really tightened up after the Bills first second half drive that was basically 3 or 4 big plays.

We have got to blitz more and tackle better.

The refs were very erratic in this game. Ebukam was flagged for a roughing the passer early in the game that Jared got hit at least as bad multiple times in the game.

What Bills fans are saying

You could say similar things about the Dallas game. We benefited that game from the questionable PI call and were disadvantaged by a blown call on an Int. The reverse happened to us this week. Such is life. This game proved to me that this is a much better team than the one we had last year, and that's what matters the most to me. We have a running game, we have an OL, and Jared Goff looks like the 2018 version of himself (the one from the first 11 games). We had none of that last year.
Yeah. I can't complain about the call. This is the NFL. We have benefited in the past and the last thing I want is to whine like the fucking saints and sphincter face.

Injury Report 9/25: Cam Akers ruled out for Bills game, Darious Williams questionable

Hendy took advantage and played well but the line was dominant in the run game too. Guy like Hendy is at his best when that happens and yeah it was nice to see him bursting around out there.

Akers will probably settle in with him back there and split duties. Which I think is best for both of them. I don't want either of them to get too many snaps and wear and tear and be all beat up for the playoffs. Use the committee, keep them fresh, and ride that healthy competition.

Eh, yes and no. The OL certainly was great, but Brown was struggling against Buffalo because of their team speed. Henderson's explosiveness to and through the hole definitely made a difference in the game.

Holy Crap Josh Allen is a turnover machine

I do find it a bit “interesting”... when you think about it...

Josh Allen goes from choker to hero... based on that final pass interference call.

I am not blaming our loss on that call... just sort of pointing to the simple fact how different the story would be written if that call wasn’t made. Specific to Josh Allen as a hero. One call.

If it went the other way; he’d be a choker in the eyes of the media. Instead, he’s a hero. The pivot from one to the other.

Maybe.. I get what you are saying. But wouldn't have gotten the blame - their defense would have mainly gotten the blame. They are supposed to be elite and we crushed them in the 2nd half.

Van Jefferson

Very interesting that Reynolds had 62 snaps compared to while Jefferson only had 8 against the Bills. I thought they were about even in the first two games. I have to wonder if it was for blocking purposes or if Jefferson ran a poor route on Goff's INT that changed the snap counts that much. It would be a good question for a reporter to ask. I will say that Reynolds did have a nice 4 catch 60-yard day for 15 YPC. It's something to watch.

OK, so who should be our new Punt Returner?

In defense of Kupp, if he can't get under it and isn't comfortable catching it (the sun is in his eyes or whatever) he should absolutely let it roll rather than risk the turnover. That's the kind of play you need to be smart on. Better to let the offense work rather than risk gifting more points.
I agree with this take... looks like Kupp lost track of both the ball and where he was on the field, so rather than make a risky fielding attempt, he just got out of the way. He probably could have played it better, but at least he didn’t put the team at risk with a turnover.

My guess is that Webster must have had a few drops in practice, otherwise he’d probably still be back there.

Please banish the throw the pass backward play at the end of the game.

.

the chargers could have won the game with the lateral pass from allen to ekeler but ekeler dropped it.

i still don't understand why nfl teams don't hire rugby league coaches to teach players how to pass the ball backwards with greater accuracy and incorporate it into the gameplan. just watch some rugby league tries to see how it's done and how easy it is to score instead of trying to block ahead of the runner.

.

If you do 2 or 3 laterals then 1 out of 10,000 it might work... but once you start chucking it 5,6,7,8 times it just ends up being negative yardage with a fumble.

But i think that is a smart idea - study some rugby tactics

SNF: Packers at Saints

Good grief. At least here a bad call is just that...a game has plenty of opportunities elsewhere.

Yup. Our game today is a perfect example for us to eat our own crow in that regard. If we stop the Bills on 3rd and 22!!! that BS DPI call doesn't happen.

Aints fans are the most jaded crybabies among the league.
