Terry Bradshaw speaks after Stafford Trade

I like how he said he'd never seen Stafford do pumped in all the years he's known them to be a Ram.

And they keep saying he isn't a ra ra guy or whatever.. my ass! You can see it in certain times, like when he got in Marvin Jones to get the fuck out of bounds. I think he can when he needs to be. And I think TJ Lang said Stafford was so mentally and physically drained because of Patricia.

You're going to see a whole new Stafford in LA!
I think the change will be great for Stafford.
He's been in NFL Purgatory his whole career.

I'm sure coming to the Rams will breathe new life into him.

Matthew Stafford’s 2021 Predicted Stats

Good questions about Stafford’s first year numbers.

Assuming the following?

McVay can once again open up the entire playbook.
Center gets ‘fixed’, probably by Sully-like vet.
Hav gets traded and is replaced by Evans or Boom.
A speed deep WR threat gets added via FA or draft.
Stafford can use TE’s heavily since they won’t be needed to be held in to block so much.

If the above takes place, then I see a 30-32 ppg O once again.

Akers/Hendy will be running wild and Stafford will have his best year ever.

We will see a Top 5 D.

Rams will enjoy a significant TOP advantage almost every week.

I see a floor of 12 wins and a ceiling of 14 wins, maybe even more, despite playing in the NFC West.

Hot Damn!

Trying to understand the value; Goff and Wentz

Desperation. Jesus.

Have to think that is head coach driven too where we know he and Wentz are close. But still. Not only does Wentz need to work on his game but he's also an injury risk.

Sometimes I think GMs really need to take a step back. I wouldn't pay two second round picks. And if Howie told me he's gonna hold out for a first rounder that's a good signal to bow out and let some other team be stupid.

Jim Leonhard Making Huge Mistake

At a time where Rams Nation is so frustrated with the gutting of our coaching and front office staff, wouldn't we feel great if we had a few such gifted men that wanted to stick around to see it all come to fruition?

And not to sound salty, but Jimmy Leonard is not going to all of a sudden be forgotten. He's always been a pretty special human being with a tremendous mind developed under wonderful tutelage. Passing on a couple of high end jobs is not going to change that.

Respectfully,
Wisconsinram

Amazing post and now I understand much better. I guess if you love where you are and what you're doing, there is no need to change, just find it had to believe it's in Madison, where it snows 8 months a year, however, he would not of had to uproot his family coaching the Packers and would have been able to do all the same things, but again, I will never knock loyalty and if Leonhard's goal is to be Head Coach of Wisconsin, then great, but I just hope he doesn't end up like Scott Frost, once he gets the gig.

Rams contract restructures + FA/draft targets

Hard pass, would rather draft a 3rd down bruiser back in the late rounds / UDFAs to replace Brown

I meant for him in that role, actually... He's been remarkably durable and can still pound it when need be. Also, he's still got more pop than most "big" backs.

He's literally one of those vet types who really are only missing a Super Bowl to cap off his career. I def did not mean for him to replace Akers or Hendo.

That said, he's also solid enough to fill in in a pinch.

Matthew Stafford leaves Detroit with heavy heart

I feel for him.

12 years is a long time. The relationships they’ve built outside of football will forever be much more valuable than this game we invest time into. Plus, any person who sticks out tough times in a location will always have nostalgic memories. Picking up your family and moving to a completely new environment with hardly any friends or family to speak of is rough. Gotta have a good support system in professional sports; I know that from experience.

Tearful Kelly Stafford leaves Detroit: ‘There’s just a genuine soul to people here’

Alligator tears. When you want out really bad but need to act like you're sad about it. :ROFLMAO:

I don't doubt her tears are genuine.

While she saw her husband being a warrior and sustaining all that damage, they had to know that Patricia was gonna get fired and they'd been through how many rebuilds over the 12 years there?

Also, the support the community gave to her and the Stafford family while she was getting treated and recovering was and is really something.

I think we'll really like them both when they're officially here.

In 2020 Stafford played with partially torn UCL in right thumb, torn UCL in left elbow, broke rib cartilage and torn muscle in knee

I don't think it diminishes how much I like Goff for me to say that I'm already loving Stafford.
Not in any way shape or form. All it simply says is that you love the Rams.
Prior to the trade I didn't like Stafford. Why? Because I have never watched a complete Lion game.
The more I educated myself on Stafford the more I liked him.
I too used to have dreams of McVay and Goff growing together into a Dynamic Duo in the league.
Just didn't happen. And now we move on.

any HVAC guys here

Rectorseal has R410 no vent locking caps like seen here.

However what I do know is that R410 units are prone to leaks due to the pressure of the refrigerant during the hot seasons. Pinhole leaks at the u bends are a motherf’er.

Raheem Morris

Rams DC Raheem Morris on plans for Aaron Donald, Jalen Ramsey: 'You don't mess them up'

Expectations for the Los Angeles Rams defense in 2021 will be lofty and a great deal of that's because of the all-world exploits of defensive tackle Aaron Donald and cornerback Jalen Ramsey.

So what are new defensive coordinator Raheem Morris' plans on how to use the tandem of terrific? Well, essentially to get out their way.

"You don't mess them up," Morris told reporters Thursday, via team transcript. "Let's let these guys get going."

