GDT: Cardinals at Rams

There are a lot of pieces that can be second guessed or rearranged after every game to say what if or could of should of.....

My assessment on the wolf man with only the one game is without a run game with Everett possibly trying to ruin Wolford's career and most importantly no Cooper I'd say he played very well. His release is quick, his accuracy seems good and he throws a very nice deep ball that showed that only the timing was missing. He seems to work through progressions well and it was mentioned a couple of times he also looks off receivers gets corners to bite seems to be as cerebral as he is athletic football wise.

Most importantly his response to the interception and how confident he was and the fire he showed. I wish we could see more. We may get to but either way at some point I want to see a lot more to see if he is starter material or special.

I will say not bashing Goff but he has been under pressure for numerous reasons on and off the field critics second guessing himself etc. What I don't want is to have a head case on the field next week and please if he isn't 100% and I mean 100% don't play him. It will scar him even worse should he have a bad game or half and starts letting Wolford get into his head etc. If healthy just go out there and be the Goff everyone wants but if not sit this one out.

Sugar Bowl

I understand, but again, you don't want to give a team extra motivation, there is a difference...Sometimes you need to let sleeping dogs lie...Give this a listen at the 1:04 mark, I get it's Urban Meyer, but IMO the best Coaches don't say much.

It's also worth pointing out two more things: Ohio State has had at least equal talent to Clemson and ESPNs FPI had it as a coin flip game.

When a game is potentially that close, ranking them 11th and then also saying "there's only six games so they'll be a quick study" - not smart. Obviously both teams will be motivated, so no reason to hand out extra motivation

Does anyone know what the Cards injury/covid list looks like?

If Baker, Fitz and Edmonds end up not playing they neutralize who we have out except Wolford/Goff until we see how Wolford plays.

Kirk and Fitz equal Kupp and Baker is the leader of their D and best Defensive player if he is out that is huge. Combined with Banjo and their safety corps is hurting.
It’s been a bunch of weeks now but they’re also without chandler Jones who isn’t AD but is a stud in his own right

The Jets game

They've picked Alex Barron, Jason Smith, Greg Robinson in the 1st round since then along with quite a few 2nd and 3rd rounders. Not like they don't think along the same lines.

Who evaluated those guys? Is Boudreaux still here? Was it Loney? When was the last time they picked a center earlier than round 4?

You can't use the past failings of other staffs to grade this one. Sure Snead was a common denominator for one of those guys but position coaches go to these after season showcases and sit in on player evals too. At some point they need to fix the glaring hole in the Oline or concede to fall to annually struggling to make the playoffs. I'm pretty sure thats not their plan. I'm just not sure I understand how they are going about it. Maybe they'll draft a few more safeties this year.

I sure do miss...

The Rams having a potent offense, it has to be driving coach crazy having to dink and dunk down the field. The season is not over but i have to admit im already looking forward to the changes that will be made on offense. If there is one thing that is true it is that coach and snead are not afraid to make changes. Goff will be here.. couple of o-lineman and a deep threat is on my wish list. Oh yea and an improved special teams.
