CELEBRATE !! Rams Win, End SeaHags Season Celebration Thread!

George Carlin said quit living in the past it's over keep moving on. He never mentioned our Rams. This is still Amazing. And fuck all those "dexiatwd4" Seacocks fans I knew for 10 plus years every season connected as ya know friendly fire until recent they can fuck off too.

Ha ha I enjoyed that but Gordon Ramsey what an absolute knob (even if it is all staged).

Cam Akers reflects on rookie season

The one thing Mcvay really lacked in my opinion was designed pass plays for Akers. It’s so strange. Brown in, dump offs constantly for minimal gain or forced punt due to his ability to do anything in the open field. Akers in, rarely sees a pass. It’s one of the huge things missing that could really change games. This was one of our secret weapons with Gurley. And Jackson and Faulk. And Akers can really catch the ball and make guys miss in the open field.
Yeah the dumpoffs to Brown are annoying. His continued fascination with not just Brown, but also Reynolds and Everett drove me batshit all season lol.

Fortunately all those guys will be gone next year. Only concern I have is our backfield is like a mash unit at times.

20 Random Thoughts: Season Finale

I think the quote had to do with current habits... post Super Bowl, post 2nd contract with hot girlfriend. As in, he WAS more of a workoholic... now, he's more of a 9 to 5er.

The fact that Wolford was always the go to guy for throwing some extra passes after practice? I can see not wanting to get worn out, but not ever? I dunno.

I don't doubt he wanted to be great. Does he still want to be great? I think his competitive juices really kicked in when he was sat after his surgery.

Is that enough for McVay? I have no idea.
I have no idea since McVay runs such a tight ship. But I do think what you suggest is possible.

Either way it would not be the first time a player got paid then shit the bed because they're all entitled and comfortable. And THAT is why I think he's gonna have to beat out other QBs in camp this year. Assuming he's still on the roster which I think is likely.

2021 Rams Off-Season

Brady was fine. He constantly under and overthrew receivers (and threw into coverage) but he also had the most talented WR group in the league. Goff and Wilson would have finished statistically similar if Goff hadn't had double the amount of fumbles. And that's with Wilson running a more aggressive downfield offense.

That has more to do with the game plan than anything else. If the coaching staff wanted to go downfield more often they wouldn't have run or thrown screens on third and long all season.

As for the game plan, like I said, Wolford came in and threw downfield. Goff had routes to throw to down the field - the third and long screens just as easily could have been distrust of Goff - after all he was close to leading the league in turnovers last year, so it's entirely possible McVay dialed those up this year to limit Goff's opportunities to make mistakes

We were right to move on from Todd Gurley.

Yes both Gurley's and Goff's contracts were given to them early, and, had we just waited the timeframe we were allotted, we would have saved millions. Not a smart move by our front office at all. I understand the idea of it, its super attractive to free agents to see a team take care of their guys like that, but it backfired big time and needs to stop.
Hindsight

The Packers certainly exposed us and left plenty of clues for a ‘fix it’ list...

yeah i would hope if we do trade one of those two it would be kupp because of injuries. he seems two have 1 or 2 every year and i don't think it will get better with age
I have to agree. Kupp is one of my favorite players but the injuries are an issue. We are a bit too flush in possession options so I would agree he's probably the target if they make a move. I hate even the idea of it but it is what it is.

If they stand pat at wideout (which I'd be fine with I'm just observing that's an area they could make a move) then they really need a threat to emerge at TE to give this offense a boost.

And this is where the fact that Hopkins didn't even sniff the field concerns me. Because I would think he'd factor in there but if he can't get on the field in 2020 over Mundt, who didn't play well compared to just his own 2019 tape... Yeah.

IMO just add one explosive threat. Could be a TE or a WR. TE kind of sucks because it takes longer to develop, however the best TEs do tend to show something early so if we hit there we would see a boost.

If they do that plus fix Center then I think we have enough for a nice run in 2021 and whoever plays QB (it will likely be Goff IMO) will have more time and more weapons.

Request: Packers OLine holding

On one replay, it showed a pretty egregious shot of John Johnson being bear hugged, on what was I believe Green Bay's biggest run of the day. No flag.

The Packers hold nonstop. Nothing new there. It also was not the reason we lost. We got beaten by a better team. It is as simple as that.
Read what you wrote again and think about it. If holding was actually called on ever team the Rams played this year, we would have played the playoff game in LA instead of Green Bay and Aaron Donald would have broken the sack record..

Rams Defense or Aaron Rodgers?

Yeah but the very first drive of the 2nd half the d opened up faster than a hooker's legs after a john hands her a hundred.

And what would a comeback by the Rams be without either Reynolds or Everett dropping a very easy catchable ball during a drive? I'm so sick of seeing them on the team. The thing was Reynolds stepped up during the game and made some plays and then undid it all by dropping another ball when the Rams really needed him to make the catch. So frustrating.

.
We had a chance if Reynolds catches the ball. How many times this year had Goff leading us back from behind only to have a receiver drop an easy ball that critically put us into a bad situation.

GDT: Rams at Packers 4:30pm ET

Great. I don't care about Bradford. He's ancient history. You're wrong about Goff not reading the entire field or going through multiple progressions. Like any starting caliber QB, on the vast majority of plays, Goff is going to throw where he looks initially. That's because good QBs are able to decipher the coverage often pre-snap and know where to go with the football. It's amazing the praise some of y'all heap on Wolford for a very mediocre game.

In fact, I can give you two easy examples of Goff looking left and then coming back across the field to find Reynolds against Green Bay:
Sorry not going to debate, Goff has many many games to show he went thru a read or 2, Wolf has 1.

You yourself posted Don't know what Goff is,So. And posted about Watson.lol.

Time Tells All and what I'm posting about Goffs lack of reads progression will come true.

2020 Season Appreciation Thread

Sad to see Staley go to the Chargers but I'm certain there are many available candidates to take his place. Just because he's gone, he doesn't take this season's playbook with him and that will come in handy. Rams will be find and I wish Staley lots of success as Head Coach. I know the Rams will make the necessary additions and subtractions to make our team stronger next season and a legitimate Super Bowl contender. I would love Sean McVay to get another chance with the Rams to win a Super Bowl. Go Rams--See you next season and I hope fans will be present at SoFi.