Morris, who was most recently the Atlanta Falcons defensive coordinator and interim head coach before becoming L.A.'s third defensive coordinator in as many seasons, might well have had the perfect answer when questioned as to how he intends to use Donald and Ramsey.

Donald just won his third AP NFL Defensive Player of the Year and was Pro Football Focus' No. 1-ranked player of the season, while Ramsey, who was No. 64 for PFF and No. 4 among cornerbacks, earned his fourth consecutive Pro Bowl bid.

"Jalen is a great player," Morris said of the 26-year-old two-time All-Pro. "He's probably rare. He's unique. He can be a shutdown corner. You can move him inside. He can play at the nickel position. He's smart. You see his toughness oozing all over the tape. You see his competitive nature just all over the tape. You see the exciting plays. You see what he can be and his best version of himself at all times when he's out there in the field you. Him as a leader, you would love to see him just take that to another level. I can just see people wanting to follow him because of his style of play."

And then there's Donald. The seven-time Pro Bowler is on a Hall of Fame path and then some as the man-beast has likely already established himself as the game's greatest interior pass rusher of all-time. With 85.5 sacks across seven ultra-successful seasons, Donald is a game and game-plan wrecker. And after enjoying watching him from afar, Morris exclaimed over Donald on Thursday.

"Aaron Donald is just so much fun to watch," Morris said. "He's just a disruptor. He's a finisher. He's the guy that just gets things going, he leads by example, and you can just see it on the field. Nothing he does on the field is shocking. Right now, at this point, I'm just sitting here, and I'm just wowed, I'm amazed with some of the things he's able to do. You want to get him aligned up and find the ways to get him one-on-ones, but at the same time he's done such a great job of getting his teammates one-on-one and setting up the guys around him that you don't want to take away that part of his strength either."

In addition to taking on a defensive unit that boasts Donald and Ramsey -- along with standouts Darious Williams, John Johnson and Troy Hill, among others -- Morris is taking over for a DC who moved on to become a head coach in Brandon Staley. He's also taking the reins of the 2020 season's No. 1-ranked defense.

Morris doesn't find it to be overwhelming taking on such a task, as much as a chance to do something special.

"Our whole business kind of deals with pressure. I don't think it's pressure, I think it's more of an opportunity," Morris said. "Anytime you get a chance to join greatness, to be a part of a bunch of winning, like you guys have been able to do around here in the past - to be able to add onto that, to join a bunch of really good coaches and really good players, you're really just fired up more than pressured. It's an opportunity to be a part of greatness and it's certainly something that I'm going to relish."

Morris is joining greatness and it starts with Donald and Ramsey. For the new Rams defensive coordinator, it would seem it's all about the chance to go forth, do something special and not mess it up.

The Ideal Offseason Trade Scenario for Every NFL Team

You mean Cooks, Ramsey, Goff, and Peters? You are aware the Rams gave away first round draft picks for these guys not received them right.

Peters bit on double moves and wasn't worth his contract or headache. Goff and his decision making wasn't the answer at QB. The Rams just don't trade away solid starters for fourth round picks. How long would it take those fourth round picks to develop? Three years? Not good enough when the Rams are in win now mode.

Say What ? Are you talking TRADDING 4 ?? You might be right ?

What did The Rams give up for Peters.I don’t want to look back, but I believe it was a 2nd rd pick.

What about Fowler ?A 2nd as well ?? I’m truly not sure.

My point was not WHAT the RAMS give up.It’s who they just trade away, when the player is not ascending.

Brockers has seen his better days.
Rob Havenstien still has value & The Rams have more depth than some are thinking. Then again I don’t know what Bug Rob means to the offense & look room.

RIP Tommy

I've been a Dodger fan all my life. Grew up about 50 miles east of LA and attended many games. I mailed a ball to Tommy at Dodger Stadium several years ago that I caught as a 12 year-old kid in 1962. He signed and returned it within 10 days. In 2017 I was able to chat for a moment with him at the Camelback Ranch spring training site. (Pic Below) I told him about that ball being fouled by Jim Gilliam and he smiled. The greatest baseball ambassador of all time!

Aaron Donald reclamation project: Jadeveon Clowney edition

I'd rather spent the money on an Center.
hear hear. That's an imperative, in my mind at least. who know what's on McSnead's minds. But fixing the gaping hole at C sure wasn't, not last year nor the year before.
But ya, Von Miller.... wow. Hard pass on Clowney tho. Tired of paying premiums for players only to see them fall apart (TG, BC).

6 Rams players who could earn bigger roles in 2021

I really do believe that Hopkins is just far more large receiver-type than being any part of an NFL prototype TE.

Right now sky is the limit. He has to earn his spot & as always.Next player up. What happens with Gerald Everett?
Josh Reynolds?
I’d say Hopkins & Jefferson really played well in this 2021 season. That is what I call for site.McSnead(Les) have showed growth since 2017.
I look back at Les Snead & the DB’s
amazing how fast they built it up,and have such depth.2019 season I would have never thought they could repair so well.Talib & Peters. No depth at all.Eric Weedle & Blake Christian ? David Long as a 21 year old rookie.

I can talk negative & not think The Rams don’t have things under control,
but just think about how fast The Rams will change things up when needed. Jared Goff is the perfect example. Todd Gurley even more so,because The Rams just cut the cord of one of The Best RB’s in Ram history.
Cam Akers will probably have better stats than Todd Gurley after his 4 seasons ? Which is no small task.
