Rams- Seahawks, Rams are angry

Hey, you guys remember 2 seasons ago when Donald got to Wilson and swung him around like a little kid ?
You think this next game if AD did it again but just leg go at the apex and watched the Ewok fly, flail and roll to a stop, maybe bounce once or twice, he would get a roughing the passer penalty ? You know, kinda like a Olympic hammer throw ? Maybe he could take out a Seahawk or two bowlling pin style. 3 for 1 deal.
"Hey ref, I just let go of the dude"
Lets find out. But please AD, do it in the 1st quarter !

If you were an opposing defense

Play Jefferson over Reynolds. JR has zero awareness and average competitive desire IMO. He will make an excellent catch and then show limited effort on other routes or balls. I don’t see a situational master with him and he’s been very disappointing on 50/50 balls. He doesn’t use his height or length to attack the ball. He’s 6’3 and plays like Cooks. Play VJ and let him learn on the job.
I like Reynolds but he is the definition of a soft receiver. Save for 1/100 plays, you know he isn't going to win a 50/50 ball. Can't highpoint the ball if his life depended on it, isn't good at selling corner-initiated contact and doesn't know how to "play defender" on errant throws. Even if Jefferson is only marginally better than Reynolds I say start him. He'll only get better with more reps.

SNF: Cowboys at Eagles

I never really got in to the Wentz vs Goff stuff because I truly liked them both. So while I cant actually root for Wentz success (I hate the Eagles and live in Eagles territory) I do feel that I appreciate his skills. But last night? Man, while his results werent as tragically awful as Goff, he sure looked equally inept at moving the team.
Wentz' 2 fumbles & 2 picks came against a D that had only 1 pick heading into this game.

His fumbles came after holding the ball way too long. Goff's were off of jailbreaks off the edge.

Favorite 2020 Rams Player

Goff and AD
Yep, how could you NOT love these guys. Goff is a ascending qb, developing into a real leader, can throw the "frozen rope", smart, humble. Just a very likable young man. And if you do not like his dry sense of humor something is wrong with you.
AD, what else can you say about him. How many times has that guy, when we needed a sack, just turned it up a notch and got what we needed. There are so few players in the NFL who can do that. He never stops, relentless does not even fully describe him. Just seeing him flail the Chia Pet(RW) around like a rag doll AND lifting the Ewok(EE) off the ground with one fu*king arm like a little kid is enough to go legend. He does this stuff so often we are spoiled.
And both, I say BOTH of these guys have NEVER missed a start. priceless.
Sit back and enjoy them and feel lucky, because we are.

Rams activate LB Derrick Moncrief

It would be great if this guy was the answer to our inability to cover the short middle of the field.

The only time we stop that play is when the WR drops the ball, the QB throws it bad or a safety comes up (Burgess, Fuller) and makes an immediate tackle.

Our LBers are getting roasted. Our front 4 has been really good vs run and pass and our DB's have been solid vs the pass.

Not only does a 3rd SS type help with this glaring weakness, but with Wilson and Murray coming up, we need to have speed on the field.

I agree.

I think Travin Howard was probably destined to be the ILB who stayed on the field in obvious passing downs because of his speed sideline to sideline..and he played well defending the pass last year when he got the chance to play. Micah and Kenny Young in that spot isn't the optimal situation although I think Micah has defended the pass probably better than most thought he would, and can obviously get better.

But Moncrief is actually more in line with Howard's skillset, and if he could be a solid pass defender, he honestly needs to get some reps in games. It could make our ILB rotation even stronger.
